Congratulations to Allen Perryman for getting his first win as the Hanford West Huskies Head Coach

PAGMETER WEEK 3 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

JUNIOR QB ADAM COPUS, CENTENNIAL GOLDEN HAWKS
Copus is off to a great varsity start for the Golden Hawks. In the win over Ridgeview, he went 17-23 for 276-yards, 6 TDs and scored a TD.

SHAME ON YOU AWARD OF THE WEEK GOES TO THE GOLDEN WEST FRESHMEN
The Reedley Pirates vs Golden West Trailblazers FRESHMEN game was canceled this week because Golden West freshmen didn’t practice. GW decided to take the week off because it was hot. Reedley sucked it up and practiced at 6am to get ready and Golden West slept in. Shame on Golden West! Reedley worked their ass off, got up early to play the great game of football and Golden West decided to eat Cap’n Crunch in their pajamas.

In week 3 The PAGMETER went 46-8 and for the year 151-22 (85%)

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FINAL SCORES

CORCORAN PANTHERS (2-1) vs SIERRA PACIFIC GOLDEN BEARS (2-2)
Battle of 43 Highway
PAGMETER LINE PANTHERS -7
The Panthers ran into a buzz saw and lost to Hanford West 12-10. The G Bears lost to Woodlake 45-30.
The PAG Factor, it’s the Panthers defense vs the G Bears offense. AND THE PANTHERS DEFENSE WON
PAGMETER PREDICTION PANTHERS 27 GOLDEN BEARS 20

FINAL PANTHERS 20 GOLDEN BEARS 3

GOLDEN VALLEY BULLDOGS (2-2) at DELANO TIGERS (3-1)
PAGMETER LINE TIGERS-3
This has the makings to be a great game. The Bulldogs are playing their best football after beating South 28-14. TyJon Jones rushed for 183 yards and scored 2 TDs on 16 carries.
The Tigers lost to North 41-17. Roberto Garcia rushed for 181-yards.
The PAG Factor, for the Tigers to win at home, the defense needs to step up.
PAGMETER PREDICTION TIGERS 20 BULLDOGS 17

FINAL TIGERS 22 BULLDOGS 15

KINGSBURG VIKINGS (4-0) at GOLDEN WEST TRAILBLAZERS (1-3)
PAGMETER LINE VIKINGS -35
The Vikings come in beating Dinuba 21-14 in a very good game. QB Ethan Winslow hit Caleb Irigoyen on a 10-yard TD pass and the game winner. Winslow also threw a 10-yard TD pass to Trace Jackson. Jackson rushed for 103-yards and scored on a 2-yard TD run.
The Blazers lost to Hanford 58-0.
The PAG Factor, the Blazers are playing a very tough schedule and won’t have enough offense to stay with the Vikings. If the varsity took the week off like the GW freshman team did this will get very ugly.
PAGMETER PREDICTION VIKINGS 35 BLAZERS 0

FINAL VIKINGS 41 BLAZERS 10

CENTENNIAL GOLDEN HAWKS (4-0) at RIDGEVIEW WOLF PACK (1-3)
PAGMETER LINE GOLDEN HAWKS -35
The Golden Hawks are red hot on both sides of the ball. The G Hawks come in beating Independence 60-14. Junior QB Adam Copus went 17-23 for 276-yards, 6 TDs and scored a TD. Junior WR Jaxton Santiago caught 9 passes for 197-yards and scored 4 TDs.
The Wolf Pack beat Stockdale 25-15. Zamir Hall rushed for 224 yards and scored 3 TDs.
The PAG Factor, can the Pack offense score enough to stay with the G Hawks? The Pack defense has their hands full.
PAGMETER PREDICTION GOLDEN HAWKS 45 WOLF PACK 7

FINAL GOLDEN HAWKS 47 WOLF PACK 7 (ALMOST NAILED THE SCORE)

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS FINAL SCORES

LEAGUE STARTS WITH THE NORTHWEST SEQUOIA
CARUTHERS BLUE RAIDERS (3-1) (1-0) at RIVERDALE COWBOYS (3-1) (0-1)

PAGMETER LINE BLUE RAIDERS -7
The Blue Crew come in with a win over Firebaugh 43-7. The Cowboys get a nice win over Avenal 20-12.
The PAG Factor, this is a great matchup to start the league. Both defenses are very good. Can the Cowboys pound the football and control the clock?
PAGMETER PREDICTION BLUE RAIDERS 26 COWBOYS 20

FINAL CARUTHERS 57 COWBOYS 14

CHOWCHILLA TRIBE (2-1)(1-0) at PARLIER PANTHERS (0-4) (0-1)
PAGMETER LINE TRIBE -30
The Tribe come in off a bye and the Panthers lost to Orange Cove 37-7.
The PAG Factor, the Tribe right now are one of the most improved teams in the Central Section and the Panthers are a work in progress.
PAGMETER PREDICTION TRIBE 39 PANTHERS 7

FINAL TRIBE 42 PANTHERS 6

MINARETS MUSTANGS (0-3) (0-1) at FOWLER REDCATS (3-1) (1-0)
PAGMETER LINE REDCATS -28 (GAME WAS MOVED TO FOWLER BECAUSE OF AIR QUALITY)
The Redcats are playing good football and looking to be 4-1 heading into the Madera Ranchos game. The Cats beat Immanuel 25-7.
The Mustangs come in off a bye.
The PAG Factor, can the Mustangs slow down the Redcats running attack?
PAGMETER PREDICTION REDCATS 41 MUSTANGS 13

FINAL REDCATS 43 MUSTANGS 7

LIBERTY MADERA HAWKS (4-0) (1-0) at YOSEMITE BADGERS (0-4)(0-1)
PAGMETER LINE HAWKS RUNNING CLOCK
The Hawks come in beating Dos Palos 28-14. The Italian Stallion Vince Oberti rushed for 182-yards and scored 3 TDs.
The Badgers lost in the Mountain Bowl 40-29.
The PAG Factor, the Badgers are beat up and this is not a good matchup vs a red hot football team. The Badgers right now have way too many team issues and not a good time to play the Hawks. This will get ugly.
PAGMETER PREDICTION RUNNING CLOCK HAWKS 56 BADGERS 0

FINAL HAWKS 43 BADGERS 0 (GAME CALLED AT HALFTIME. BADGERS ONLY HAVE 11 PLAYERS)

NON-LEAGUE
BAKERSFIELD DRILLERS (1-2) at STOCKDALE MUSTANGS (0-4)

PAGMETER LINE DRILLERS -35
This was a great time for a Drillers bye and the Mustangs lost to Ridgeview 25-15.
The PAG Factor, look for Tybo Rogers and the Drillers to get their first win. The Mustangs offense is struggling especially after their QB transferred to Garces during the summer. When your QB leaves it messes up the plans.
PAGMETER PREDICTION DRILLERS 45 MUSTANGS 7

FINAL DRILLERS 51 MUSTANGS 0

EAST BLADES (0-4) at KENNEDY THUNDERBIRDS (2-2)
PAGMETER LINE THUNDERBIRDS -28
The Blades lost to Golden Valley 28-14. The Blades with 5 turnovers.
The Birds lost to Highland 25-21 and had a chance to win the game late but came up short. QB Julian Orozco threw for 188-yards and 2 TD passes.
The PAG Factor, the Blades will play very tough but the Birds at home have the big edge.
PAGMETER PREDICTION THUNDERBIRDS 42 BLADES 14

FINAL THUNDERBIRDS 44 BLADES 18

CVC CAVALIERS (4-0) vs CLOVIS NORTH BRONCOS (2-2)
PAGMETER LINE CAVALIERS -6
This is going to be a tremendous match up and this is the first time that CVC has ever played a TRAC team.
The Cavaliers come in beating Bakersfield Christian 34-14. The Caves jumped out 27-0 and never looked back.
Senior QB Max Bakker threw 2 TD passes. RB Caleb Callison scored 2 TDs and made 9 tackles. RB/LB Italian Stallion Blake Gambini, scored a TD and picked off a pass. TE/DE Jaeden Moore, caught 3 passes, scored a TD and took half the field away when BC ran away from him. TE/DE Zach Zwart, caught 4 passes along with a beautiful TD catch and played tremendous on defense.
The Broncos steam-rolled El Diamante 48-0. Mckay Madsen scored 2 TDs, Andrew Chavez, Jonathan Harvey, Jackson Sinfield each scored TDs. The Broncos played their best game and the defensive line was a wall and leading the charge was senior Rylee Hamm who was unblockable. The Broncos are getting healthy with sophomore RB McKay Madsen back from a shoulder injury and hope to get junior TE Brayden Bitter back.
The PAG Factor, get ready for the private school of Central Valley Christian to become a continued powerhouse especially with public schools being a complete mess. VUSD shut sports down a couple of years ago because they got caught up in the fraud of the overrated flu and made the horrible decision to not play sports and plenty of families said we are leaving. The Private schools get it because they listen to their customers and the customers are the great families. Once public schools/teacher unions want to get back to the kid business, public schools can make a comeback. Stay tuned if that will ever happen.
The Cavaliers student body is 372 and this is the greatest team in school history.
For the Broncos to win they must be able to pound the ball. The Broncos couldn’t run the ball against the other private school Memorial and it got ugly in a hurry. The Broncos are much better now than when they played Memorial in week 1. Except for the secondary, the Caves front seven on defense is just as good as Memorial. Can the Broncos defense slow down Max Bakker and company? This is a big game for the Cavaliers to let the state know they have officially arrived and can play with the big boys
PAGMETER PREDICTION CAVALIERS 35 BRONCOS 28

FINAL CAVALIERS 23 BRONCOS 9

CLOVIS WEST GOLDEN EAGLES (4-0) vs BULLARD KNIGHTS (1-3)
PAGMETER LINE GOLDEN EAGLES -8
The Golden Eagles come in beating Lemoore 40-14. The Golden Eagles left a lot of meat on the bone and still scored 40 points. Senior QB Ryan Markarian went 21-for-38 for 403-yards and 3 TDs. Marshel Sanders caught 7 balls for 242-yards, and 3 TDs.
The Knights lost to Frontier 24-20. Sophomores Blake Mathieu, Devin Laney and Dom Gonzalez each scored the Knights TDs. The Knights had a 9 point lead in the 4th quarter but couldn’t hold it. The Knights ran out of gas with little depth in the 4th quarter.
The PAG Factor, the season starts this week for the Golden Eagles. The 3 teams that CW has played so far were not good, especially on defense. Sorry to say that but it’s 100% true. The young Knights defense will be a great test for the CW offense. The huge X factor, can the Knights defense slow down the 3 best receivers in the Central Section of Sanders, Landon Wright and JoJo Pierro? The CW quarterback thing is so baffling. The Golden Eagles started Markarian who missed plenty of throws and still threw for 400-yards. That’s how good the CW receivers are. The CW receivers lead the state with yards after catch. Lemoore’s defense had no pass rush or pass coverage and CW easily could have scored 80 points. All Star QB Tyler Patrick, who might just be a better QB than baseball player (verbally committed to play baseball at Fresno state) is one of the top QBs in the Central Section and is being recruited at the next level to be a QB but is being benched. Is he hurt? Did he miss practice? Why is a top 10 Central Section QB not starting? This is one of the most baffling things that I have ever seen in 22 years of doing the Pagmeter. Eric Brown is the head coach and he will do what’s best for his team but it’s still baffling.
Markarian is a pocket passer who is coming off ACL surgery and the Knights will try to put pressure from the outside with Kyle Hughes and Elijah Eason who are so good. Somehow the Knights will try to cover the stud CW receivers.
Knights sophomore QB Josh Madrigal is getting better and better and will need a big game for the Knights offense. Outstanding sophomore RB Nick Stubblefield did not play last week from torn ligaments in his big Toe and will try to play this week. The Knights are battle tested with a young team but lack of depth that kills the Knights especially in the 4th quarter. The Knights ran out of gas in the Hanford blowout loss trying to cover the Pups receivers and now will try to cover the CW super receivers and it’s going to be 199 degrees. This will be the first big test for the Golden Eagles and this is why the season starts this week for C Dub.
PAGMETER PREDICTION GOLDEN EAGLES 34 KNIGHTS 26

FINAL GOLDEN EAGLES 28 KNIGHTS 14

DINUBA EMPERORS (3-1) at SELMA BEARS (0-4)
PAGMETER LINE EMPERORS -28
The Emperors played their best game in the loss to Kingsburg 21-14. Dinuba played a physical game and learned a lot from it. CJ Hernandez hit Christain Lopez on a 53-yard TD pass and AJ Moraido scored on a 5-yard run.
The Bears lost to Coalinga 47-18. The Bears are a work in progress.
The PAG Factor, Dinuba played the Vikings tough because of the great rivalry and will need to come out again the same way and take care of business. The Emperors could have a let down.
PAGMETER PREDICTION EMPERORS 46 BEARS 13

DINUBA 36 SELMA 7

EDISON TIGERS (3-0) vs EL DIAMANTE MINERS (0-4)
PAGMETER LINE TIGERS -35
The Tigers come in beating up Hoover 54-0. QB Ya’J Vance threw 3 TD passes before the Tigers shut it down.
The Miners lost to Clovis North 48-0.
The PAG Factor, the Tigers are one week away from taking on Clovis West. The Miners new offense is a work in progress and this is not a good matchup vs Edison.
PAGMETER PREDICTION TIGERS 51 MINERS 13

FINAL TIGERS 34 MINERS 2

GRANITE HILLS GRIZZLIES (1-2) at EXETER MONARCHS (3-1)
PAGMETER LINE MONARCHS -28
The Grizzlies come in losing to McFarland 19-14. The Grizzlies got down 19-0. The Grizzlies with 3 big turnovers. Diego Garay returned a kick for an 83-yard TD. Daniel Ramirez scored a 2-yard run.
The Monarchs beat Lindsay 39-0. The Monarchs defense is very good. Matt Howell rushed for 107-yards and scored a TD.
The PAG Factor, the Monarchs defense will be the difference.
PAGMETER PREDICTION MONARCHS 36 GRIZZLIES 7

FINAL MONARCHS 63 GRIZZLIES 0

FARMERSVILLE AZTECS (1-1) at AVENAL BUCCANEERS (3-1)
PAGMETER LINE BUCCANEERS -26
The Aztecs come off a 2 week bye. The Aztecs were scheduled to play the Desert Scorpions but Desert canceled the season from lack of players.
The Bucs lost to Riverdale 20-12.
The PAG Factor, can the Aztecs hang with the Bucs running attack?
PAGMETER PREDICTION BUCCANEERS 37 AZTECS 10

FINAL BUCCANNERS 42 AZTECS 0

CAL CITY RAVENS (0-3) at FOOTHILL TROJANS (1-3)
PAGMETER LINE TROJANS -19
The PAG Factor, both offenses are struggling and the home team has the big edge.
PAGMETER PREDICTION TROJANS 33 RAVENS 13

FINAL TROJANS 36 RAVENS 13

FRONTIER TITANS (3-1) at HANFORD BULLPUPS (4-0)
PAGMETER LINE BULLPUPS -15
The Titans come in beating Bullard 24-20. The Titans trailed by 9 in the 4th quarter. Junior QB Malakhi Statler went 24-33 for 254 yards and a TD pass. Mason Tapia rushed for 68-yards, caught 6 passes for 127-yards and a TD. Samuel Marquez rushed for 79 yards and scored a TD. Brycen Tablit scored a TD.
The Bullpups beat Golden West 58-0. Kourdey Glass rushed for 116-yards scored 3 TDs, Albert Richardson rushed for 116-yards scored a TD and Daniel Gomez scored a TD. Cayden Muir went 13-19 for 217-yards and 3 TD passes before leaving with a right shoulder injury. Cayden got hurt on a long run, stiff arm along the way and got tackled and landed hard on his right arm. It is a low grade AC joint sprain. The good news for Bullpup nation, Cayden should be back for the Homecoming game on September 30.
The PAG Factor, the Bullpups will have sophomore 6’1 QB in the bullpen with Daniel Gomez who would be starting on most other teams. Look for the Bullpups to use more of the outstanding running game. The Titans defense is good and the Titans offense needs a big night to stay in this one.
PAGMETER PREDICTION BULLPUPS 36 TITANS 21

FINAL BULLPUPS 49 TITANS 47

HANFORD WEST HUSKIES (2-2) vs HOOVER PATRIOTS (0-3)
PAGMETER LINE HUSKIES -6
The Huskies come in beating Corcoran 12-10. Congratulations to Allen Perryman for getting his first win as the Hanford West Huskies Head Coach. The Huskies defense played outstanding.
The Patriots lost to Edison 54-0. Head Coach Joe Pierro is hoping to get his first win as a Head Coach.
PAG Factor, which offense can finish drives with points?
PAGMETER PREDICTION HUSKIES 20 PATRIOTS 13

FINAL HUSKIES 36 PATRIOTS 29

HIGHLAND SCOTS (2-2) at CHAVEZ TITANS (2-2)
PAGMETER LINE SCOTS -12
The Scots are playing good football again after losing to Tehachapi. 2 weeks ago. The Scots beat a good Kennedy team 25-21. The defense played a great 4th quarter holding the birds out of the endzone. Adrian Juarez rushed for 143-yards and scored 3 TD’s.
The Titans traveled to Moorpark in LA and lost to a very good Campo Verde team from Arizona 18-0.
The PAG Factor, the Titans offense needs a big night against a very good Scots defense.
PAGMETER PREDICTION SCOTS 32 TITANS 20

FINAL TITANS 40 SCOTS 21

SOUTH REBELS (0-4) at INDEPENDENCE FALCONS (2-1)
PAGMETER LINE FALCONS -5
The Rebels lost to Golden Valley 28-14 and the Falcons lost to Centennial 60-14.
The PAG Factor, both teams need a win. Which offense will step up and play better?
PAGMETER PREDICTION FALCONS 25 REBELS 20

FINAL FALCONS 44 REBELS 34

MCFARLAND COUGARS (2-2) at KERN VALLEY BRONCS (1-3)
PAGMETER LINE BRONCS -4
The Cougars come in with a big win over Granite Hills 19-14. The Cougars jumped out 19-0. Nobody works harder than HC Manny Munoz and the Cougars. Monico Urquizo rushed for 124 yards and scored on a big 25-yard TD in the 3rd quarter along with Gustavo Manzo scoring on a 38-yard TD in the 3rd quarter. QB Jorge Hernandez scored on a 1-yard TD run. DE Cesar Rivera blocked a big punt and Miguel Zepeda had an outstanding game on defense.
The Broncos lost to Arvin 45-0.
The PAG Factor, the Cougars are looking to win 3 straight games for the first time in a while. The Broncs offense is struggling and needs to cut out the mistakes. The Cougars need to get off to a great start and take care of business.
PAGMETER PREDICTION COUGARS 26 BRONCS 17 COUGARS 13

FINAL BRONCS 20 COUGARS 7

LEMOORE TIGERS (3-1) at SANGER APACHES (1-3)
PAGMETER LINE TIGERS -14
The Tigers come in losing to Clovis West 40-14. It was simply a bad matchup for the Tigers.
The Apaches lost to Clovis East 49-7. This was also not a good matchup for the Apaches playing the T Wolves.
The PAG Factor, I really thought the Apaches were a better team at this point especially on offense. The Tigers are a very good division 2 team and just not ready to play the division 1 teams. The Tigers will play at Chuck Shidan Field and look for Ty Chambers to have a much better game this week. Will the Apaches step up and show that they are division 2 contenders?
PAGMETER PREDICTION TIGERS 35 APACHES 21

FINAL TIGERS 42 APACHES 18

BUCHANAN BEARS (4-0) at LIBERTY PATRIOTS (3-1)
PAGMETER LINE PATRIOTS -3
This is the game of the night! No 1 vs No 2 for a possible home playoff game when they meet again.
The Bears come in beating Foothill from Palo Cedro 35-21. Jayden Mandal went 17-25 passes for 245-yards with 2 TD passes. Colton O’Toole caught 8 footballs for 115-yards and caught both TD passes. The defense stepped up and made some big stops. LB Kannon Campbell was everywhere making 20 tackles.
The Patriots come in off a bye after beating Ridgeview 35.0 Jalen Hankins rushed for 121-yards & scored 2 TDs, and Kresean Kizzy returned 2 punts for TDs. Junior QB Cole O’Brien and junior Jace Nixon each threw TD passes.
The PAG Factor, this is the best of the best playing each other in a possible semi-final or Championship game preview.
The Buchanan Bears offense is so smooth with QB Mandal and WR O’Toole. Outstanding RB Michael Runnels is supposed to be back this week from a bad shoulder. The Bears defense is playing great football with Campbell, Logan Studt and Augustus Remlinger.
The Patriots come in with one of the top offensive lines in the state and leading the way will be seniors Grant Buckey who will be playing at USC and Cade Gretlen. Running behind the big boys will be speedster Jalen Hankins and Kresean Kizzy. The Patriots defense is the best in the Central Section and one of the best in the state. The D-line is so good with Buckey leading the way. The LBs are so good with Drew Underwood, Beckam Nilsson, Jackson Provensal and Hankins. The Secondary is special with Kizzy and Christian Edwards. The Patriots have a huge weapon with the top kicker of Grant Meadors.
The huge Patriots X factor is the QBs with juniors Jace Nixon and Cole O’Brien who are both rotating and we all know there has never been a Championship team that has won it all when a team rotates QB. Could the Patriots be different? For the Patriots to repeat they need to play great defense and pound the ball so the QB play is nothing like last year when Carson Woods was the field general and did a beautiful job running show. This year’s Patriots QB is, do not be fancy and don’t turn the ball over. The Coaching staff is scared to make the decision of picking a starter especially when there’s a coach’s kid in the mix. Can the Patriots slow Mandal and O’Toole? They are making it look so easy.
As you can see this is a tough call and a great matchup of two of the best teams in the Central Section.
PAGMETER PREDICTION PATRIOTS 35 BEARS 28

FINAL BEARS 35 PATRIOTS 27 (GAME CALLED WITH 10:59 TO GO IN THE GAME)

MADERA SOUTH STALLIONS (1-2) at MADERA COYOTES (2-2)
14th annual Battle for the Saw
PAGMETER LINE STALLIONS -3
The Stallions come in off a bye. The Stallions have had 2 weeks to think about the Golden Valley of Merced loss. The Cougars will be the toughest team that the Stallions will play all year long.
The Coyotes lost to Kerman 21-14. The Coyotes played tough.
The PAG Factor, the Stallions are now the red headed step child of Madera. Torres is now the baby brother and the baby brother beat big brother already.
Last year the 13th annual Battle of the Saw game was supposed to be played at the new beautiful Matty J Stadium at Madera South but the big wigs in Madera said there is no way that the Coyotes will stoop so low and play in that tiny stadium so you guessed it, the game was played in the old stadium of Madera. It was a Stallions home game and they were treated like a bad guest.
With that being said, if the Stallions need any incentive to be fired up, just look back at last year.
The Coyotes are trying to find the right pieces to the puzzle. The only team that can beat the Stallions are the Stallions. It’s time for the Stallion senior leaders to step and make some history because the Stallions can beat anybody on the schedule.
PAGMETER PREDICTION STALLIONS 33 COYOTES 30

FINAL COYOTES 34 STALLIONS 30 (STALLIONS BLEW a 30-7 LEAD)

WEST VIKINGS (1-2) at MIRA MONTE LIONS (1-3)
PAGMETER LINE VIKINGS -7
The PAG Factor, the Lions come in with injuries and when will the Vikings step up? The Vikings senior leaders have not been senior leaders as of yet. If the Lions were not banged up, they would be a heavy favorite.
PAGMETER PREDICTION VIKINGS 23 LIONS 17

FINAL VIKINGS 34 LIONS 0

FINAL HAWKS 30 PIONEERS 6

FRESNO HIGH WARRIORS (0-3) at MORRO BAY PIRATES (2-2)
PAGMETER LINE PIRATES -7
The Warriors come in off a bye and the Pirates lost to Santa Ynez 59-19.
The PAG Factor, last year the Warriors beat the Pirates 20-13. After that game the Pirates started playing good football and finished winning the division 6 Championship.
The Pirates should be ready in the cool weather.
PAGMETER PREDICTION PIRATES 26 WARRIORS 19

FINAL PIRATES 28 WARRIORS 13

The PAG Factor, the Broncos are a very good 0-3 team and have played tough in the 3 games. Can they break out in tremendous weather?
PAGMETER PREDICTION BRONCOS 33 PANTHERS 13

FINAL PANTHERS 28 BRONCOS 27

REDWOOD RANGERS (2-2) vs TULARE WESTERN MUSTANGS (2-2)

The Mustangs beat Mt Whitney 35-27. QB Carmine Ficher went 21- 29 passes for 336 yards and 4 TD passes. Carson Lopes caught 6 footballs for 180-yards and a TD.

The Pirates had a bye.
The PAG Factor, this game is being played at Orange Cove because Reedley is fixing up their stadium. The Toads are stepping up and playing the physical Pirates team. For the Toads to win the offense has to be on. Can the Toads slow down the power running of seniors Logan Moreno and Zach Lampa? If the Toads can play physical defense then they can win.
PAGMETER PREDICTION PIRATES 30 TOADS 28

FINAL PIRATES 42 TOADS 14

ROOSEVELT ROUGH RIDERS (0-3) at MENDOTA AZTECS (2-2)
PAGMETER LINE AZTECS -7
The Riders lost on Thursday to Mission Oak 28-13 and played tough in the loss.
The Aztecs got a big win over Strathmore 7-6. Jesse Rodriguez scored the game winning TD.
The PAG Factor, Aztecs senior QB Juan Ceja didn’t play against Strathmore and will be out again this week so it looks like the Aztecs will run the Wildcat offense again this week.
The Riders offense is a work in progress and will get better with every game they play. The Riders offense has the edge in this one. Hopefully soon the Riders can send in some stats.
PAGMETER PREDICTION AZTECS 27 ROUGH RIDERS 20

FINAL AZTECS 31 AZTECS 14

PAGMETER LINE WILDCATS -21
The Wildcats come off a bye and the Lions beat Madera 21-14. QB Ashton Chalabian threw 2 TD passes and each to Adam Delgado.
The PAG Factor, the Wildcats have had 2 weeks to think about the beat down to Kingsburg. The loss doesn’t hurt the young Wildcats because the Wildcats are really a division 3 team and not a division 2 team. If somehow they can slip into division 3, they will be dangerous. The Lions next 4 games are the beginning of the death march with the Wildcats, Clovis East, CVC and Kingsburg. This is the kind of team the Wildcats will put up tons of passing yards with QB Tanner Wilson and company. Both teams love to throw the ball.

The PAG Factor, the Cowboys still remember the 2019 beat down when the Cougars beat the Cowboys 40-16. The Cowboys are very good and the Cougars are playing with house money being the big underdog. Can the Cougars offense work the clock and keep the Cowboys offense on the sideline?

ST JOSEPH KNIGHTS (3-1) at NEWBURY PARK PANTHERS (4-0)
PAGMETER LINE PANTHERS -14
The Knights travel and take on a very good Panthers team. The Knights come off a bye and the Panthers poured in on Crespi 63-6. The Panthers are not making many friends kicking an onside kick when up big. The Panthers are good and Crespi is not. 6’4 freshman QB Brady Smigiel went 13-18 for 235-yards and 4 TDs. On the year he has thrown for 793-yards and 12 TDs.

MEMORIAL PANTHERS (3-1) at GARCES RAMS (1-3) HOLY BOWL
PAGMETER LINE PANTHERS -7 (SJM now Leads the Holy Bowl series 33-21-3)
The Panthers come in losing to Queen Creek from Arizona 10-7. Brandon Ramirez scored a 13-yard touchdown run with five minutes left to give the Panthers the lead 7-3. The Panthers went for the win and went for it on 4th and inches close to mid-field and came up short. The big problem with shotgun teams is going for it on short yardage. The QB is 4 yards back from the line of scrimmage. I’m thinking that will never happen again and you will see Wildcat with Brando/Panther speedster or under center on short yardage from now on.. Queen Creek took advantage of it and scored the game winner a short time later.
The Rams fell behind 28-0 early and never fully recovered in losing to Bishop Diego 35-14 in Santa Barbara. David Smith rushed for 113-yards. Sophomore RJ Green scored his first varsity TD. QB Jordan Gallegoz hit Cage Williams on a 29-yard TD pass.
The PAG Factor, the Rams are playing the toughest schedule by far in the Central Section and a very streaky team. The Rams look real good when it’s going good and horrible when it’s going bad.
Two weeks ago the Panthers got the biggest win in school history beating Central and on Saturday they lost to a hard-nosed Arizona team. Next week the Panthers take on Buchanan so will the Panthers be looking ahead to the Bears? They better not because the Rams are battle tested. If the Panthers had the Rams schedule, they would also be 1-2.
Will the Panthers stay the course with Carson Dean at QB? The Panthers have been known to panic over the years and change it up. Don’t be shocked if the Panthers change it up a little bit of the offense. Stay tuned.
The Rams have to slow the game down and work the clock with long drives to pull the upset. This is the Holy Bowl at Garces so anything is possible.
