Senior QB Noah Zamoroa scored on a rushing TD, went 14-19 passing for 380 yards and threw 6 TD passes In helping the Highlanders win the NYL and a 10-0 record. Noah broke the school record for TD passes (Julian Kelly 33) in a single season heading into this game with 35.

DAVIAN STEPHENSON-CHOWCHILLA TRIBE
Senior QB Davian Stephenson rushed for 219 yards, scored 4 TDs and threw 2 TD passes to Travis Selby. For the year, Davian has thrown for 902 yards, 11 TD passes, rushed for 1,133 yards and has scored 22 TDs in leading the Tribe/Redskins to a 9-1 record.

BRANDON SMITH-CENTRAL GRIZZLIES
Junior Brandon Smith rushed for 241 yards and scored 2 TDs and the Grizzlies beat Buchanan 39-23.

TAEMELL HORTON-CLOVIS EAST T WOLVES
Senior Taemell Horton rushed for 195 yards, scored a TD and the T Wolves won the TRAC Championship and now 10-0.

The Tribe beat Tulare Western 42-23 in the 60th annual Victory Bell Game and the 5th straight Bell Game. Junior QB Jordan Crisp scored on a 2 yard TD run, went 12-18 passing for 208 yards and 2 TD passes each to Demaje Riley and Brayden Stevenson.
The T Wolves beat Clovis North 38-21 to win the TRAC Championship. Senior QB Ty Miller scored on 2 rushing TDs, went 19-21 passing for 187 yards and threw a TD pass to DJ Booker jr. Taemell Horton rushed for 195 yards, scored a TD and Oshea Webb with a pick-6.
PAGMETER X FACTOR Can the Tribe defense stay with the uptempo T Wolves offense? The Tribe is really one year away from being VERY good. This game will be a learning experience for the Tribe/Redskins for next year.

PAGMETER X FACTOR It is very rare in the Central Section that two future D1 College QBs will battle each other with Rose vs Gomez. Will the Cougars defense try to go man-man cover zero against the Bullpups speedy receivers? If so, game over and the Bullpups will be playing Clovis East. Clovis went man-man cover zero against Central and the game was over at the coin-flip. This game comes down to the Cougars game plan. This is the biggest match of the first round up and it should be a BIG crowd with the Cougars coming to town.

The Warriors beat South 24-21. Andrew Aguirre rushed for 110 yards and scored 3 TDs including the game winner in the 4th quarter. Carter Kolesar nailed a 39 yard Field Goal.
The Wildcats beat Sanger West 60-31. The Wildcats did what they do best and that is running a no huddle offense and throwing deep with less than 2 minutes to go for stats and up by 30.
PAGMETER X FACTOR The Winner will play the Tulare Western Mustangs at Tulare next Friday. The overachieving Warriors got a bad seed again this year after winning the SY Mountain league. Righetti High is based in D2 and got to move into D3 with a bye and before a team like the Warriors who are based in D3. Plenty of D2 teams moved into D3 but not the Warriors. The Wildcats lied about playing a player in the JV game and varsity game on the same night, had to forfeit four games and still got rewarded with a home game. Why does the CIF hate Tehachapi so much?
Can the Warriors slow down WR CJ Jones? The Wildcats game plan, Tanner Wilson getting loose in the pocket and throwing up to Jones.

The Tigers shutout Atascadero 35-0. The Tigers are the Sunset Champions and the defense gave up 16 points in 5 league games. Jace Gomes rushed for 151 yards and scored 2 TDs.
PAGMETER X FACTOR the winner plays at CVC next Friday night. The Scots will need a big night on defense to have a fun bus ride home. If the Tigers can put pressure on Mendez and make him uncomfortable, the Tigers have a great shot to win.

PAGMETER X FACTOR Both teams are playing their best football. The Stars have a zero passing game so that means the Eagles must force the Stars in 3rd and long a bunch of times or the Eagles might not see the ball much on offense. This game could come down to the final minutes. Which defense will step up? Eagles head coach Don Crow comes back to Bakersfield where he played on the great Hall of Fame 1977 West Vikings team which was one of the best teams in valley history.
The winner will play at Shafter in the quarterfinals.

Da’zir Newhouse caught 6 passes for 137 yards and a TD, Demetruis Simon caught 5 footballs for 142 yards and 3 TDs, Julen Scott caught 5 passes for 127 yards and 2 TDs. Jerin Scott caught a 37 yard TD pass. Dimareea Banks rushed for 93 yards.
PAGMETER X FACTOR Last year the Highlanders lost in the first round on a HORRIBLE call to Golden Valley and the Highlanders have thought about that a lot. The Highlanders need to get off to a fast start and play ahead. Can the Tigers defense match up with the speedy Highlanders? Tigers top RB junior Hammie Lopez who has rushed for 1,647 yards and has scored 18 TDs got ejected in the Shafter game and can’t play this week. That’s a huge blow to the Tigers offense.

PAGMETER X FACTOR This is a rematch from week 5 and the Toads beat The Panthers 37-24. Toads RB Julius Borjas rushed for 156 yards, scored 3 TDs and the Panthers rushed for 48 yards as a team. The Panthers have played a much tougher schedule. Dos Palos played the Toads tough so I’m thinking the Panthers will watch that game film a lot and try to do what the Broncos did.

The Monarchs beat Immanuel 35-28 to win the Tri-County Sequoia league Championship. Senior QB Jacob Molina rushed for 81 yards, scored 2 TDs, went 11-15 passing for 149 yards and threw a TD pass to Owen Robertson. Niqo Calderon and Wyatt Stockton each scored on rushing TDs. Joseph Ruiz made 12 tackles and Tyler Cree with 10 tackles.
