Dinuba Basketball Continues Dominance In League Play

The basketball season is now in full swing, as many teams are almost 10 games in already to the season. We will now look at Dinuba’s week in review for basketball.
Dinuba Girls Basketball (Lemoore on 12/11/17)
The girls basketball team traveled to Lemoore to play against the Tigers for a non league game. Dinuba seemed to dominate the game and won 56-34. Mireya “Mighty Mouse” Hernandez lead the team with 19 points in the victory and seemed to be on a whole other level. The JV and Freshman teams also won, so even the future looks bright for the Lady Emperors!
Tulare Union (12/12/17)
The girls basketball team had no home games this week as the day right after the girls team traveled to Tulare and played the tribe for their second game in a row for the week. The girls won 49-48 but trust me Dinuba did have to fight for this win. Luckily for Dinuba, they lead by 4 with 10 seconds left before Tulare Union drilled a three to give Dinuba a mini heart attack as they only had a 1 point lead with 4 seconds left. Sam Mendoza led the team with 21 points.
Dinuba Boys Basketball (December 7th to 9th)
G Kingsburg Tournament- The boys placed 3rd in the Kingsburg tournament . They went 3-1 in the tournament, beating Lemoore (75-67), Coalinga (65-34) and Golden West (74-66). They lost to Hanford 45-50 on the 8th, which put them in the battle for 3rd place. Congrats boys!
