The Knights will be very good the next 2 years and leading the way will be junior QB Mark Crisp who is very tough to contain. The wide receivers will be very good with senior Tyler Williams safety/WR who has committed to UTEP, Darien Langley who committed to UC Davis. WR Travis Royal who transferred in from Arroyo Grande. OL is big and athletic. Defense is solid and leading the way will be Jayce Gamble who will be a beast 6’2” and 235 and flies all over the field at middle linebacker.

The Panthers will be big upfront and the offense could be much different with a downhill running team in 2020. Leading the way for the Panthers will be one of the best running backs in the state with Jordan Hornbeak who is getting plenty of offers including UCLA, Cal, Washington, Utah, Boise State, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon State, San Jose State and Jordan will play at Fresno State. Junior DB/WR TJ Hall is ready to have a huge year on both sides of the ball and will see some at QB. Junior QB Michael Bell will not be play football and will focus on baseball. Seniors Aric Eades and Mateo Granada will be a force on the D-line. Transferring to SJM from El Diamante will be WYL All Star LB Mitchell Leppke.

The Rams will be very good with most everybody returning. Senior RB/LB Jalen Smith, returns and he is good. Leading the way upfront will be DE Zach Buckley who already has 21 division 1 offers including plenty from Ivy league schools. Buckley carries a 4.5 GPA. Senior OL/DL DeAndre Beldo is also returning. Senior DB Dom D’Amato will lead the Rams defense along with RB/LB junior Logan Bowers. The Rams are getting plenty of transfers in including the dangerous senior WR/RB Zion Hall. Also junior QB Travis Plugge has transferred in from Frontier. The Rams are pretty much the south valley All Star team now with so many transferring in.

No 7 CENTENNIAL GOLDEN HAWKS (2-3)

The G Hawks are returning 17 of 22 starters, played 11 sophomores in division 1 last year and coach Starret’s first year out in Cali and had some growing pains but Coach feels really good about the direction of the program. The Golden Hawks finished the season last year with a 10 pt loss to liberty holding the Patriots to only 17 points, A last second loss to Stockdale ( literally 6 seconds left Hail Mary) only gave up 12 points. Lost by 7 to the Drillers (fumbled on the inch yard line diving in to score with 1:20 left) holding BHS to 10 points, and beat Frontier 13-0. You can see the Golden Hawks defense will be real good in 2020 again. Jacob Navarro – will be returning as a 3 year starter to lead the defense. Soph Eoghan Kerry- 6’3 230 lb LB & D-1 prospect with offers already. Aj Morgan, Justin Vecere, Garrett Austin class of 22 Defense standouts as sophomores. 4 of 5 offensive line starters returning, 3 class of 22 skill players return with Elijah Finney, Ty Fimple, and Tristan Flores. Depth and competition for starting spots will be a strength for the Golden Hawks in 2020. Keep an eye on the Golden Hawks young QB with Sophomore Levi Manning. A star will be born this year with Levi who has the makings to be real good!

Cannon Sanchez takes over and the Bullpups will be young with speed. Senior RB Luttrell Young, returns and he is a beast! Watch out for senior 6’3, 260 lb Mason Brosseau, who was the Co-WYL lineman of the year. He will come into 2020 as one of the best in the section on the D-line.

I was excited to watch this Miners team because they were going to be very good!! This team was going to be big and physical. The Miners were crushed with injuries last year and the season got away. The defense would have returned plenty on defense. Senior QB Justin Vink got hurt early last year and will be ready in 2020. Leading the way up front will be seniors, 6’4, 290, Caleb Walker, Eutimio Pena and Brett Costa.

The Rangers would have returned plenty of talent. The buzz on campus since Coach Sharton has come back home is booming with a big turnout for football. Dominick McCormack is now a 3-star 6’3″ 175 safety getting a look from UC Davis (could also play some QB. Keep an eye on these stars with LB Marcus Correia, RB Caden Shafer, SS Mitchel Wilson and WR/CB Reid Terry. Mr Newcomers: RB Karson Everett (over 3,000 yards total offense on the JV team. DE Jacob Gonzalez off the 10-0 Frosh team at 6’4″ 210. The Rangers O-line also returns 4 guys that started multiple games last season. Colby Howard from the basketball team set to play TE.
