Hunter rushed for 440 yards and scored 6 TD’s in the win over Riverdale.
Hunter broke his own school record he broke last week when he rushed for 364 yards and tied his TD record AGAIN with 6 tying Alex Puga 2015 and Howard Pharis 1929.
In 4 games, Hunter leads the Central Section in rushing with 1,251 yards and has scored 17 TDs. The Blue Raiders as a team rushed for 670 yards and a school record.

Deagan threw for 356 yards and 5 TD passes in the win over Salinas 38-0.

QB EARL RILEY from the CENTRAL GRIZZLIES
Earl threw for 356 yards and 5 TDs in the win over Bishop Diego 48-28.

QB DIEGO HERNANDEZ from the INDEPENDENCE FALCONS
Diego had a night rushing for 112 yards on 12 carries, scored on a 47 yard TD run, went 8-11 passing for 134 yards and 2 TDs in the win over South 35-20

QB BUBBA SMITH from the FOWLER REDCATS
Bubba threw for 452 yards and 6 TD passes in the win over Minarets 59-20. Bubba also kicked a 47-yard Field Goal.

QB KANE COOKS from the ATASCADERO GREYHOUNDS
Kane threw for 187 yards with 3 TD passes and rushed for 167 yards and scored a TD in the win over Alvarez (Salinas) 49-28.

NON-LEAGUE
MEMORIAL PANTHERS (1-4) at BUCHANAN BEARS (2-3)
The Panthers were shutout on Saturday by Marin Catholic 40-0 and the Bears played Liberty very tough in the loss 35-30.
Panthers junior QB Jaylen “Showtime” Patterson has left the building and is no longer at Memorial. Patterson was injured during the Central game slicing his hand and got 9 stitches in his throwing hand. He practiced this week and was not feeling the SJM love so Mom & Dad took him out of SJM. The Panthers will go wildcat with senior WR Jordan Colbert at QB this week. What the heck is going on at SJM? So many have transferred out this year. Have the Panthers hit rock bottom with recruiting or is this normal with private schools?
Looks like Showtime is taking his show back home to LA. There’s two sides to every story. The Patterson’s didn’t feel the love from SJM and SJM is saying “we gave a lot of time to showtime and for him to quit on the team is wrong”.
Last year’s backup QB senior Pierce Delport might be back on the team very soon after quitting the team. Pierce definitely wasn’t feeling the love after putting in so much time to the program but when Showtime showed up, Pierce was told you are not our guy at QB. Stay tuned.
Look for the Bears to roll in a big way. SJM is just trying to survive the death march schedule and hope they can win 2 more games to qualify for the division 2 playoffs. This game will get ugly in a hurry.

The Panthers come in losing to Sierra Pacific 52-0. The Panthers had some team suspensions and it’s great to see a team doing the right thing and working to make kids better future people. The Panthers will be angry and will roll this week.

The Pirates beat Santa Maria 49-27. Sophomore QB Jude Pritchard threw for 226 yards and 4 TD passes. Daulton Beard caught 6 passes for 121 yards and 3 TDs, Nicky Vacca caught 3 passes for 105 yards and a TD.
The Royals defense is very good and should win at Cal Poly. The Pirates offense needs a huge game.

The Huskies offense is struggling and the Bucs offense is on fire.

CENTRAL VALLEY CHRISTIAN CAVALIERS (4-1) vs MISSION OAK HAWKS (4-1)
This has the makings of a shootout. It’s the speed and power of the Cavaliers vs the speedy Hawks.
Can the Hawks slow down senior RB Bryson Donelson who has rushed for 797 yards, scored 13 TDs, along with one of the best QBs in the Central Section that nobody knows about YET with senior Brent Kroeze.
The Hawks will lead with senior QB Danny Gonzalez who has thrown for 800 yards and 10 TD passes along with speedy WR Kenny Jackson.
The Cavaliers have played the tougher schedule. The Hawks might score some points but could struggle slowing down the Cavaliers offense.

CLOVIS COUGARS (4-1) vs BULLARD KNIGHTS (1-4)
The Cougars beat Salinas 38-0. The defense played outstanding. Deagan Rose threw for 356 yards and 5 TD passes.
The Knights had a 20-0 lead against Clovis West but couldn’t hold and lost a tough one 21-20. The Knights physically beat up the Golden Eagles and were about to score but fumbled and the Golden Eagles picked up the fumble and scored. A 14-point turn around.
This is one of the best rivals in the valley and it’s always a battle.

KERMAN LIONS (2-3) vs CLOVIS EAST T WOLVES (5-0)
The Lions lost a close one to Sunnyside 23-22. Sophomore QB Adrian Torres threw 2 TD passes and Joseph Tellez scored on a rushing TD.
The T Wolves beat Provo from Utah 41-24. QB Ty Miller threw for 399 yards, 4 TD passes and scored a TD. Tommy Nix caught 6 passes for 166 yards and 2 TDs. Harold Duvall and Aidan Wilson each caught a TD pass.
The Lions are playing with house money playing the T Wolves.

Both teams have played tough schedules and somebody is getting their first win of the year. Turnovers are killing the Lions so far this year.

CLOVIS WEST GOLDEN EAGLES (4-1) vs EDISON TIGERS (1-3)
The Golden Eagles trailed 20-0 and the Golden Eagles played tough in the 2nd half winning 21-20. QB Tyler Patrick threw a 75 yard TD pass to Jonavon Darrington, Tytus Dimmer returned a fumble 49 yards for a TD. Patrick scored on a 2-yard TD run which turned out to be the game winner in the 3rd quarter.
The Tigers beat El Diamante 21-7. The Tigers needed this win.
The Golden Eagles are struggling at running the football and the Tigers have struggled at slowing the running game down. Can the Tigers offense score enough to stay with the Golden Eagles? The Golden Eagles were heavy 21 point favorites over Lemoore and Bullard and had to pull out one point wins in each game.
The Golden Eagles have so many issues including continuing to rotate QBs with TP and their JV QB but should have enough to beat the Tigers.

GARZA GUARDIANS (2-3) at COALINGA HORNED (4-0)
This is a very interesting match up.
The Guardians lost in a shootout to Tulare Union 62-48. QB Caleb Matthews completed 32 passes for 493 yards and 5 TD passes.
The Toads beat Reedley 24-0. The defense dominated the line of scrimmage. QB Noah Tasi threw for 244 yards and 2 TDs.
The big X factor is the Guardians defense. Will it show up? This would be a huge win for the underdog Toads. The Guardians are favored by 19 points. Upset special. The town of Coalinga will be rocking with this game!

DINUBA EMPERORS (3-2) at WASHINGTON UNION PANTHERS (1-3)
This is a battle of 2 outstanding defenses.
The Emperors beat up Selma 49-7. Diego Tuttle rushed for 120 yards and scored 2 TDs. Christian Lopez rushed for 141 yards and scored a TD.
The Panthers had a bye after coming off a big shutout win over Torres 25-0.
The X factor is which offense steps up and can finish drives with points.

FRONTIER TITANS (5-0) at INDEPENDENCE FALCONS (2-3)
The Titans crushed Hanford 35-6. Malakhi Statler threw for 313 yards and 3 TD passes.The Titans dominated on both sides of the ball, with 6 sacks and forcing 2 fumbles. The Titans made a statement that their chips are all in playing in the big boy division of D1. With this silly playoff format where some teams will strategically lose at the perfect time to move down, not the Frontier Titans.They are in it to win it.
The Falcons are another dangerous team playing a tough schedule. Indy beat South 35-20. QB Diego Hernandez rushed for 112 yards on 12 carries, scored on a 47 yard TD run, went 8-11 passing for 134 yards and 2 TDs. Richard Gooden: 18 rushes for 112 yards, 1 TD.
Amarius Rowel: scored on a 62 yd TD run, picked off a pass, 6 tackles & 145 all purpose yards.
Mark Gonzalez: 6 receptions for 108 yards and 2 TDs.
If the Titans come in with a Bullpups hangover, the Falcons will make them pay. Win or lose, watch out for the Falcons by playoff time.

The Bullpups lost to Frontier 35-6 and the Rangers beat Tulare Western 17-6. The Rangers defense is good. The Rangers have played a much tougher schedule. Can the Bullpups defense step up this week? The winner of this game will be contending for a D1 spot. The Problem is there’s plenty of struggling D1/D2 teams like Bullard, Bakersfield, Garces, SJM, Edison that Redwood/Hanford might be playing in D1 anyway.

This is a great match up of the Scots outstanding offense vs the Panthers outstanding defense.

The back to back Central Section Champions & State Champions Liberty Patriots remain at No 1 on the PAGMETER until somebody in the Central Section can beat the Patriots or maybe if CN can beat state power JSerra.This is why computer rankings are stupid. Playing a state power Santa Margarita and then traveling to Buchanan takes a lot out of a team.
If the Grizzlies beat Liberty, they could be the No 1 team on Monday.
Grizzlies beat Bishop Diego 48-28. Head Coach Kyle Biggs must have had one heck of a halftime speech with the Grizzlies trailing 14-7 because the Grizzlies scored 41 points in the 2nd half. QB Earl Riley threw for 336 yards and 5 TDs, WR Braylen Hall caught 9 passes for 192 yards and scored 3 TDs. Sophomore RB Brandon Smith rushed for 113 yards and scored a TD.
The Patriots beat Buchanan 35-30. Mekhi Deluth rushed for 129 yards and scored 3 TDs. QB Cole O’Brien threw a 59-yard TD pass and scored on a 47-yard TD run.
This is a tough call because both teams are so streaky. Both teams have had issues with turnovers. It’s the speedy Grizzlies vs the power of the Patriots. This year if they played each other 10 times, it might be 5-5.

The Golden Hawks shutout Ridgeview 37-0. Senior QB Adam Copus went 21-26 passing for 290 yards, 2 TD passes and scored a TD. TE/WR Jaxton Santiago caught 9 passes for 193 yards and 2 TDs.
The Apaches beat Lemoore 42-13. Bryson Baker, Marshal Pittman, Izzy Robles and Jacob Neimeyer each scored TDs.
The X factor is on defense because both offenses are very good. To all the G Hawk fans, come hungry because the food at Chuck Shidan field is fantastic! Playing in Sanger is one of the best places to play in California. Enjoy!

The Bears beat Taft 19-6. The defense played their best game. RB Xavier Reynoso, RB Freddy Pulido and QB Andrew Rosales each scored on rushing TDs.
The Warriors beat Wasco 25-6. The defense played lights out all night long. Andrew Aguirre led the team with 19 tackles, followed by Leo Gonzalez with 12 tackles, Mike Jones with 11 tackles and Tanner Gary with 10 tackles and a sack. AJ Anderson rushed for 97 yards and scored 2 TDs.
The Bears are one of the most improved teams in the Central Section and the Warriors bring in one of their best teams in years. Can the Bears offense score enough to stay in this game?

WEST VIKINGS (1-2) at TEMPLETON EAGLES (3-1)
The Vikings come in winning their first game beating Mira Monte 28-14. Guy Vasquez rushed for 240 yards and scored 3 TDs.
The Eagles crushed Firebaugh 49-0. Eagles head Coach Don Crow played at West and was a huge part of that GREAT 1977 Valley Championship Vikings team. Mr Hall of Famer gets to coach against his old alma mater.

JSERRA LIONS (3-2) vs CLOVIS NORTH BRONCOS (5-0)
The State powerhouse Lions bring their show to the valley.
The private professional Lions are big, fast and physical.
The Broncos beat CVC 48-14. The defense stuffed the Cavaliers high powered offense. The Broncos rushed for 434 yards and scored 7 TDs. Juniors Jackson Cinfel rushed for 229 yards, scored 3 TDs and McKay Madsen rushed for 113 yards scored 3 TDs.
Can the Lions defense make the adjustments against the power running attack of the Broncos? It’s not easy when so many teams run the spread down south. The Broncos are old school and will want to kick your ass on the line of scrimmage. Can the Broncos defense slow down the state power? The Lions are big and speedy everywhere.
For the Broncos, they have to think like they are playing in the US open Tennis Championship and must hold serve. That means they can’t afford to be punting much because the Lions barely have a punt team. Can the Broncos defense force some big turnovers? There is only one team in the Central Section that can beat or hang with the Lions and that is the Clovis North Broncos.

EZ hit Sloan on a TD pass with 9 seconds left and the Italian Stallion Head Coach Pierucci went for the win and 2-point conversion. EZ hit Jesus Figueroa and the Cardiac kids did it again in a very personal game.
