The Cougars lost to Clovis East 52-33. Junior Maddox Merrill rushed for 154 yards and scored on 2 & 61 yard runs. Deagan Rose scored on 25 and 2 yard TD runs and went 18-31 passing for 246 yards and threw a 38 yard TD pass to Carlos Young.
PAGMETER X FACTOR This will be a good game and the Pagmeter has to take the future D1 QB in a close game. The Grizzlies need a big night on defense and must pound the ball with Smith. Which defense will make the big plays?
The winner should get the No 3 seed and the loser could get the No 5 seed and could play the No 4 seed Hanford Bullpups in Hanford in the first round of the D1AA playoffs.

Side note; What the heck is going on at Garza and the leadership? For starters, we all know the football team has some issues with the fight but other things are going on at Garza. The AD is on administrative leave which really means he will not be back. Also the Guardians don’t have a trainer at practice and that is not good. The baseball team now has issues because a parent got their feelings hurt over fundraising and now has fired Head baseball Coach Chad Rothford. Chad did nothing wrong on fundraising. A parent got his feelings hurt because little Johnny didn’t raise a penny.
It’s apparent that the Garza administration is very weak for a big athletic school like Garza.
They named the school after a Stud Justin Garza and boy would JG be embarrassed looking down on what is going on. Stay tuned for more coming….

The Knights beat Garza 44-13. The Knights dominated for the coin flip. Junior QB Tyler Franklin scored a TD and went 18-21 passing for 232 yards and threw a 21 yard TD pass to Donald Turner. Devon Laney rushed for 78 yards and scored 2 TDs.
The Panthers beat Madera 25-23. David Bell rushed for 78 yards and scored on a 17 yard TD run. Freshman QB Colton Johnson went 12-17 for 246 yards passing and 3 TDs. John Paul Hernanndez caught 2 TD passes and John Mahony caught an 80 yard TD pass.
