FOOTBALL NEWS

NEWS 🏈
Head Football Coach DON ARAX has been let go from Bullard!!
Sources tell me that Don Arax was let go after 23 years because “Bullard needed a change.”
WE ALL KNOW THAT’S BULLSHIT.
Bullard was 1-4 heading into the Bye week, with narrow losses to Clovis West and Clovis, and a brutal non league schedule. Bullard was starting 7 sophomores and a Freshman QB.
Apparently Coach Arax fell out of favor with Principal Armen Torigian, who failed to deliver on several promises he made to Arax to support the football program. Arax was also disappointed with Torigian’s lack of support to a committee of teachers/alumni advocating for educational reform and a more structured discipline program at the school. Torigian broke up the committee and shut down their concerns.
This was troubling, because in recent years, Bullard has deteriorated with school safety being a major issue.
Many long time Bullard boosters are angry and are pulling all future support from Bullard. Who can blame them!?!
In the mean time, Arax is taking the high road and not speaking publicly. He’s excited about future coaching opportunities.
Bullard’s Football schedule this year was difficult.
Comparing the Bullard Knight’s schedule to the Fresno State Bulldog’s schedule gives some insight.
FSU has played teams that are well known, but are having down years. The town is excited they are going 4-0. If the Dogs played USC, Washington, Washington State, and Oregon, the Dogs are probably 0-4 and the town thinks the Dogs are having a bad season-which we know is not true.
Winning is everything these days, and strength of schedule is often overlooked.
Bullard’s young players took on teams that are on the rise. Perception is not always what it seems.
The Knights have played outstanding teams so far. Hanford, Frontier, and Clovis West are all playing well with few losses.
The Knights came close in tight games with CW and Clovis.
Unfortunately, Principal Torigian used this as an excuse to fire Arax.
Torigian knows that a young Bullard team is growing and maturing. They will be a contender in the CMAC. If the Knights are a contender, you can’t fire a coach with a tremendously improved team…especially after the Knights battled for a state championship just 2 short years ago.
Bullard High School has a reputation for striving for excellence.
The school now faces many new challenges and needs strong leadership. The campus has devolved into a discipline nightmare with multiple daily fights, disrespect, and safety concerns.
Torigian was brought in to clean up the discipline problem, but it continues to worsen. Very little has been done to improve the situation, and Torigan seems to be intimidated by the downtown Fresno Unified Administration.
Arax is also in the process of suing FUSD woke trustee, Keshia Thomas, for defamation.
Having Thomas as a trustee is bad for FUSD, and Arax is calling her out for lying. Could this be a factor?
FUSD seems to have had enough of the Arax family over the years, because nobody stands up and advocates for the Bullard High School Community like Don, brother Mark, and sister Michelle Arax Asadoorian (Former FUSD trustee).
The district has used Torigian as the perfect puppet at Bullard, and Torigian fell for it, which is sad because Don Arax helped him get the job.
It’s apparent that FUSD would love to see Bullard High School brought down to the level of the rest of the schools in the district. Without Don, Mark, & Michelle, Bullard would be just like the rest of the underachieving schools. Fresno can only do so much, when FUSD is the worst district in the USA. It has been an uphill battle for 30+ years. Sooner or later Donnie was going to leave but to do it during bye week is a low-life move.
Many people thought that the parents were complaining about Arax and that Torigian made the move because of the complaints, but that wasn’t the case at all, in fact it was the complete opposite. Many parents have expressed their frustration and are livid.
What Torigian & FUSD don’t understand is that they just opened up a HUGE hornet’s nest with Bullard Nation, and it is not sitting well. Most of the Bullard supporters are Arax followers, and when he coaches again, they will follow him and won’t support Bullard.
Just watch how fast the decline will be with Bullard Football.
The rest of the sports at Bullard; Baseball, Softball, and Soccer will be just fine, but Bullard Football will suffer more than any sport, and the shit show will begin.
Bullard out grew the Battle of Barstow vs Hoover years ago, but it looks like the rivalry will be back very soon.
Several years ago the talk was about Bullard joining the TRAC, but you can forget about that talk.
With the help of Torigian, the worst school district in the USA will not have to worry about Bullard Knight Football any longer because the fight is over!
How does Bullard fire, arguably the most successful Football coach in the history of the district? The Bullard Administration doesn’t even have the class to issue a statement thanking Coach Arax for all of his years of service!!
Mediocrity has triumphed.
Coach Don Arax

NORTH YOSEMITE
MADERA SOUTH STALLIONS (0-6) (0-3) vs FRESNO HIGH WARRIORS (1-5) (1-2)
The loser of this game is pretty much not playing in the postseason tournament. With all the injuries, the Stallions are fielding a sophomore/freshman team. The Warriors have the edge.
PAGMETER PREDICTION WARRIORS 20 STALLIONS 13 (FINAL WARRIORS 27 STALLIONS 6)
SOUTH YOSEMITE – HORIZON
ARVIN BEARS (4-3) (1-0) at DEL ORO SUNS (0-6) (0-1)
The Sun will have trouble slowing down the red hot Bears offense. The Bears beat West 48-21. QB Andrew Rosales threw for 357 yards and 3 TDs. Jack Kasinger caught 13 passes for 219 yards and 2 TDs, Xavier Reynoso caught a 72-yard TD,rushed for 121 yards and scored 2 TDs. MIRA MONTE LIONS (0-6) (0-1) at GOLDEN VALLEY BULLDOGS (4-2) (1-0)
The Lions are hoping to finish strong but starting off against the team favored to win the Horizon is not good. The Dogs beat Wasco 28-16. Nate Abbott rushed for 161 yards, scored 2 TDs, and Dominick Thompson rushed for 110 yards and scored a TD.
PAGMETER PREDICTION BULLDOGS 50 LIONS 13 (FINAL BULLDOGS 42 LIONS 7)
WEST SIERRA
COALINGA HORNED TOADS (5-1) (1-0) at FIREBAUGH EAGLES (2-4) (0-1)
The Toads will come in pissed off because they were thinking 10-0. I’m thinking 9-1, West Sierra league Champions and a high Division 4 seed with some home playoff games will be just as nice. The Eagles will have their hands full with the Toads.
PAGMETER PREDICTION TOADS 37 EAGLES 13 (FINAL TOADS 28 EAGLES 6)
AVENAL BUCCANEERS (4-2) (0-1) at DOS PALOS BRONCOS (5-1) (1-0)
The Bucs have played the perfect schedule and are 4-1 and are believing but now face the powerful Broncos. The Broncos are extra tough at home.
PAGMETER PREDICTION BRONCOS 41 BUCS 14 (FINAL BRONCOS 35 BUCS 0)
SOUTH YOSEMITE – MOUNTAIN
WEST VIKINGS (1-5) (0-1) at NORTH STARS (1-5) (1-0)
This is a must win for the Stars and starting off league 1-0 would be a great do over.
PAGMETER PREDICTION STARS 31 VIKINGS 13 (FINAL STARS 37 VIKINGS 19)
SOUTHWEST YOSEMITE – RIVER
GARCES RAMS (2-4) (0-1) at LIBERTY PATRIOTS (5-1) (1-0)
The Rams are hot, winning 2 straight and now take on the Kings of Bakersfield. Can the Rams defense step up? The Rams offense needs a HUGE night.
PAGMETER PREDICTION PATRIOTS 37 RAMS 20 (FINAL LIBERTY 41 RAMS 13)
TRI-COUNTY – SEQUOIA
EXETER MONARCHS (6-0) (1-0) vs HANFORD HUSKIES (0-5) (0-1)
The Monarchs come in with a big win over Porterville 17-12. The Huskies offense is struggling and now go against one of the best defenses in the Central Section.
PAGMETER PREDICTION MONARCHS 49 HUSKIES 6 (FINAL MONARCHS 52 HUSKIES 12)
WEST YOSEMITE
LEMOORE TIGERS (4-2) (1-0) at TULARE UNION TRIBE (4-2) (0-1)
The Tigers come in, shutting out South 40-0 and the Tribe beat up Kingsburg 42-12. Tribe QB Jordan Crisp threw for 331 yards, 2 TDs and scored a TD.
This is the outstanding Tigers offense vs the outstanding Tribe defense. The big X factor is this game is played on the slick turf in Tulare and the Tribe have the advantage. Can Tribe/Redskins outstanding Head Coach Darren Bennett get career win No 236 in his 29th year? If the Tigers defense plays tough they will win.
PAGMETER PREDICTION TRIBE 34 TIGERS 27 (FINAL TIGERS 32 TRIBE 21)
TRI-COUNTY-KINGS CANYON
CVC CAVALIERS (5-1) (1-0) at KERMAN LIONS (2-4) (0-1)
Both teams come off a bye. This X factor is easy, can the Lions slow down outstanding running back Bryson Donelson who has rushed for 1,160 yards and has scored 18 TDs. If the Lions do put plenty in the box to stop the run, the Caves can also throw the ball with red hot QB Brent Kroeze who is averaging 200 passing yards a game. For the Lions they need a huge night from sophomore QB Adrian Torres.
PAGMETER PREDICTION CAVALIERS 52 LIONS 21 (FINAL CAVALIERS 52 LIONS 14)
TRI-COUNTY – SEQUOIA
IMMANUEL EAGLES (3-3) (1-0) at REEDLEY PIRATES (0-6) (0-1)
FOR THE REEDLEY CITY CHAMPIONSHIP
The young Pirates might be 0-5 and have made plenty of mistakes but you can throw that out the window because it’s Immanuel week. Which offense can win the line of scrimmage battle?
PAGMETER PREDICTION PIRATES 21 EAGLES 20 (FINAL EAGLES 47 PIRATES 28)
OCEAN
TEMPLETON EAGLES (4-2) (1-1) vs CABRILLO CONQUISTADORS (0-6) (0-3)
The Eagles just didn’t play good football in the loss to Santa Maria 24-19. Look for the Eagles to get back on track with the running attack.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS FINAL SCORES
CMAC
BULLARD KNIGHTS (2-4) (1-0) MADERA COYOTES (4-2) (0-1)
We all know by now that Knights head coach Don Arax is out after coaching the Knights in his 23rd year. AD Brandon Gilbert will take over the Knights. The Coyotes have had a tremendous non league schedule and if it all works out, the Coyotes will struggle in the CMAC and will get into Division 4.
If the Knights played a schedule like Madera, they would be 4-1 or 5-0 and Arax is a hero because not many teams are beating Hanford, Frontier and Clovis Clovis West. The Knights are a physical team and should take care of business. The only team in the CMAC that will be trouble for the Knights will be Sanger and the Knights should be 3-0 heading into that game. Now if the Coyotes pull the upset, the Knights season could unravel and you can blame the Bullard principal if that happens. The last time the Coyotes beat the Knights was in 2014.
PAGMETER PREDICTION KNIGHTS 42 COYOTES 21 (FINAL KNIGHTS 7 COYOTES 6)
EDISON TIGERS (1-5) (0-1) at MEMORIAL PANTHERS (2-4) (1-0)
The Tigers come in getting run over by the Bakersfield Drillers 41-21 and the Panthers had a bye. If the Panthers can pound the ball and play some defense they will get their first win on their brand new field turf at Memorial.
PAGMETER PREDICTION PANTHERS 30 TIGERS 20 (FINAL PANTHERS 22 TIGERS 21)
GARZA GUARDIANS (2-4) (0-1) at SANGER APACHES (5-1) (1-0)
The Guardians are streaky and you just don’t know who will show up. The Apaches always show up, especially at home. This is one of the biggest and fastest Apaches teams maybe ever and the Guardians are in deep trouble.
PAGMETER PREDICTION APACHES 48 GUARDIANS 13 (FINAL APACHES 41 GUARDIANS 14)
EAST SEQUOIA
CORCORAN PANTHERS (5-1) (3-0) at LINDSAY CARDINALS (2-4) (0-3)
BACKYARD BRAWL
The Pagmeter is trying to find a rivalry name for this game because both teams get after it when they play each other. Do you like the Backyard Brawl? The Cats vs Birds? Whatever they come up with, Pagmeter wants an XL shirt.
The Panthers offense is rolling and the Cardinals have been shutout in 2 straight league games. I’m taking the hot team.
PAGMETER PREDICTION PANTHERS 30 CARDINALS 13 (FINAL PANTHERS 28 CARDINALS 0)
GRANITE HILLS GRIZZLIES (1-5) (1-2) at FARMERSVILLE AZTECS (1-5) (0-3)

This is the game of the night!
Can the Cardinals slow down Spartans RB Jacob Poole who is averaging 150 yards per game and can the Spartans slow down Cardinals RB Andrew Camarillo who is averaging 220 yards per game.
This should be a very physical game. The winner will play Corcoran for the possible league Championship.
PAGMETER PREDICTION CARDINALS 27 SPARTANS 25 (FINAL CARDINALS 28 SPARTANS 7)
WOODLAKE TIGERS (2-3) (2-1) at ORANGE COVE TITANS (2-3) (1-2)
The Tigers lost a battle to Corcoran 33-20 and OC beat up GH.
Which team can win the line of scrimmage battle? If the Titans offense can step up, they can pull off the win.
PAGMETER PREDICTION TIGERS 31 TITANS 28 (FINAL TIGERS 26 TITANS 20)
EAST YOSEMITE
GOLDEN WEST TRAILBLAZERS (1-5) (1-0) vs MONACHE MARAUDERS (1-5) (0-1)
This is a must win for the Blazers if they want to play in the postseason tournament because they are running out of possible wins on the schedule. The Blazers should win but the Marauders are so close with playing 48 minutes of good football.
PAGMETER PREDICTION BLAZERS 37 MARAUDERS 21 (FINAL BLAZERS 23 MARAUDERS 19)
PORTERVILLE PANTHERS (4-2) (0-1) vs MT WHITNEY PIONEERS (3-3) (1-0)

BISHOP UNION BRONCOS (5-1) (1-0) at BORON BOBCATS (4-2) (0-1)
The Broncos beat Rim of the World 14-7. QB Boden St Marie scored both TDs. The Bobcats had a bye.
The Broncos haven’t lost a HDL game since 2018 vs Cal City. This will be a battle of which defense plays better. The winner could end up the HDL Champions.
PAGMETER PREDICTION BRONCOS 28 BOBCATS 25 (FINAL BRONCOS 18 BOBCATS 13)
DESERT SCORPIONS (0-5) (0-1) at KERN VALLEY BRONCS (2-4) (1-0)
The only question in this game, can the Scorpions reach the end zone and score some points? The Scorps have yet to score a point.
PAGMETER PREDICTION BRONCS 44 SCORPIONS 0 (FINAL BRONCS 63 SCORPIONS 0)
ROSAMOND ROADRUNNERS (4-2) (1-0) at CAL CITY RAVENS (1-5) (0-1)
The Roadrunners need to take care of business because they feel they have a chance to match up with Bishop Union and Boron.
PAGMETER PREDICTION ROADRUNNERS 46 RAVENS 19 (FINAL ROADRUNNERS 48 RAVENS 7)
MOUNTAIN
ARROYO GRANDE EAGLES (5-1)(3-0) at NIPOMO TITANS (1-5) (0-3)
Everybody was thinking St Joes vs Mission Oak in week 11 for the Mountain Championship and the Eagles ruined that party beating St Joes 28-10. Drake Missamore hit Caleb Clark on a TD pass and James Zambrano, Ben Walz and Moses Diaz each scored on rushing TDs.
The Titans held Mission Prep 0-0 for a long time before the Royals took over and won 22-6.
The X factor will the Eagles come in with a St Joes hangover because the Titans will play you tough.

PAGMETER PREDICTION BRAVES 39 WARRIORS 25 (FINAL BRAVES 27 WARRIORS 21)
MISSION PREP ROYALS (5-1)(3-0) at PASO ROBLES BEARCATS (1-5) (1-2)
The Royals have the best defense in the Central Section only giving up a TD per game. The Royals are a team that wears you down for 4 quarters.
PAGMETER PREDICTION ROYALS 34 BEARCATS 7 (FINAL ROYALS 27 BEARCATS 6)
SANTA YNEZ PIRATES (3-3) (1-2) at ST JOSEPH KNIGHTS (4-2)(2-1)
This is a very interesting game. Can the Knights get back on the horse and play good Knights football after losing to AG? With this crazy playoff format, a Knight’s loss will put them in division 2 where they belong.
PAGMETER PREDICTION KNIGHTS 38 PIRATES 19 (FINAL KNIGHTS 42 PIRATES 10)
NORTH YOSEMITE
ROOSEVELT ROUGH RIDERS (2-4) (0-3) at MCLANE HIGHLANDERS (4-2) (2-1)
THE BATTLE FOR CEDAR
The Riders lost to Sunnyside 65-30 and the Highlanders lost to Torres 39-14.
This has been a great rival for 75 plus years and both teams are on the up swing with their programs. Which defense steps up will win this game.
PAGMETER PREDICTION HIGHLANDERS 39 RIDERS 25 (FINAL HIGHLANDERS 24 RIDERS 12)
HOOVER PATRIOTS (2-4) (1-2) at SUNNYSIDE WILDCATS (5-1) (3-0)
The Patriots beat Fresno High 34-14 and the Wildcats beat Roosevelt 65-30.
The Wildcats who should not be in the NYL and will beat up Hoover. If you haven’t seen the Wildcats play yet, they are the most undisciplined team possibly in the state. The Wildcats are loaded with talent, poorly coached up, with players coming out after halftime anytime they want, players walking around the track and doing anything they want. It’s a pathetic display with so much talent. Don Arax gets fired at Bullard for doing the right things and the Wildcats are wild renegades and FUSD is ok with that. SMH
The Wildcats are sleepwalking playing in the NYL and it’s not fair to the Wildcats or the other NYL teams. The Wildcats are the tweener team where they can’t win in D2 and will be competitive in D3.
PAGMETER PREDICTION WILDCATS 60 PATRIOTS 20 (FINAL WILDCATS 40 PATRIOTS 6)
SANGER WEST HORNETS (3-3) (2-1) vs TORRES TOROS (4-2) (3-0)
The Hornets are 2-0 in the NYL and playing with house money. The Toros will win in Madera.
PAGMETER PREDICTION TOROS 45 HORNETS 13 (FINAL TOROS 49 HORNETS 13)
NORTHWEST SEQUOIA
CARUTHERS BLUE RAIDERS (4-2) (3-0) at MINARETS MUSTANGS (4-2) (1-2)
The Blue Raiders are the hottest team and the Mustangs have played very good football. Can the Mustangs slow down the hottest running back on the planet Hunter Babb who leads the Central Section in rushing/TDs with 1,582 yards and has scored 23 TDs.
PAGMETER PREDICTION BLUE RAIDERS 48 MUSTANGS 23 (FINAL BLUE RAIDERS 42 MINARETS 14)
RIVERDALE COWBOYS (1-5) (0-3) at CHOWCHILLA TRIBE (4-2) (3-0)
THE COWBOY AND INDIAN BOWL
The Cowboys have hit a wall and now take on the new and improved Redskins/Tribe! Can the Boys slow down junior QB Davian Stephenson who is getting better with every game he plays in.
PAGMETER PREDICTION TRIBE 50 COWBOYS 6 (FINAL TRIBE 46 COWBOYS 6)
LIBERTY HAWKS (4-2) (2-1) at FOWLER REDCATS (2-4) (2-1)
The Hawks have been off 2 weeks and have only played 4 real games. The Redcats come off a bye after beating Parlier 60-24. QB Bubba Smith set school records throwing for 602 yards and 8 TD passes.
The X factor can the Redcats beat a good team like Liberty? Fowler is that tweener team where they will beat the struggling teams so this week is a big test. You know the Hawks are excited to hit somebody after being off so long.
PAGMETER PREDICTION HAWKS 27 REDCATS 24 (FINAL HAWKS 28 REDCATS 20)
YOSEMITE BADGERS (2-4) (1-2) at PARLIER PANTHERS (1-5) (0-3)
Both teams really need a win and this is a tough call.
PAGMETER PREDICTION PANTHERS 19 BADGERS 18 (FINAL BADGERS 20 PANTHERS 18)

The Panthers beat Cabrillo 50-21. Allan Jimenez rushed for 140 yards and 2 TDS on 17 carries.
Can the Tigers get over that tough Greyhounds loss? This could come down to the final minute.
PAGMETER PREDICTION PANTHERS 27 TIGERS 25 (FINAL TIGERS 35 PANTHERS 21)
SANTA MARIA SAINTS (3-4) (1-2) at MORRO BAY PIRATES (4-2)(1-1)
This will be a tremendous game of two even teams. The Saints beat Templeton 24-19. QB Josue Elena threw for 261 yards and 3 TD passes including the game winner to Frankie Alcala.

Both teams are dangerous and both defenses will need to make some big stops.
PAGMETER PREDICTION TITANS 23 TIGERS 21 (FINAL TITANS 29 TIGERS 28)
MCFARLAND COUGARS (2-5) (0-3) at SHAFTER GENERALS (7-0) (3-0)
The Cougars schedule the rest of the way is extremely tough. The Generals beat Taft 41-16. Sophomore QB EZ Osborne went 19-28 for 297 yards and 4 TDs. Hector Cruz caught 3 TDs, Mariyon Sloan caught a 44-yard TD. This is not a good matchup for the Cougars.
PAGMETER PREDICTION GENERALS 56 COUGARS 6 (FINAL GENERALS 49 COUGARS 0)
WASCO TIGERS (2-4) (1-1) at KENNEDY THUNDERBIRDS (6-1) (3-0)
The Tigers come in very young and the Thunderbirds are playing tremendous football. Can the Tigers defense slow down RB Jace Demacabalin who has rushed for 1,124 yards and has scored 18 TDs.
PAGMETER PREDICTION THUNDERBIRDS 40 TIGERS 13 (FINAL THUNDERBIRDS 42 TIGERS 0)
SOUTH YOSEMITE – MOUNTAIN
TEHACHAPI WARRIORS (7-0) (1-0) at SOUTH SPARTANS (1-5) (0-1)
The Warriors come in steamrolling after beating up Golden West 41-7. The Warriors defense is the real deal. The Warriors picked off 7 passes. Yes 7! Kaleb Songer (3), Jacob Betancourt (2), Karson Tiewater and Andrew Aguirre had a 52-yard pick-6.This is the first time since the year 2000 that the Warriors started the year 6-0 and look for the Warriors to go 10-0 heading into the playoffs.
The Rebels have played a very tough schedule and are due to play outstanding for 48 minutes.
PAGMETER PREDICTION WARRIORS 39 SPARTANS 19 (FINAL WARRIORS 35 SPARTANS 7)
SOUTHWEST YOSEMITE – RIVER
STOCKDALE MUSTANGS (3-3) (0-1) at CENTENNIAL GOLDEN HAWKS (4-2) (1-0)
The Mustangs are very happy to be 3-2 and the Golden Hawks might be a tad disappointed going 3-2. The good news for the G Hawks is that playing in the tough SW Yosemite River league could put them in D2.
PAGMETER PREDICTION GOLDEN HAWKS 37 MUSTANGS 7 (FINAL GOLDEN HAWKS 31 MUSTANGS 7)
SOUTHWEST YOSEMITE – VALLEY
BAKERSFIELD CHRISTIAN EAGLES (3-3) (1-0) at BAKERSFIELD DRILLERS (3-3) (0-1)
Who would have thought that just a short time ago that the Drillers owned Bakersfield.
Can the Eagles slow down Brison Abbott who rushed for 214 yards, scored 3 TDs on 24 carries in the win over Edison 41-21. The Eagles shutout Tulare Western 21-0.
PAGMETER PREDICTION EAGLES 23 DRILLERS 20 (FINAL EAGLES 34 DRILLERS 32)
TRI-COUNTY – KINGS CANYON
KINGSBURG VIKINGS (5-1) (1-0) at WASHINGTON UNION PANTHERS (2-4) (0-1)
The Panthers with a nice road win in OT beating Coalinga 21-20. Ryan Brown had a 69 yard Pick 6, outstanding LB Kado Felder had a pick along with Jayden Sweazy.
The Vikings defense got beat up in the loss to Tulare Union 42-12.
This is a very interesting game because the Vikings are much better than last Friday. I will bet that Vikings Head Coach Dave Wilson and his staff will use last week’s loss as a learning lesson. For the Panthers, a loss is not a bad thing because it will get them closer to D3..
PAGMETER PREDICTION VIKINGS 27 PANTHERS 24 (FINAL VIKINGS 13 PANTHERS 6)
TRAC
CLOVIS COUGARS (5-1) (1-0) at CENTRAL GRIZZLIES (4-2) (0-1)
Both teams come in at 4-1 after the break. The Cougars have been practicing very early in the morning so we will see if it pays off. The body clock is a tough thing to figure out.
You have two outstanding QBs with Cougars Deagan Rose vs Grizzlies Earl Riley IV.
The Grizzlies have the big advantage playing at home. The Cougars might be napping at halftime getting up so early. For the Grizzlies to have a chance to win the TRAC, they must stop turning the ball over. Can the Cougars defense step up?
PAGMETER PREDICTION GRIZZLIES 40 COUGARS 25 (FINAL COUGARS 38 GRIZZLIES 37 OT)
CLOVIS NORTH BRONCOS (6-0) (1-0) vs CLOVIS EAST T WOLVES (5-1) (0-1)
This is the most talked about game of the year and we are only at the halfway point of the regular season.
It’s the two top undefeated teams in the Central Section.
It’s the power running attack of the Broncos vs the speedy T Wolves.
If you listen to the PAGMETER Twitter Spaces show after the games on Friday night, the chatting goes on for hours on who will win this game.
I have this feeling that CN vs CE will meet again on Nov 17 Semifinals, or on Nov 24 Championship Friday.
Leading the Broncos is the best offensive line in the Central Section along 3 of the best RB’s with juniors Jackson Cinfel, McKay Madsen and senior Andrew Chavez. The QB is Mr steady with senior QB Mario Cosma.
The T Wolves will lead with junior QB Ty Miller who is the Drew Brees of the Central Section. Ty is having an MVP type year. Ty’s favorite targets are juniors Harold Duvall and Tommy Nix.
Last year the T Wolves beat the Broncos 38-35 on a Ty Miller 40-yard Hail Mary pass with 10 seconds to go.
Some big X factors, can the T Wolves match up with the Broncos power running game? Since teams don’t hit much any longer at practice like the old days during the week, it’s hard to get a feel on what is about to happen at the line of scrimmage on Friday night. You can watch all the CN video you want but until you witness it live, you have no idea what is about to happen. The T Wolves average giving up 20 points per game and now face a dinosaur offense and because most teams spread it out, it will make it that much more difficult to prepare for.
Remember, the Pagmeter says they could meet again in the playoffs and that will help the T wolves once they get a look at the Broncos offense. What’s nice about OC Vince Branstetter’s Broncos offense is the Broncos are dangerous throwing the ball.
The other big x factor, can the Broncos defense stay with the speedy spread attack of the T Wolves? The Broncos defense front must make Ty Miller uncomfortable because he’s so accurate. The T Wolves are dangerous on both sides of the ball and this is the best team that the T Wolves have had since the Tim Murphy days in the early 2000’s.. This team has speed everywhere with an offense that can score on any play and Murphs offenses back when the T Wolves were the Wing T Kings couldn’t throw it over hand.

CLOVIS WEST GOLDEN EAGLES (5-1) (1-0) at BUCHANAN BEARS (2-4) (0-1)
The big talk is CN vs CE and very few are talking about the big rivalry of the Golden Eagles vs the Bears.
It looks like the Golden Eagles are going to unleash one the best QBs in the Central Section full time with Tyler Patrick. As you all know the Golden Eagles have been rotating so maybe the Golden Eagles have decided since they were one of the favorites to play on Championship Friday with one of the most talented teams in Valley history, they better take this thing way more seriously. Can the Bears slow down the best Wide Receivers in the state with Landon Wright Marshel Sanders and Jonavon Darrington?
For the Bears to pull off the huge win, they must pound the ball with a big physical offensive line and play action passing with QB Logan Sanchez. The Bears have to hang around heading into the 4th quarter. The young Bullard Knights did a tremendous job pounding the ball right at CW and almost pulled off the upset and the Bears are much better than the Knights.
Clovis West is very dangerous and can score on any play. The Bears must get some turnovers and can’t give up the big play.

SOUTHWEST YOSEMITE – VALLEY
HIGHLAND SCOTS (2-4) (0-1) at INDEPENDENCE FALCONS (3-3) (1-0)
This will be a battle of two even teams. This game comes down to turnovers and which offense has the better night. Can the Falcons catch fire again like they did last year in the 2nd half of the season?
PAGMETER PREDICTION FALCONS 29 SCOTS 23 (FINAL FALCONS 21 SCOTS 20)
You are a fool when it comes to the Arax firing. Sounds like you just got done having drinks with Arax at the Lime Light on the Bullard boosters expense again. Arax has been quickly taking this football program in the wrong direction. They couldn’t compete inD1 anymore because no one wants to play for Arax. He is a jerk to the players. He inherited a championship middle school football program 3 years ago and very few of those boys are left. All leaving for new coaching. He went from having to drop down to D2 to win his championship to now losing to everyone on the D2 schedule. He barely has enough players on the sideline and most starters have to play both ways. You are wrong about the parents supporting Arax as well. There were rumors in the stands that there would be “fire the coach” t shirts made for the parents to wear to the games.
The good news for you is you got your wish. Congratulations and best of luck with your new ERA of Bullard football 🏈
Goes to show how poor of a journalist you actually are. I never said I wished Arax was gone. I simply commented on your flawed and biased article. My comment obviously hurt your feelings since you decided to assume things that weren’t stated. Maybe that is why you have such a difficult time writing a quality article. Good luck on your career as a journalist. ✍️
I don’t know how you can say Clovis North or Clovis East for that matter, are better than the reigning state champs, they never even played, and now, your just assuming.I saw the highlight footage from the Clovis North/ Serra game, and I thought to myself, where’s the run D ?, Serra has two loses, the only lose San Margarita has is a lose to Cenntenial Corona, by 13 points, to an “ Open Division Program “, Liberty played there brains out against San Margarita and only allowed 6 points in the second half, of a 9th ranked opponent, so, if I were you, I would do some better research, before I made such statements, maybe seeing what happens in a few weeks. I read your posts, figured out one thing, your bias towards Kern county teams, you know and praise more of the Northern teams more, well, I didn’t know if you knew this or not, but Kern County years ago,was created out of two County’s LA and Tulare, they gave up land they didn’t want, thus Kern County was created, Kids here play hard nosed football, with a chip on there shoulder, because they have to prove to the other schools, up north, and down south, we are worth, we may not win them all, but you play a Kern County school, you’ll know you’ve been in a fight. In Kern County, schools pride them selves in playing hard nose D, and Liberty, I believe does it best.
