Utah State Vs Fresno State

The Fresno State Bulldogs are coming back after a 41-38 win, brought by kicker Cesar Silva hitting a 37 yard field goal as time expired, winning the game against Hawai’i. The Bulldogs are now 4-4(2-2). Some shining moments in this game were brought by Freshman Jalen Cropper and Freshman Evan Williams. For Cropper, he had a breakout game with three catches for 62 yards, one passing touchdown for 36 yards and two carries for 61 yards, and 1 rushing touchdown. On the defense side, Evan Williams came to play with 9 tackles and one interception and took home Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week honors.
The Bulldogs will have a big test tonight as they face Jordan Love and the Utah State Aggies 4-4(3-1). Both teams still have a shot at the Mountain West championship game.
Keys to the Game:
For Utah State, this game will be on Jordan Love, the Bakersfield native coming back to the valley and has been receiving a lot of interest from NFl scouts. Although Love has not looked his best this year, he still has over 2,000 passing yards and 9TD passes. Another weapon on this offense is Senior RB Gerold Bright who has over 500 rushing yards and 5 Touchdowns. Fresno State defense has struggled a lot against the run this year and this could be the key for the Aggies to leave Fresno with a win.
For the Dogs, they are coming back from big time win against Hawai’i last week. But the defense did not look too great. Fresno State will face a very talented QB in Jordan Love but Love has a problem taking care of the ball with 12int this season. If Fresno State can force turnovers and make Utah State a one dimensional offense, the Dogs will be great position to win this game. Offensively, Jalen Cropper needs the ball in his hands. The freshman WR had 2TD last week one passing and one rushing. If Fresno State can get Jalen Cropper going early and Ronnie Rivers going early to open this offense for Jorge Reyna, then it will be a long day for that Aggies defense..
This is a must win for both teams to stay alive for the Mountain West Title game. The Aggies are one game behind Boise State, and the Bulldogs are one game behind San Diego State. Will Jordan Love and the Aggies leave Fresno with a win, or will Dogs get its 5th win of the season and stay alive for a chance at the title game? Find out tonight at Bulldog Stadium as Paul Geroge will make an appearance tonight. Game will be live on CBS Sports Network and Espn940.
