DIVISION 6 PAG METER 2020 BASEBALL RANKINGS & NOTES

No 1 Riverdale Cowboys (6-3) (0-0 WEST SEQUOIA)
Now that the winter sports are now over, the Cowboys will be much better with a full team. The pitching ace will be ready with senior Mason Musgrave who finished last year with a 0.60 ERA in 46 innings with 79 strikeouts. At the plate he hit .356 with 7 doubles, 5 triples, scored 27 runs, 27 stolen bases and knocked in 20 runs. One of the best players will be senior Johnny Solorio, who was the West Sequoia Offensive Player of the Year hitting .500, scored 25 runs, 15 RBI’s, 10 doubles, 1 triple, and 25 stolen bases. Senior leader will be senior Xavier Rangel and keep an eye on junior Jaron Braz who will play everywhere.

No 2 Kennedy Thunderbirds (9-2) (0-0 SOUTH SEQUOIA)
A star is born with freshmen Miguel Barraza who can hit and pitch. The Birds are good and will make a run at the championship.

No 3 Fresno Christian Eagles (5-2) (0-0 EAST SIERRA)
The Eagles are the youngest team in the section with no seniors and only one junior. Leading the way will be sophomore Sam Swearengin who can flat hit and pitch. Sophomore Soren Sobrado, is also a very good hitter that will play infielder and pitch. The old man on the team is junior Hunter Raines who is a great athlete that comes from the soccer team and will pitch and play infield.

No 4 Kern Valley Broncs (4-0) (0-0 HIGH DESERT)
Plenty of Broncs return including the entire pitching staff including senior Damon Sage, & junior Tyler Strange.

No 5 Orosi Cardinals (5-2) (WEST SEQUOIA)
The Cardinals return plenty this year

No 6 Granite Hills Grizzlies (5-2) (1-1 EAST SEQUOIA)
Seniors Rene Lopez, and Alonso Bedolla, leading the pitching staff. This team has the makings to be really good!

No 7 Roosevelt Rough Riders (4-4) (0-0 NORTH YOSEMITE)
The Riders will be much better this year.

No 8 Shafter Generals (4-5) (0-0 SOUTH SEQUOIA)
The Generals will battle. The Pitching is off to a good start.

No 9 South Rebels (4-6) (0-0 SEYL)
Leading the Rebels will be Isaac Guerra, and junior Mathew Abad.

No 10 Mammoth Huskies (4-0)
This could be the sleeper team

No 11 Boron Bobcats (4-3) (0-0 HIGH DESERT)
The Cats return plenty and leading the way will be seniors Aaron Core, and Bryson Job.

No 12 Strathmore Spartans (6-7) (0-0 EAST SEQUOIA)
The Spartans will be pretty young and will be much better now that winter sports are over. Senior ace William Reece, last year went 8-2 with an 0.58 ERA, & has speed at the plate and stole 42 bases.

No 13 Foothill Trojans (4-6) (1-0 SEYL)
Tough early schedule will get the Trojans readly for a playoff run. The pitching staff has potential with senior Josue Salva, and freshmens Noah Delgado, & Michael Mendoza.

No 14 Orange Cove Titans (2-5) (0-0 WEST SEQUOIA)
The Titans will be pretty young all over the place. The senior leader will be pitcher Oscar Garza.

No 15 Parlier Panthers (2-4) (0-0 WEST SEQUOIA)
The Panthers will be much better this year. Plenty of pitching returns with seniors Gene Delsid, Stevie Sanchez, and Eddie Sanchez

No 16 Summit Charter Academy Bears (1-9-1) (EAST SIERRA)
The Bears will be young and the offense needs a better year

No 17 Farmersville Aztecs (2-6) (0-2 EAST SEQUOIA)
The Aztecs will have a young pitching staff

No 18 Trona Tornadoes (2-4) (0-0 HI LO)
Stay tuned on the Tornadoes

No 19 Woodlake (0-10-1) (0-0 SOUTH SEQUOIA)
The Tigers will be much better now that winter sports are over.

No 20 Laton Mustangs (1-6) (0-0 EAST SIERRA)
Sophomore Kobe Olsen is looking to have a big year pitching

No 21 Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves (0-1) (0-0 EAST SIERRA)
Slowly building a baseball program. Will start slow because of winter sports.

No 22 Avenal Buccaneers (0-4) (0-0 WEST SIERRA)
This Bucs team is young and very coach able. They will get better and better.

No 23 Tranquillity Tigers (0-5) (0-0 WEST SIERRA)
The Tigers return plenty including senior ace Scott Turner.

No 24 Frazier Mountain Falcons (1-3) (0-0 HIGH DESERT)
Leading the way will be senior Seth Carroll

No 25 California City Ravens (1-5) (0-0 HIGH DESERT)
The Ravens pitching staff is the X factor.

No 26 Desert Scorpions (0-4) (0-0 HIGH DESERT)
The pitching staff will be young

No 27 Kings Christian Crusaders (1-6) (0-0 EAST SIERRA)
The Crusaders will be young and leading the way will be senior Steven Schuman & sophomore Mason Mendes. Needs the pitching to step up.
