The defense made some big stops but the offense made way too many mistakes at the wrong time and if you want to beat a great Broncos team, you can’t miss opportunities. PAGMETER X FACTOR This is a huge game and a tremendous match up of two hot teams. Can the G Hawks slow down Brison Abbott? Can the Hawks stay with athletes & speed of the Drillers? The Drillers defense is very good and this will be a great test for the G Hawks and how good they are. The Drillers will strike fast so the G Hawks need to have long drives and shorten the game and keep Abbott on the sidelines.

The Tigers will never be the same again and that is thanks to the former administration who never supported the football program so it’s time to change the non-league Tigers schedule.

PAGMETER X FACTOR The Cardinals have played a killer schedule for games like this. Last year the Cardinals (division 6 based team) went 10-2 and got penalized and had to move into D5. Last year Strathmore played a tough schedule, struggled a bit and got hot at the end of the year and stayed in D6 and won it all. This year if the Cardinals get hot the rest of the way, the Red Birds will be a contender to win it all in D6 and the first step is a win on Friday night.

El D fired their former coach Chris Franklin who did a tremendous job and had it going on and since then the Miners are 2-24. The Miners need to dummy down their non league schedule and soon the Miners are on their way to D4-D5 and the Miners should never be D4-D5 with such a beautiful big school.
The defending EYL Champion Pioneers are young, especially upfront. The Pioneers need a win to qualify for the postseason tournament.

Once Sophomore QB Peters figures out how to carry out his fakes and becomes the leader on offense, the Cavaliers will be tough by playoff time. Last year the Cavaliers jumped on the back of the best player in the Central Section Bryson Donelson for leadership and this year the Cavaliers are missing the leaders to take over the team.

Last year the G Bears had a tremendous Coaching staff, were the talk of the Central Section, and started the year 6-0. This year it is a completely different team.
The outstanding Defensive Coordinator didn’t return this year and is coaching with a very good team up the highway. The DB coach didn’t return this year either. The assistant Head Coach who teaches on campus, was escorted off campus not so long ago by Hanford police for engaging in relationship with a minor. WTF. After the assistant HC was escorted off campus, SP brought in a new OC. He was outstanding back with Kingsburg 10 plus years ago, but he was way too good for SP and said bye bye. long time SP Coach also just left this week so what the heck is going on?
There are other things that are going on with the staff and it’s almost like a 30 for 30 special. It’s a complete disaster and all of this in less than a year.
You have to feel for the players, because there are some tremendous kids at Sierra Pacific.
Can HC Ryan DeSantos recover from all this? Not looking good.
Just when you think Sunnyside is the biggest shit show in the Central Section, Sierra Pacific says, “Hold my soda!!”
Senior TE David Hilyard who transferred to Kingsburg, sat out the normal 30 days and is still not eligible because Sierra Pacific won’t sign off on it. Who can blame any kid/family for staying around that complete mess with the entire Coach staff! This is David’s senior year and the CIF needs to do the right thing. Make it happen now!
I always believe that the kids come first, and so to Sierra Pacific….SHAME ON YOU!! MAKE IT RIGHT AND RELEASE DAVID HILYARD!

The Broncos beat Central 26-21. The score looked close but it wasn’t, the Broncos were in control the entire game. The biggest play of the game came at the end of the half when MaKay Madsen returned a 93 yard Pick-6 and the Grizzlies never recovered. Jackson Cinfel rushed for 169 yards and scored 2 TDs.
PAGMETER X FACTOR This is a great match up. Can the Broncos slow down red hot junior QB Rose? Can the Cougars defense slow down the physical running attack of the Broncos? The Broncos would be 5-0 in non league if they played the Cougars schedule and Clovis would be 4-2 if they played the Broncos schedule.
The Broncos are more battle tested in this one. The Cougars offense has to hold serve and score because they might not see the ball much if the Broncos offense is grinding out long drives.
