The CIF & PAGMETER Rankings were off with Division 4. Exeter wins the Central Sequoia league and gets zero respect. In fact the Central Sequoia league teams got very little respect.

Leading the Tigers will be senior Elias Salinas and junior catcher Nick Sobolewski who is already the team captain.

No 1 Bakersfield Christian Eagles (22-9) (0-0 SOUTH YOSEMITE) DIVISION 4 SECTION CHAMPIONS
The Eagles are going to be very good, and it starts with pitching. Leading the way will be junior Manny Herrera and sophomore transfer from Garces Toby Twist. Leading the offense will be junior Evan Cloyd
No 2 Santa Maria Saints (18-10) (10-5 OCEAN)
The Saints are one of the best hitting teams in the section. Plenty return for the Saints including seniors P Luis Guerrero, Brayan Nunez and Joseph Ybarra. Senior Enrique Figueroa is ready for a big year pitching. Joseph Ybarra can swing the bat.
No 3 Morro Bay Pirates (22-)8 (14-1 OCEAN CHAMPIONS)
The Pirates return plenty and leading the way will be junior pitcher Jackson Howell. The Pirates will need to swing the bats playing a tough schedule
No 4 Taft Wildcats (18-6-1) (6-2-1 SOUTH SEQUOIA)
One of the best hitters in the south valley is junior Logun Clark who has been an elite hitter since his freshman year. Keep an eye on seniors Skyler Self, Chad Berry, juniors Jackson Berry and Andrew Sherrell because they can swing the bat. The Wildcats have plenty of team speed. Leading the pitching staff will be Chad Berry, sophomore Jayce Moore and freshman Carson Rodart
No 5 Lemoore Tigers (16-12) (7-8 WEST YOSEMITE)
The Tigers will be tough especially playing in division 4. The Tigers need to be in division 3 because they are always good. The pitching will be good with seniors (SS) Anfernee Murrieta, Reese Sartin and junior Champ Kaiser.
No 6 Golden West Trailblazers (11-19) (3-12 WEST YOSEMITE)
GW will be battle tested playing in the tough WYL.
No 7 Madera South Stallions (15-13) (4-11 CMAC)
The Stallions are young and ready for a division 4 run. The Stallions will be battle tested playing in the tough CMAC and against Bullard, Memorial, Sanger, Edison and Madera. Leading the Stallions will be juniors Brian Monges and Murf Gray who can really swing the bat and pitch. Gray has verbally committed to play at Fresno State. A star is born this year with sophomore Elijah Tang who has plenty of speed and an RBI machine. Keep an eye on Jasir Alvarez, Xavier Cantu, and Johnathan Spraggins. The Stallions have plenty of team speed and plays hard.
No 8 Liberty Madera Ranchos Hawks (14-15) (9-6 NORTH SEQUOIA)
The Hawks will be battle tested playing a very tough schedule.
This year’s Hawks are young but determined with only having two seniors on the roster. The Hawks are led my senior captain Quaid Copher. Quaid is arguably one of the best leadoff hitters in the section and will see major innings on the bump. Juniors Jakson Bucher and Max Vestal will handle key roles in the Hawk’s success this year. Sophomores Dylan Whiteman and Nathen Medina will contribute a key part with the offense and on the bump. Someone to keep an eye on is Freshman McGuire Smith who bats in the heart of the Hawk’s order and will make noise as a young buck
No 9 Dos Palos Broncos (11-5) (7-1 CO-WEST SIERRA CHAMPIONS)
Now, in his 4th season as head baseball coach, at his alma mater, Leonard Davis has put Bronco baseball back on the map. Davis has led the Broncos to consecutive playoff berths with at least one home playoff game. In his tenure, Leonard Davis has an overall record of 42-17 with a winning percentage of .712. A remarkably fast turnaround to say the least. This season, the Broncos started out the year on the road against the defending (Pre-COVID) 2019 CIF Sac-Joaquin D4 Section Champions who were later ranked by calhisports.com as the number 1 ranked baseball team in Division 3 with a 28-1 record. With a young roster, on the road, the Broncos found a way to win late 5-4 behind a solid pitching performance from (Jr.) Derek Von Allman, who had a no-hit bid going into the 5th. Next, they faced Los Banos, CA, Pacheco High School, where they won in walk off fashion behind star 3rd baseman Isac Mandujano, with his incredible top half of the 7th pitching performance striking out the side, which he then followed up by leading off the bottom of the 7th with a no doubt homerun. The Broncos starting 9 consist of 2 seniors, 1 junior, 4 sophomores, and 2 freshmen. The conversation around this ballclub has gone from, “are they too young?”, to now, “could this be the year?” The Broncos may be young overall, but this talented roster has a great mixture of upper-class leadership and youthful experience. As the spring season is starting, and football coming to a close, the Broncos are looking forward to the ’21 season with all the excitement and experiences this year will bring. Dos Palos should be in the mix for a few seasons. Players to keep an eye out for are: (Sr.) Makai Ruiz (SS), (Jr.) Derek Von Allman (P/OF), (So.) Isac Mandujano (3B/P), (So.) Aaron Jones (CF/P), (So.) Kanoa Ruiz (1B/P), (So.) Will Montemurro (C, (Fr.) Peyton Van Worth UT.
No 10 Exeter Monarchs (16-9) (9-3 CENTRAL SEQUOIA CHAMPIONS)
The Monarchs are very young and leading the way will be ace Dylan See
No 11 Kingsburg Vikings (14-11) (8-4 CENTRAL SEQUOIA)
The Vikings are very young and will be very good with tremendous talent. The Young Vikings group of players all played together when they won the Cal Ripken WS team from a few years back and leading the way are the Hirschkorn brothers Holden and Houston. The life of playing football and baseball at the time wasn’t so nice for sophomore QB Ethan Winslow who is now sidelined after suffering a broken collar bone on the final play of the first quarter in the Sanger game. Keep an eye on some Vikings slugger, with catcher Aiden Rocha, Preston Ingrao, Riley Beck and Brady Alves.
No 12 Monache Marauders (14-9) (8-4 EAST YOSEMITE)
The Marauders are young and will get after it. They will play hard for 7 innings.
No 13 Central Valley Christian Cavaliers (15-9) (7-4 CENTRAL SEQUOIA)
The Cavaliers can swing the bat and should have enough pitching depth to challenge for the division 4 section championship. Sr captain Carson Pimental is back after missing last year to knee surgery. Freshman and Stanford commit Brandt Munger gives the Cavaliers major pop. Brandt has the makings to be very special! Luke Giotta and Jace Vargas will get plenty of innings pitching.
No 14 Sierra Pacific Golden Bears (15-6) (12-0 EAST SEQUOIA CHAMPIONS)
The Golden Bears did not play football so the players can focus on baseball. SP should be a very good team by the end of the year.
No 15 Wasco Tigers (11-4) (8-2 SOUTH SEQUOIA)

No 16 Mission Oak Hawks (6-16) (4-7 EAST YOSEMITE)
Very young with plenty of sophomores and 4 freshman starting
No 17 Pioneer Valley Panthers (9-13) (8-7 OCEAN)
Once football is over the baseball team will be much better
No 18 East Blades (9-9) (8-5 SOUTHEAST YOSEMITE)
Plenty return and leading the way will be junior ace Ryan Perez and senior Angel Garcia can swing it.
No 19 Yosemite Badgers (3-12) (3-12 NORTH SEQUOIA)
The numbers are down especially with football going on. Senior pitcher Christian Naus is ready to have a big year.
No 20 Chavez Titans (3-9) (3-6 SOUTH SEQUOIA)
The Titans were young last year and almost everybody returns. Keep an eye on junior Sebastian Orozco who can swing the bat.
No 21 Orcutt Academy Spartans (1-19) (0-15 OCEAN)
Stay tuned on the Spartans.
No 22 Golden Valley Bulldogs (3-12) (3-9 SOUTH YOSEMITE)
The Bulldogs will have plenty returning that have varsity experience.
Wasco Tigers: Brandon Martin is no longer enrolled at WASCO High School.
Nick Sobolewski (Junior) 4-year varsity starting catcher is the Captain (Leader) for the Tiger Varsity Baseball.
