There are plenty of games that teams have already played against each other. We all know the old rule, it’s so hard to beat a team twice in the same year. We will see.

DIVISION 1 AA SEMIFINALS
No 5 CLOVIS COUGARS (8-4) vs No 1 CLOVIS EAST T WOLVES (12-0)
The Cougars beat Hanford 49-31. The Cougars jumped out early when Dez Malone returned the opening kickoff 90 yards for a TD and the Cougars steam rolled from there.
The T Wolves beat Tulare Union 49-20. Ty Miller rushed for 46 yards, went 13-22 passing for 249 yards and 4 TD passes. Blake Mathieu caught 3 TD passes and DJ Booker jr caught a TD pass. Taemell Horton rushed for 221 yards and scored 3 TDs.
PAGMETER X FACTOR This is a rematch from week 9 and the T Wolves beat the Cougars 52-33. The T Wolves did nothing exciting on offense and still put up 52 points. The big X factor is the T Wolves didn’t play a normal T Wolve game and still put up that many points. Can the Cougars offense stay up with the No 1 team because you just know the T Wolves will.

The Grizzlies beat Liberty 35-14, Brandon Smith rushed for 89 yards and scored a TD. Sophomore Jeffery Amosa had a breakout game rushing for 107 yards. Sophomore QB Jelani Dippel rushed for 62 yards, scored a TD, went 13-32 for 161 yards and 3 TD passes each to Daylon Scott who caught 8 passes for 115 yards.
The Broncos beat Sanger 24-6. McKay Madsen rushed for 197 yards and scored 2 TDs.
PAGMETER X FACTOR This is a rematch from week 7 and the Broncs beat the Grizz 26-21. The Grizzlies had the opportunity to head into the half at 7-7 but instead McKay Madsen returned a Pick-6, 93 yards for a TD that changed the game.
The Huge X factor is Grizzlies sophomore QB Dippel because he will need a big game for the Grizzlies to play on Championship Friday. In week 7, the sophomore who played in his biggest game in week 7, missed plenty of open receivers. I’m looking for JD to have a much better game.
Will Jackson Cinfel be back in the backfield or play some TE? Jackson and WR Tyree Sams will be a go this week after hurting their ankles. The Broncos will need somebody to step up at TE after outstanding junior Ramzee “Ram Man” Hamm who is out with a leg injury. Losing the Ram Man is a big blow to the Broncos offense.
The Grizzlies have the athletes that can go man-man defense and will try to stuff the box. Can the Grizzlies slow down Madsen and the Broncos running game? For the Broncos to win, they must be able to shorten the game with long drives.

The Eagles beat Clovis West 27-22. The Eagles ran all over the Golden Eagles with 313 rushing yards, Caleb Clark rushed for 193 yards. Zack Tayman rushed for 128 yards. Noah Webber had 2 picks and fumble recovery.
The Drillers beat Memorial 23-7. The D had 8 sacks. Brison Abbott rushed for 152 yards and scored a TD. QB Elijah Cavazos threw 2 TD passes each to Isaiah Richard and Jalen Ford and Ford also had a pick. Brenton Brown also had a pick.

The Golden Hawks beat Buchanan 20-7. This was not an upset because the Golden Hawks were the better team coming in. The Golden Hawks defense stuffed the Bears all night long and had 3 interceptions. Jayson Grant scored on a 3 yard TD run. Jadyn Hernandez scored on a 1 yard TD run. Maverick Moore nailed a 39 yard Field Goal.
The Titans beat Bullard 21-14. QB Brady Campbell hit Nsongbeh Ginyui on a 73 yard TD pass. Campbell also hit Kobie Watson on a 12 yard TD pass with 13 seconds to go in half. RJ Green, rushed for 111 yards on 20 carries and scored the game winning 2 yard TD run.
PAGMETER X FACTOR This is a rematch from week 11 and the Titans beat the Golden Hawks 28-14 at Centennial. The score at the half was 7-7 and the Titans scored 13 points to take charge. This will be a battle of two very good defenses. Both teams will be watching the week 11 game film 1000 times.

The Tigers beat Highland 26-8. The Tigers defense stuffed the Scots all night long and gave up a late TD with the game already in hand. Senior QB Jace Gomes rushed for 79 yards, scored on a 27 yard TD run and threw a 16 yard TD pass to Cody Johnson. Jacob Garcia scored on a 3 yard TD run. Aidan Dellinger nailed a 22 yard field goal and Grady Garrison made a tackle in the endzone for a safety.

PAGMETER X FACTOR Can the Cavaliers defense contain Gomes? Jace loves to run and he will want to bounce outside where he is dangerous. The Tigers defense is very good and one of the best in the Central Section. Last week the Tigers were much bigger and much more physical than the Scots. This week the Caves will also be a big and physical team. This game will be a battle upfront and who can win the line of scrimmage. The Caves are the defending Division 2 Section Champions/state champions and this year’s team is completely different from last year’s team. The Cavaliers are almost recovered from injury because of the early non league death march schedule.

The Vikings beat Redwood 28-6. The Vikings defense played a tremendous game. It was a battle up front and the Vikings controlled the line of scrimmage. Connor Davidson, Greg Ross and Noah Payne each made 9 tackles and Dalyn Breckenridge came up with 2 big interceptions. Drew Lunde rushed for 210 yards, scored 3 TDs and QB Kade Holt threw a 8 yard TD pass to little brother Cooper Holt.

PAGMETER X FACTOR The last time the Blazers had a bye, the Blazers beat Tehachapi 24-21 in OT. The Blazers started slow but then came on. The Vikings need to get off a fast start and play a head. Can the Vikings slow down the up-tempo Blazers offense? Can the Vikings slow down outstanding senior RB Case Anders who has rushed for 803 yards and has scored 14 TDs.
The Vikings stuffed the Rangers running game because the Rangers’ are a run heavy offense and Blazers can do it all on offense so the Vikings defense must slow down the run and pass.
The Vikings offense will need a big night to pull off a win. Lunde will need another big game running the football.
The Blazers have won 9 straight games because they also play tremendous defense.

The Marauders beat Lompoc 32-6. The Marauders defense played a tremendous game. Ty Baxter rushed for 110 yards, scored a TD and also picked off 2 passes. DJ Shimer rushed for 113 yards and scored 2 TDs. WR Gabriel Carbajal caught 2 TD passes each from Tyson Harrington and Wyatt Mauldin.

PAGMETER X FACTOR This is a rematch from week 11 and the Panthers beat the Marauders 27-7. Panthers QB Ethan Enriquez threw 4 TD passes and the Marauders went 0-1 in passing attempts. The Marauders love to pound the football and they need a big night to pull off a win over big brother.

Junior QB Adrian Torres went 15-20 passing for 179 yards and 4 TDs. Nicholas Grewal caught 6 footballs and 3 catches went for TDs (3, 17 & 12 yards). Nicholas Mendoza caught a 12 yard TD pass.

PAGMETER X FACTOR This is a rematch from week 3 and the Guardians beat the Lions 33-31. Guardians RB Lee Williams had a good night scoring 3 TDs including a 7 yard TD run and it turned out to be the game winner with 7 minutes to go. The Lions drove down to the Guardians 18 yard line but came up empty with 4 minutes to go. Guardians junior QB Bohden Smith rushed for 132 yards and scored a TD. Lions junior QB Adrian Torres threw 4 TD passes.
The Guardians have been playing with 12 big starters out because of injury since week 5 and of course Garza now has the worst administration in the Central Section and that’s always tough to play for. Garza has taken over the top spot from Parlier and Hanford West as the worst administration in the Central Section when it comes to sports.
Both teams will be watching the week 3 game film a bunch of times. Which defense will step up?

Senior RB Elijah Valdovinos rushed for 147 yards and scored a TD. Junior QB Bradley Dockery rushed for 60 yards, scored a TD and threw a 40 yard TD pass to Caden Haner.

The Eagles beat Mission Prep 22-21, What a game and both of these teams know each other so well. The Eagles scored with 3 minutes to go when Seth Hutchinson scored on a rushing TD to make the score 21-20, Royals, and the Eagles went for the win. The holder Mason Hernandez threw to Jackson Leibee on a well designed option play and the Eagles hung on. Leibee rushed for 155 yards and scored a TD. Junior QB Vincent Rosander threw a TD pass to Wyatt Rasmussen who also had a sack on D. MLB Tyler Romo made 11 tackles, Julian Ornelas with 2 interceptions and Drake Woods with an interception.
The Highlanders beat Wasco 35-17. The Highlanders got off to a great start when Demetrius Simon returned the opening kickoff for a 90 yard TD. Simon also caught 2 TD passes from red hot QB Noah Zamora that went for 47 & 70 yards and also had a 100 yard Pick-6. Noah scored on a 6 yard TD run.
PAGMETER X FACTOR This is the BIG and physical Eagles vs the physical and speedy Highlanders. Can the Highlanders match up with the BIG offensive line of the Eagles? Can the Eagles defense slow down the hot Highlanders offense? Which defense can make the big stops? If the Eagles can control the line of scrimmage, that means the Highlanders will have to hold serve and score almost every time they have the ball. The Eagles are wanting a low scoring game.

The Horned Toads beat Washington Union 23-22. Dylan Teixeira returned a 98 yard kickoff for a TD in the 4th quarter and it turned out to be the game winner. QB Noah Tasi threw 2 TD passes to Teixeira.

The Spartans beat Dos Palos 14-7. Josh Encinas threw for 205 yards and scored a TD. JJ Flores nailed 2 Field Goals. The defense played outstanding and leading the way was MLB Julias Robles who made 10 tackles and 4 sacks.

The Pirates beat Arvin 35-21. Junior QB Jude Pritchard rushed for 49 yards, scored a TD, went 15-18 passing for 256 yard passing and 2 TDs each to Max Andrade and Jaxon Glover and Jaxon also made 14 tackles and 4 sacks on defense. Ben Flores made 16 tackles Luca Clifton with 10 tackles.
The Broncos beat Sanger West 41-6. The Broncos defense is really good. Malachi Orrick scored 2 TD and Knox Moffett scored a TD. QB Emory Dondero scored a TD and threw a TD pass to Carlos Sualez.
PAGMETER X FACTOR Can the Broncos defense control QB Pritchard who is a play-maker? Can the Pirates handle Broncos QB Dondero who is also a playmaker. This is a long trip for the Pirates all the way to Bishop.

PAGMETER X FACTOR The Greyhounds play very good defense and the Pirates play outstanding offense. Sands is 3rd in the state in throwing with 3,397 yards and 37 TDs and 14th in the Country. Can the Greyhounds slow down a team that is averaging over 45 points per game in the last 4 games. Now the Pirates can score and the Pirates will also give up plenty of points.
