The Warriors beat East 58-19. QB Jacob Root threw 5 TD passes, AJ Anderson caught 2 TDs, Karson Tiewater, Kaleb Songer and Cyler Hoofard each caught a TD before the Warriors shut it down.
This is for the league Championship especially if the Warriors win. The Stars are playing their best football and that is all you can ask for when you are playing the best.

The Patriots beat Stockdale 56-6. The Patriots jumped out to a 41-0 lead before shutting it down. Cole O’Brien threw a TD pass and scored 2 TDs.
The Golden Hawks beat Highland 24-7. Angel Lozano scored 2 TDs (16 & 52 yard runs) and QB Adam Copus threw a 63-yard TD pass to Kaden Howard.
Can the Golden Hawks offense have a good night vs the best defense they will have played so far this year? The Patriots are looking for their 30th straight league win. Will the Golden Hawks be intimated playing the state champions?

MEMORIAL PANTHERS (3-5) (2-1) vs BULLARD KNIGHTS (2-6) (1-2)
The Panthers got beat up in Madera 56-35 and the Knights lost to Garza 27-10.
Bullard and SJM used to own the CMAC but both have hit hard times. The Panthers are just trying to survive the year and the Knights might never be the same again thanks to a few parents and the Bullard Principal.
The Knights should have been 3-0 heading into the Sanger game and now they will have to pull off all the stops to beat a struggling Panthers team.
The big X factor if Knights RB Dom Gonzalez shows up the Knights should take care of business. If not, the Panthers will win. This one is tough to pick a score because the Knights play good defense and the Panthers don’t. The Panthers offense is way better than the Knights offense. This Bullard team is completely opposite now than when Arax was the HC so who knows who will show up. This game can go in so many different directions. This pick is a pure guess.

The Apaches shutout Edison 31-0. Israel Robles rushed for 173 yards and scored 3 TDs.
The Coyotes beat Memorial 56-35. The Coyotes offense was way too fast for the Panthers. Daniel Mendez rushed for 269 yards and scored 3 TDs. QB Joel Arellano threw 3 TD passes to Michael Pedro and scored a TD.
The Coyotes will come in fired up after beating the Panthers for the first time since joining the CMAC. The Coyotes would have been a contender in the CMAC if they only had one school. We will see in the future what Sanger West does to Apaches football.
The Apaches are big/fast and the X factor can the Coyotes score enough points to stay with the Apaches?

The Titans lost to Corcoran 45-21.
This is a big D6 seeding game. Can the Cardinals slow down the Titans passing attack? The Redbirds are getting healthy again and feeling good about the rest of the way.

The X factor is very simple and no secrets in this one. Both teams are physical and will want to pound the ball. Which defense can slow the run game down and make the big stops?
The Panthers come in banged up and that’s not good playing the undefeated Redbirds. The Panthers will need a huge game from Rios and the O-line.

The Grizzlies lost to Orosi 56-6.
The Spartans shutout Woodlake 22-0. Gerardo Ruiz rushed for 102 yards and scored a TD.
The Spartans come in with some injuries and they should still roll at home. All Star RB Jacob Poole will be out again this week with an injury.

The Pioneers have won 3 straight games after beating Golden West 33-23. RB Kysen Sing scored 3 TDs and the defense came up big. The Pioneers picked off 3 passes, Michael Sanchez, Adrian Huerta each had a pick and Noah Murillo had a 72 yard pick-6. The Pioneers are now starting to believe and HC Nathan Chamberlain and his staff are doing a fantastic job.
The Miners beat Monache 24-14 to get their first win. The Miners like that winning feeling.
This is a very good Visalia rivalry. Which team can finish drives with points? If the Miners want to enter the postseason tournament, this is a must win.

The Scorpions haven’t scored a point all year long and the Broncos defense will be too much.
There could be a running clock starting at the National Anthem.

The Highlanders will roll and the Highlanders will get their 6th win for the first time in 10 years. 1995 was the last time the Highlanders won 7 games and a playoff game. The Highlanders should be in D5 but because they are successful and doing well, this wacky playoff format will screw the Highlanders and put them in D4.
To all of Stallions nation, Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban couldn’t win a game coaching a JV team and playing against varsity teams. To the very young Stallions players, play hard, learn from this and get better in the off season because your time is coming.

The Redcats lost to Chowchilla 26-22. Lorenzo Turner scored 3 TDs.
QB Bubba Smith was kicked out of the game and will not play in this game.
This is a tough pick with Bubba out. Fowler is playing at home and will go with freshman Euraiya Morelos at QB. That means for the Redcats to win, the O-line and RB Turner will need a big game. Can Cowboys Camacho have another big game?

The Titans are one week away from the showdown at Liberty. The Titans need to take care of business early this week so they can prepare early for next week.

Can the Scots slow down Abbott? Nobody else can!

The Falcons need to start playing good Falcons football for the playoffs and the Pack are looking for any kind of spark.

KINGSBURG VIKINGS (6-2) (2-1) at CENTRAL VALLEY CHRISTIAN CAVALIERS (7-1) (3-0)
The Vikings beat Kerman 19-13. Wyatt Boyd caught a 52-yard TD pass from Max Warkentin and the game winner.
The Cavaliers beat Selma 42-6. Bryson Donelson, who has committed to play at Fresno State, rushed for 93 yards and scored a TD. For the year, Donelson has rushed for 1,385 yards and has scored 24 TDs.
With Donelson committing to playing for the Bulldogs, he can now focus on football and not worry about all the pressure and thinking about college.
This is a great rivalry and the Vikings defense will hang tough but can the Vikings offense score enough to stay in this game? The Vikings are now healthy. The Vikings have been banged up for a solid month.

The Bears are young, big and physical and the Panthers are trying to put a win streak together. The Panthers loss to Exeter was a good loss because it put the Panthers in D3.

The Eagles with a big win over Sierra Pacific 28-27. Shane Spomer scored 4 TDs and blocked the game winning field goal.
The Monarchs beat Washington Union 37-15. The Monarchs defense is very good. QB Jacob Molina threw 3 TD passes and scored a TD. Calderon rushed for 82 yards and caught 2 TD passes.
The Eagles are big upfront and will need to pound the ball with long drives to keep the speedy Monarchs offense on the sidelines. This Monarchs team is so good on both sides of the ball.

BUCHANAN BEARS (2-6) (0-3) at CLOVIS COUGARS (6-2) (2-1)
The Bears lost to Central 27-6. The score was 0-0 at the half but the Bears got worn down in the 2nd half.
The Cougars lost to Clovis North 24-7. The score at the half was 7-7 but the Cougars got shutout in the 2nd half. Noah Luginbill scored the Cougars TD.
The Cougars have one of the best defensive fronts in the Central Section and if the Bears can’t run the football, game over. The Bears are in trouble of going 0-5 in the TRAC and that means no postseason tournament. The Cougars offense is not flashy and this could be a slow death for the Bears. The Bears need to force some turnovers to pull off a win.
Look for QB Deagan Rose to pick apart the Bears defense slowly.

CLOVIS EAST T WOLVES (6-2) (1-2) at CENTRAL GRIZZLIES (6-2) (2-1)
The T Wolves beat Clovis West 42-22. QB Ty Miller threw for 328 yards and 2 TDs and scored a TD. Donyell Booker caught 2 passes that went for 102 yards and 2 TDs. Lindsey Graves rushed for 101 yards and scored a TD. Bishop and Slocum each scored on rushing TDs.
The Grizzlies beat Buchanan 27-6. The Grizzlies are an average 1st half team and a completely different team in the 2nd half. I have no idea what HC Kyle Biggs says at halftime because it’s working. The score was 0-0 at the half. The Grizzlies went to the bullpen at QB with David Marquez who went 16-23 for 299 yards and 3 TDs and scored a TD. Daylon Scott caught 6 passes and 2 TDs and Braylen Hall caught a TD. Noel Felix III is back from injury and caught 10 footballs for 119 yards.
When you are a Grizzlies QB, you have one job and that is to get the ball to the athletes. The Grizzlies have been missing that and Marquez came in to give the Grizzlies a huge spark. If the Grizzlies can figure out how NOT to turn the ball over, they can beat anybody.
I keep hearing, will the T Wolves play with a let down. Wait…what? If anybody thinks that the T Wolves will not be fired up playing at Central then you are not paying attention. CE is good but not that good that they can walk in and just win.
Last year Central beat CE 56-13. Enough said.
There will be some tremendous speed on both sides of the ball. The T Wolves will have at WR/DB with Tommy Nix, Harold Duvall, Landon Nesbitt, Donyell Booker and Aidan Wilson. The Grizzlies will have Brandon Smith, Daylon Scott, Noel Felix III, Braylen Hall and EJ Morgan.
Which defense will step up and make the big stops. With Grizzlies WR Felix III back in the lineup, that will be huge for the offense.
Can Marquez keep it going for the Grizzlies offense?
Can the Grizzlies defense slow down the T Wolves offensive machine? The T Wolves have the best secondary in the Central Section so the Grizzlies have to control the line of scrimmage with running the football. They can’t get 3rd and long. Is it an upset if the Grizzlies beat the Wolves? I don’t think so.

CLOVIS NORTH BRONCOS (8-0) (3-0) vs CLOVIS WEST GOLDEN EAGLES (5-3) (1-2)
The Broncos beat Clovis 24-7. The Broncos wore down the Cougars in the 2nd half. Andrew Chavez scored 2 TDs. The Broncos defense is very good.
The Golden Eagles lost to Clovis East 42-22. Tyler Patrick threw 291 yards and 2 TDs. Jordan Pierro and Dom Decanio each caught a TD.
This is a broken record with the Clovis West QB rotation? Yes it still continues which makes zero sense. You know it’s crazy when Gabe Camarillo is talking about.
I would completely understand the thinking with rotating QBs if you had a Lamar Jackson type athlete to rotate in with wildcat but CW doesn’t.
Here are some reasons why it might be happening and these are all a guess.
1, When the OC was hired, they told him you have full reins on the offense and nobody can tell you no?
I sure hope that’s not the case because what does that tell your head coach EB!

2, Clovis West has a zero running game, and they are taking TP out to run the ball?
If that’s the case then CW doesn’t get the method of that plan of how to run the wildcat.

3, CW must think they have no chance of winning the Central Section Championship with a thin team so why not rotate QBs with the senior TP and the sophomore QB Tyler Franklin who’s dad is the OC.
The thinking might be, TP is a senior and might as well play the sophomore and plan for next year. The great seniors in this CW class will hate that plan if that is what CW is doing. This is one of the most talented athletic groups in Valley history. CW next year will be in rebuilding mode.

4, EB is a young Head Coach and not ready to step in and say WTF is going on with the offense since EB is on the defensive side of the ball.

5, Senior QB is a multi-sport All Star baseball player and CW doesn’t really promote playing other sports because sometimes it takes time away time during the summer. I pray that’s not it.

6, It’s simply Daddy ball.

All this makes NO sense and some are cool theories and I wish I or CW nation had the answer of what the heck is going on! Why? Because the Pagmeter email basket blows up and fans want to know.
Vacationing right now in the Middle East makes more sense than the CW QB rotation idea.

Clovis West lacks a run game so what does that tell the defense? Bring pressure on the QB that has no time to throw and focus on the great CW receivers. 3 things will happen with that plan and 2 of them are bad. It’s a 7 vs 7 offense.
Clovis West WR Marshal Sanders is back this week after missing last week’s game.
With Clovis West trying to figure out what the hell they want to do on offense, they get to play the best team in the Central Section. The Broncos sure know what they want to do and that is run your ass over and pound the football along with a tremendous defense.
The Broncos have a vision of winning the Central Section Championship and the Broncos are a machine on both sides of the ball.
For the Golden Eagles to win this one, they have to score almost every time they have the football, and force some turnovers because the Broncos won’t be punting much. This is not a good matchup for the thin CW defense.
The PAGMETER has a fast growing Twitter Spaces post game show after every Friday Night Lights game and when Clovis West plays their last playoff game, I’m looking forward to chatting with plenty of CW fans because I’m guessing they are ready to explode with what is going on with this talented team.

MENDOTA AZTECS (3-5) (1-2) at COALINGA HORNED TOADS (7-1) (3-0)
The Aztecs lost to Dos Palos 44-41. A bad call with 3 minutes to go cost the Aztecs a win. The Aztecs ran a screen and were called for a lineman down field that was ready to go for a TD. The ball was thrown behind the line of scrimmage. Bad call. David Rodriguez rushed for 220 yards and 3 TDs. Donnie Munoz rushed for 174 yards and scored 2 TDs.
The Toads shut out Avenal 24-0. The Toads defense dominated the line of scrimmage. Noah Tasi threw a TD pass to Dylan Teixeira. Julius Borjas and Gus Alvarado each scored on rushing TDs.
This game comes down to which defense plays better. The Aztecs will pound the ball vs the Toads passing attack.

Pagmeter idea to start a new league and get Tranquility out of the WSL because their numbers are way down. There should be a new league with Tranquility, Avenal, Parlier, Yosemite, Riverdale, Minarets and Sierra.

The Mustangs schedule does not get any easier the rest of the way and they are trying to get their 3rd win for the postseason tournament.

The Tigers are getting better with every game they play and the defending D2 Champions will be tough to beat in the playoffs.

The Eagles are ranked No 1 in the State and Valley Christian are ranked No 2 in the State.

The Pirates got their win of the year beating Hanford West 60-42. The Pirates had 595 yards of offense. Demetris Vargas rushed for 191 yards. Soph QB Max Bacon had a breakout game throwing for 2 TDs, rushed for 168 yards and scored 2 TDs. Richie Camacho rushed for 107 yards and scored 2 TDs.
Sierra Pacific Lost their first game of the year to Immanuel 28-27. The Golden Bears had the game winning field goal blocked.
This is an interesting game. The Pirates are young and much bigger than the G Bears. The G Bears are the heavy 24 point favorite and the big X factor, can the G Bears match up with the Pirates big O-line?

This is the best team in Riverside Christian school history. Their only loss was to Fresno Christian 46-36 and there could be a rematch in the 8-man Championship game. Leading the way is senior RB/LB Calvin Bohannan who is averaging 7 yards per carry.
The Ambassadors will roll in this one. Week 11 RC will host Orcutt Academy for the No 2 playoff seed.
