PAG METER DIVISION 1 BASKETBALL FINAL RANKINGS
No 1 Memorial Panthers (24-7)(10-0 CMAC CHAMPIONS) OPEN & CENTRAL SECTION CHAMPIONS
The Defending Division 2 Champions are now in Division 1. The Panthers will be young and real good with freshman Mike Davis, sophomores Joseph Hunter, Devin Newsome, & Jack Wade, juniors Jaden Geron, & Jalen Douglas. Senior Stephon Young, will be leading the young Panthers.
No 2 Clovis West Golden Eagles (26-6)(9-1 TRAC CHAMPIONS)
The Defending Central Section Champions will be led by super junior Cole Anderson. Cole already has 17 Division 1 College offers and will be the all time leading scorer by the time he graduates from CW. The Golden Eagles will need, Jarren Carr and Max Phillips to have big years for the Golden Eagles to return to Selland. Junior transfer Preston Kilbert, is now playing.
No 3 Arroyo Grande Eagles (28-6)(9-1 MOUNTAIN CHAMPIONS) DIVISION 3 SOUTHERN SECTION STATE CHAMPIONS
The Eagles have plenty coming back with seniors Robert Hutchens, & Gage Gomez.
No 4 Clovis North Broncos (21-10)(8-2 TRAC)
One of the best big men in the Central Section is senior 6’7 Terri Miller. Watch out for seniors Malachi Henry, David Opoku-Ababio, and Sammy Al Saber who will be leading the Broncos. Junior 6’5 Ak Okereke is real good! A star is born with freshman Blake Freeman.
No 5 Clovis East T Wolves (21-11)(5-5 TRAC) DIVISION 1 CHAMPIONS
The T Wolves should be real good this year with seniors Jermal Pittman, Tyler Pacheco, and Will Wiggins. Split with Clovis West
No 6 Bullard Knights (18-15)(6-4 CMAC)
The Knights will be young. Beat Central & Buchanan and split with Edison.
No 7 Bakersfield Drillers (23-7)(10-0 SWYL CHAMPIONS)
This could be the year the Drillers win it all and leading the way will be seniors David Whatley, Josh Geary, & Kosta Bikakis.
No 8 St Joseph Knights (24-7)(8-2 MOUNTAIN )
Plenty of outstanding returning juniors with Angel Ortiz, Steven Vasquez, & Sam Bazunga. senior Tim Noe should have a big year.
No 9 Buchanan Bears (15-15)(5-5 TRAC)
The Bears should have a much better year. Leading the Bears will be the Barnes boys with senior Charlie & junior Coby. Lost to Bullard
No 10 Central Grizzlies (15-13)(3-7 TRAC)
The Grizzlies will be real young with sophomores, Marquise Greene, Kaylon Mason, & Jaylon Walton, along juniors Mo Musleh, & Cedric Coward. Lost to Bullard
No 11 Edison Tigers (15-11) (6-4 CMAC)
Tigers Head Coach Jervis Cole is building back the program. Beat Roosevelt. Split with Buchanan, Madera, Hoover and Bullard.
No 12 Mission Prep Royals (16-13)(5-5 MOUNTAIN)
Plenty return with juniors Zac Hatch, Assani Berkeley, & Mark Rodriguez. Lost to Roosevelt
No 13 Liberty Patriots (7-16)(3-7 SWYL)
The Patriots are always a good shooting teams and this year look out for senior Brock Batten, junior Aydin Medrano, & sophomore Justin Yasukochi.
No 14 Clovis Cougars (10-19)(0-10 TRAC)
The Cougars have one of the best players in the section with senior Cal Stilson. Beat Mission Prep
No 15 Stockdale Mustangs (13-12)(2-8 SWYL)
The Mustangs are off to a great start and leading the way will be senior Lawrence Duru.
No 16 Sunnyside Wildcats (6-20)(2-8 NYL)
The Wildcats are playing a tough schedule. Leading the way will be senior Elijah Mouanoutoua.
Central and Edison never played. Central beat Edison of Stockton. Slight error there. Thanks for your ranks.
