Can the Grizzlies slow down the Cardinals high power running attack? Cardinals RB Andrew Camarillo has rushed for 1,242 yards and has scored 19 TDs. The Cardinals defense is very good and leading the way is sophomore free safety Jason De La Cruz who leads the state with 7 interceptions.

The Tigers have lost two straight close games and the Generals have been steam rolling teams. The Generals beat McFarland 49-0. QB EZ Osborne went 9-15 passing for 170 yards and 4 TD passes including 2 TDs to Mariyon Sloan before the Generals shut it down. Chris Espinoza rushed for 88 yards on 6 carries, Cash Gutierrez rushed for 76 yards and scored a TD. JJ Vasquez scored on a 36 yard TD run.
For the Tigers to hang, they must have a big offensive night because the Generals offense is a machine.

The Grizzlies went for the win by going for the 2-points and came up short in the loss to Clovis 38-37. The Grizzlies didn’t play good Grizzlies football on both sides of the ball and still almost pulled it off. The Grizzlies are very inconsistent.
The Bears Lost to Clovis West 33-7. The Bears offense is a physical running attack with a physical O-line and if the Bears can’t run the ball…game over.
Can the Grizzlies slow down the Bears running attack like Clovis West did? Can the Bears defense slow down the steaky Grizzlies offense?

Which offense can get back on track this week? The Emperors are very close at being in D3 with this silly playoff format. A loss is not a bad thing in the big picture for Dinuba.
Both teams will want to run the ball and leading the way for the Emperors will be senior RB Diego Tuttle and the Mustangs will lead with junior running back Mikey Johnson.

The Knights beat Madera 7-6. Dom Gonzalez scored the game winning TD with 9 minutes to go, Preston Clarke kicked the extra point and the Knights defense did the rest.
Garza got run over in Sanger 41-14.
The Knights were favored by 21 points over Madera but when old Head Coach Don Arax was let go, I’m sure it was very tough on the players and the players made old coach proud,
This week the Knights should roll because they are much more physical than the Guardians. The Guardians defense has been struggling. If the Knights line up and pound it with Dom Gonzalez, game over.

Don’t get excited because the Broncos will roll at home. The Broncos pretty much won the HDL last Friday beating a very good Boron team 18-13. Richie Talavera caught a 1-yard TD pass from Boden St Marie which turned out to be the game winner. Austin Powell rushed for 165 yards and scored 2 TDs.

The big X factor is which defense can make the big stops. Can the Tribe slow down Redcats QB Bubba Smith and can the Redcats slow down the hot Tribe offense.
If it all plays out, this could be a preview of the Division 6 Championship.

The Pack schedule is way too tough for them.

The Bears struggling defense has to take on the Central Section top scoring offense.
The Cavaliers offense which is led by a very good O-line, senior RB Bryson Donelson (1,292 yards rushing, 21 TDs), senior QB Brent Kroeze (1,068 yards passing, 14 TD passes) and junior WR Gunnar Piepegrass (22 catches, 361 yards, 3 TDs) will be way too much for the Bears. The Bears are a big and physical team, playing a killer schedule and slowly getting better. Watch out for the Bears in 2024.

The Lions are playing a very tough schedule and now they travel to Kingsburg to face a very good defense.
The Lions lost to CVC 52-14 and the Vikings beat Washington Union 13-6. The Vikings defense controlled the line of scrimmage. Max Warkentin threw a TD pass to Wyatt Boyd and Dennon Gagnon scored a TD.
The Vikings are looking at a high D2 seed and the Lions will be battle tested for the D3 playoffs.

The Golden Bears beat Selma 16-13. Jacob Cunha nailed a 50-yard field goal in the 4th quarter and the Golden Bears are 6-0 for the first time in school history.
The Eagles beat neighborhood rival Reedley 47-28. Seth Hutchison rushed for 114 yards and scored 2 TDs. If the Eagles can stay in D6, they will be tough to beat.
The G Bears offense needs to get back on track. The Eagles are a much bigger team so the G Bears front seven better be ready to strap it up. Can G Bears QB Landon McKee have a big game? The T Wolves come in still thinking about the loss to Clovis North 31-21. Ty Miller threw 3 TD passes to Harold Duvall but the T Wolves with some costly turnovers in the 2nd half cost them.
The Golden Eagles beat Buchanan 33-7. The Golden Eagles beat the Bears on both sides of the ball. The CW defense slowed the Bears running game down and the passing game was really shut down to 45 yards and 2 INTs. QB Tyler Patrick threw for 355 yards and 4 TDs. Possibly the best receiver in the Central Section Landon Wright caught 3 TD passes and Dom Decanio caught a TD.
The Pagmeter has a Twitter spaces post game show after every Friday Night lights games and this week the chat was about TP not being a good QB. 355 yards passing and 4 TDs later, I wonder if somebody will bring it up on this week’s show?
This week is a very interesting match up. Both offenses are very explosive. Both secondaries are fast.
Can the Wolves forget about the loss to Clovis North? It’s not that easy when you prepare for a team for 2 weeks and you lose.
A big blow for Clovis West this game and unless CW appeals the decision and wins, Marshel Sanders is out this week because he got kicked out of the Buchanan game right around halftime. The Golden Eagles will need everybody else to step up and that means Wright will get much more attention from the T Wolves secondary. A star is born with Clovis West WR Decanio and he will need a big game along with Jordan Pierro and Jonavon Darrington to pull off a win.

The Broncos beat Clovis East 31-21. The Broncos didn’t play their best game and still wore down the T Wolves in the 2nd half. Vincent Cordoba scored 2 TD’s including a 59-yard TD pass from Mario Cosma. Andrew Chavez scored on 2 rushing TDs (2 and 3 yards)
The Cougars with a big overtime win at Central 38-37. The Grizzlies went for the win and the 2-points but came up short when Jaydon Mendiola swatted the ball away on the pass attempt. QB Deagan Rose threw for 230 yards with a TD pass and scored 3 TDs.
What’s crazy is sophomore QB Rose is improving big time every game he plays in and watch out for the Cougars the next 2 ½ years.
The big X factor and it’s alway the same, can the Cougars slow down the Broncos running machine? Will the Broncos come in with a T Wolves hangover? When you play in the TRAC, you can’t afford to slack off because there is a good team coming in every week.

The Bucs are now facing the other strong defensive team in the WSL.

This is a great westside rivalry and the schools are 16 miles away from each other on highway 33. The Aztecs are another team that the Pagmeter can’t figure out sometimes with the prediction. Aztecs HC Beto Mejia loves when the Pagmeter picks against his Aztecs so he will love the pick this week.

The Tribe lost to Lemoore 32-21. Sophomore QB Jordan Crisp threw 3 TD passes,Brayden Stevenson caught 9 footballs for 131 yards and 2 TDs and Damaje Riley caught a TD pass.
This game comes down to the defensive side of the ball and Hanford has the edge.

The Scots lost a tough one to Independence 21-20. QB Izaiah Ott hit Johnny Brucker on a 34-yard TD pass to pull the Scots within 21-20 with 39.5 seconds to play.
