BREAKING NEWS
Matty J and I are officially no longer doing the PAGMETER Show on Fox sports.
The powers that be tried to censure us from talking about Fresno State, good/bad/ugly.
If we are not free to be critical of things we see for our listeners, then what good is our show.
The PAGMETER show was #1 because we have the greatest audience and you the listeners love our banter, our entertaining hot topic style and of course we were never afraid to tackle the tough story that nobody else would talk about. We are just two guys talking sports, standing up for Coaches, AD’s, Players, Teams, and bringing back COMMON SENSE!
Stay tuned for great things coming very soon for the PAGMETER Show.
We would like to THANK our super team at Fox Sports and our beautiful listeners!
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THE PAGMETER WEBSITE THE GO TO FOR HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FINAL SCORES
DIVISION 3
No 10 SAN LUIS OBISPO TIGERS (8-3) vs No 7 MISSION OAK HAWKS (6-5)
PAGMETER LINE HAWKS -7
THE PAG FACTOR; What a way to start the playoffs with a great match up! This game has the makings to be a very good game and it could come down to the final minutes. The Hawks have lost 4 straight games and most were all blow outs and the Tigers have won 4 in a row. Give Head Coach Marty Martin a lot of credit with keeping the team fired up because high school kids are not good at getting crushed. Leading the Tigers is senior RB Luca Cuccaro who has rushed for 1,175 yards and has scored 14 TDs. The Tigers have rushed for 3000 yards as a team.
The Hawks will lead with Mr Everything junior Kenny Jackson who has caught 58 footballs from junior QB Danny Gonzalez who has thrown for 2,538 yards and 24 TD passes. The Hawks will do everything they can to get KJ the ball.
Can the Tigers defense slow down the speedy Hawks offense? Can the Hawks slow down the Tigers power running game? The Tigers can’t afford to give up the big play. The Hawks defense has struggled all year long but they are playing at home on a cold Thursday night.
PAGMETER PREDICTION HAWKS 30 TIGERS 23
FINAL HAWKS 30 TIGERS 25 (ALMOST NAILED IT)
DIVISION 4
No 11 FOWLER REDCATS (7-4) vs No 6 GARZA GUARDIANS (5-6)
PAGMETER LINE GUARDIANS -21
THE PAG FACTOR, The Redcats come in losing to Caruthers in the battle of the Red vs Blue game. The Guardians are playing in their first playoff game in school history. The young Guardians have played the much tougher schedule so we will see if this helps them in this game.
Both teams have very good young QBs with Redcats freshmen Jerod Bubba Smith and the Guardians have sophomore Caleb Matthews.
This game comes down to which defense can step up and make the big stops.
PAGMETER PREDICTION GUARDIANS 42 REDCATS 21
FINAL GUARDIANS 52 REDCATS 42 (GUARDIANS FIRST PLAYOFF WIN IN SCHOOL HISTORY)
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS FINAL SCORES
Join us on the PAGMETER TWITTER SPACES show Friday night at 10PM. We will chat about the first round games and get you ready for Thursday night Quarterfinals games.

DIVISION 1
No 12 REDWOOD RANGERS (8-3) at No 5 CENTRAL GRIZZLIES (7-4)
PAGMETER LINE GRIZZLIES -20
THE PAG FACTOR; This is an interesting match up in this one. The Rangers are red hot winning 8 straight games and the Grizzlies were hot but Clovis North cooled the Grizzlies off.
The Rangers run a semi Clovis North style of offense with a very good O-line but not as physical as the Broncos offense.
The Rangers would love to play in division 1 and hopefully they can schedule more non league division 1 games because playing in a division 2/division 3 league will never get the Rangers ready for the big boy speed and size of the D1 teams.
The Rangers running game is by committee and senior QB Frankie Alvarez needs a big game against a speedy Grizzlies.
Can the Rangers defense slow down the Grizzlies hot senior QB Dayton Tafoya who has thrown for 2,778 yards along with 32 TD passes?
The Grizzlies are a knockout team and they love to start fast and if the Rangers can avoid the Grizzlies great start, we got a ball game.
PAGMETER PREDICTION GRIZZLIES 40 RANGERS 24
FINAL CENTRAL 48 RANGERS 21
No 10 CENTENNIAL GOLDEN HAWKS (8-3) vs No 7 CLOVIS NORTH BRONCOS (7-4)
PAGMETER LINE BRONCOS -14
THE PAG FACTOR: The Broncos come in as the hottest team in the Central Section and they are kicking some butts on both sides of the ball. The Golden Hawks are big and will need to play their best game on both sides of the ball to have a great bus ride home.
Can the Broncos slow down G Hawks junior QB Adam Copus who will need a big game. Junior WR Jaxton Santiago has caught 49 passes and is Copus’ go-to WR.
Can the G Hawks slow down the Broncos physical running attack? You can watch all the films you want but until you see it live, it is so tough to slow down. Now if the G Hawks fully commit to stopping the run, then junior QB Mario Cosma needs to step up and hit the big pass. The Broncos are 6-4 for a reason and that because they will turn the ball over at the worst times.
PAGMETER PREDICTION BRONCOS 35 GOLDEN HAWKS 21
FINAL BRONCOS 40 GOLDEN HAWKS 7
No 9 GARCES RAMS (4-7) at No 8 CLOVIS COUGARS (5-6)
PAGMETER LINE RAMS -12
THE PAG FACTOR; the big question is can the Cougars defense slow down the Rams running attack? Can the Cougars get the Rams in 3rd and long situations because the Rams hate to throw the ball. Rams senior RB David Smith and Junior QB Jordan Gallegoz are on fire.
Cougars freshman QB Deagan Rose who has thrown for 2,087 yards and 21 TD passes is playing in his first of many playoff games and will need a big game vs the Rams defense that is very good.
PAGMETER PREDICTION RAMS 33 COUGARS 21
FINAL COUGARS 21 RAMS 20
No 11 CLOVIS EAST T WOLVES (6-5) at No 6 ST JOSEPH KNIGHTS (10-1)
PAGMETER LINE KNIGHTS -28
THE PAG FACTOR: The T Wolves had a tremendous non league season playing division 2 & division 3 teams but have struggled with the division 1 schedule. The T Wolves offense is definitely division 1 and the defense is division 2.
Can sophomore QB Ty Miller have a great game against the Knights defense that will give up points? CE needs to score on almost every drive to have a chance. NO PUNTING!
Can the Wolves stay with the Knights big and powerful Knights offense? The offensive line will be the biggest that CE will have seen. Senior dual-threat QB Darien Mensah can make plays like no other.
PAGMETER PREDICTION KNIGHTS 54 T WOLVES 28
FINAL KNIGHTS 41 T WOLVES 6
DIVISION 2
No 12 EDISON TIGERS (6-5) at No 5 BAKERSFIELD CHRISTIAN EAGLES (7-4)
PAGMETER LINE EAGLES -12
THE PAG FACTOR: Can the Tigers defense slow down the wide open attack of the Eagles?
The Tigers come in playing their best football and leading the way is their senior QB Ya’J Vance who has thrown for 2,772 yards and 26 TD passes.
The Eagles have been banged up and should have their best player senior WR/SS Bryson Waterman back this week.
PAGMETER PREDICTION EAGLES 37 TIGERS 27
FINAL EAGLES 22 TIGERS 21 OT
No 13 RIDGEVIEW WOLF PACK (5-6) at No 4 HANFORD BULLPUPS (8-3)
PAGMETER LINE BULLPUPS -21
THE PAG FACTOR: Both teams lately are very streaky. Will the Bullpups turn it back on like they played in the first half of the year? The Pack are playing their best football coming in.
Can the Bullpups slow down dual-threat QB Andres Rivera who is dangerous with the football and senior RB Zamir Hall who has rushed for 1,756 yards and 19 TDs.
Can the Wolf Pack defense slow down the up-tempo Bullpups offense with senior QB Cayden Muir leading the way who has thrown for 1,824 yards and 19 TDs in 8 games.
PAGMETER PREDICTION BULLPUPS 44 WOLF PACK 25
FINAL BULLPUPS 84 WOLF PACK 21
No 10 LOMPOC BRAVES (7-4) at No 7 FRONTIER TITANS (7-4)
PAGMETER LINE TITANS -3
THE PAG FACTOR: Can the Titans slow down the outstanding Braves offense?
Leading the Braves is 4 year starting QB Cavin Ross who has thrown for 2,924 yards and 39 TD passes.
The Titans offense is led by junior QB Malakhi Statler who has thrown for 2,735 yards and 23 TDs.
The Braves defense needs a big game to advance. This is a tough call because the Titans have played the tougher schedule. Which defense will make the huge 3rd down stops?
PAGMETER PREDICTION TITANS 34 BRAVES 33
FINAL TITANS 49 BRAVES 26
No 9 PASO ROBLES BEARCATS (7-4) No 8 SANGER APACHES (6-5)
PAGMETER LINE APACHES -3
THE PAG FACTOR; This has the makings to be the best game of the night.
The Bearcats have won 604 career games, the 22nd winnest team in California and the Apaches have won 574 career games and 34th winnest team in California.
The Big X factor is on the defensive side of the ball. Can the Bearcats slow down senior RB Jacob Gonzalez and can the Apaches slow down senior RB Leo Kemp?
Which offense can make the big play on 3rd down and pick up the big first down and keep the drive going? Which team will win the battle up front on the line of scrimmage? This will be a very physical game. This game could come down to the final minutes. To the Bearcats fans that are making the trip to Sanger, you will love the experience at Chuck Shidan Field.
PAGMETER PREDICTION APACHES 27 BEARCATS 24
FINAL APACHES 21 BEARCATS 0
No 11 DINUBA EMPERORS (5-6) at No 6 WASHINGTON UNION PANTHERS (8-3)
PAGMETER LINE PANTHERS -3
THE PAG FACTOR: This is a rematch from week 5 and the Panthers held on for a 13-12 win. Panthers kicker Carlos Bojorquez nailed 2 big field goals and the game winning extra point.
The matchup will be QB CJ Hernendez and the Emperors offense vs the Panthers hot defense? The Emperors have played the tougher schedule but the Panthers are at home. This game could come down to the final minutes. This game could come down to the final minutes.
PAGMETER PREDICTION PANTHERS 23 EMPERORS 20
FINAL PANTHERS 15 EMPERORS 13
DIVISION 3
No 9 ARROYO GRANDE EAGLES (5-6) at No 8 CHAVEZ TITANS (6-5)
PAGMETER LINE TITANS -3
THE PAG FACTOR; Can the Titans slow down the red hot Eagles offense? The Titans offense needs a big night. This is a tough call because there are so many factors in this game.
Can the Eagles slow down Titans RB Israel Gonzalez? The Titans can’t win this game in a shootout.
PAGMETER PREDICTION EAGLES 27 TITANS 25
FINAL EAGLES 27 TITANS 20
No 13 HIGHLAND SCOTS (4-7) at No 4 KENNEDY THUNDERBIRDS (8-2)
PAGMETER LINE THUNDERBIRDS -14
THE PAG FACTOR: This is a rematch from week 3 when the Scots beat the Birds 25-21. Scots RB Adrian Juarez rushed for 143 yards and scored 3 TDs.
Since week 3, the Birds defense is playing at a lights out level and the Scots are very streaky.
PAGMETER PREDICTION THUNDERBIRDS 30 SCOTS 14
FINAL THUNDERBIRDS 21 SCOTS 7
No 12 SANTA YNEZ PIRATES (5-6) at No 5 KERMAN LIONS (7-4)
PAGMETER LINE LIONS -6
THE PAG FACTOR; The Pirates come in with a 3 game losing streak and the Pirates defense needs a big game on the road. Can the Pirates slow down Lions QB senior Ashton Chalabian?
The Pirates offense is good and leading the way is senior QB Luke Gildred who has thrown for 2,466 yards and 24 TDs. Which defense will play better?
PAGMETER PREDICTION LIONS 34 PIRATES 30
FINAL LIONS 49 PIRATES 3
No 15 INDEPENDENCE FALCONS (4-6) vs No 2 PORTERVILLE PANTHERS (9-2)
PAGMETER LINE PANTHERS -21
THE PAG FACTOR:The young Falcons who are the defending division 4 section champions take on the red hot Panthers defense. If the Panthers offense is clicking, they will roll.
PAGMETER PREDICTION PANTHERS 33 FALCONS 13
FINAL FALCONS 28 PANTHERS 7
No 14 MT WHITNEY PIONEERS (4-7) at No 3 TEHACHAPI WARRIORS (10-1)
PAGMETER LINE WARRIORS -9
THE PAG FACTOR: The snow has hit in Tehachapi and that makes it a big time home field advantage. That means we finally have football weather!!
This could be a grind it out game. Can the very good Pioneers defense slow down junior RB AJ Anderson who has rushed for 1,386 yards, scored 16 TDs? Can the Pioneers offense score enough to stay in this game? The Pioneers defense gets after it.
PAGMETER PREDICTIONS WARRIORS 20 PIONEERS 10
FINAL WARRIORS 37 PIONEERS 14
No 11 SUNNYSIDE WILDCATS (9-2) at No 6 TULARE UNION TRIBE (4-7)
PAGMETER LINE TRIBE -9
THE PAG FACTOR:This is a couple of outstanding offenses getting after it.
The Wildcats are the NYL Champions and they lead with sophomore QB Tanner Wilson who broke Central Grizzlies Trent Tomkins single season record for passing yards with 3,465 along with 40 TD passes. The Wildcats receivers are very good with sophomores C.J. Jones (83 receptions, 1,133 yards, 13 TDs) Malachi Barnes (67 receptions, 927 yards, 11 TDs) and senior Sonjay Burton (40 receptions, 847 yards, 11 TDs).
The Tribe will lead with freshmen QB Jordan Crisp who can throw it and run you over.
Can the Wildcats defense slow down the physical Tribe offense? The Wildcats played in a horrible NYL league and were never challenged and the Tribe has played a much tougher schedule. The Wildcats have been coasting for 5 weeks so they might as well try to break the passing record to keep them motivated so when you have the all time passing leader on your team, you better win at least the first playoff game.
PAGMETER PREDICTION UPSET SPECIAL WILDCATS 36 TRIBE 28
FINAL WILDCATS 41 TRIBE 22
DIVISION 4
No 14 MADERA COYOTES (3-7) at No 3 CARUTHERS BLUE RAIDERS (8-2)
PAGMETER LINE BLUE RAIDERS -21
THE PAG FACTOR;It’s the wounded Coyotes vs the red hot Blue Raiders.
The Madera administration loves that the Coyotes play in the CMAC but with 3 schools in Madera, playing against the tough CMAC teams and with a 12 year CMAC record of 2-50, it will never get better. That means in the new world we live in, kids and parents hate getting clobbered week after week and will transfer out. The young Coyotes are being gutted as we speak. The Coyotes come in beat up after playing in the CMAC. Every team in division 4 would also not win a game in the CMAC.
The Coyotes will face a small school powerhouse which is led by junior RB Hunter Babb who has rushed for 1,198 yards and has scored 17 TDs. Senior QB Collin Hirschkorn has thrown 23 TD passes and senior leader TE/DE Landon Almeida.
Maybe after this game the Madera administration can see across the field of how much fun the Blue Crew is having along with playing a schedule that fits them.

No 15 SOUTH REBELS (3-8) at No 2 TAFT WILDCATS (9-2)
PAGMETER LINE -WILDCATS -10
THE PAG FACTOR:The Rebels are red hot winning 3 straight and have plenty of athletes.
The Wildcats are also on fire on defense and leading the way is senior RB/LB Cyris Gaylord who is a stud on both sides of the ball.
Side note, South High school administration got caught up in the corrupt Woke world and has changed their mascot name to the Spartans. Wait…what!! This is simply pathetic and weak from the administration from not standing up for the long South Rebel tradition because if you look back at the history books, the Spartans were ruthless killers. Why didn’t South go real soft like being called the South Sea Otters? South Squirrels? There’s plenty of Squirrels around the campus. How bout the South Snakes? Anything but the Spartans!!
PAGMETER PREDICTION WILDCATS 28 REBELS/SPARTANS 21

FINAL PANTHERS 28 HIGHLANDERS 12
No 14 WEST VIKINGS (3-8) at No 3 DOS PALOS BRONCOS (6-5)
PAGMETER LINE BRONCOS -20
THE PAG FACTOR:The Vikings have had a horrible year and can make up for it with a good playoff run.The Broncos got behind early last week in the loss to Coalinga and probably thought, if we lose we will play in division 5 where they belong. Last year the undefeated Broncos got screwed and had to play in division 2. This year is a make up.
Can the Vikings slow down junior QB Peyton Van Worth and the Broncos offense?
PAGMETER PREDICTION BRONCOS 40 VIKINGS 20
FINAL BRONCOS 45 VIKINGS 13

Can the Stallions slow down the Saints offense that will come at you with plenty of different formations. Leading the way is junior QB Josue Elena who has thrown for 1,766 yards and 14 TDs. Josue’s favorite WR is Malachai Jordan who has caught 63 passes.
Can the Saints slow down the running game of Seniors RB’s Angelo “Thunder” Moreno and Erik “Lightning” Cervantes?
The Stallions can barely throw it over hand and the Saints will throw all over the hard. This game could come down to the final minutes.
PAGMETER PREDICTION STALLIONS 30 SAINTS 25

PAGMETER LINE EAGLES -3
THE PAG FACTOR; The Rough Riders get their 3rd win in week 11 to qualify for the tournament. The first 7 losses were very confusing with the offense and the last 3 wins they started running the ball more with a big offensive line.
The Eagles are a young physical team and want to run down hill with seniors RBs Landen Miller, Dylan Kriling and junior Wyatt Ramey.
PAGMETER PREDICTION EAGLES 27 ROUGH RIDERS 24

THE PAG FACTOR: Both teams have had injuries all year long and both are semi healthy.
Don’t go by the 3-7 Lions record because they have played a killer schedule. Leading the Lions are RBs Damian Cruz and Jonathan Chavez. Keep an eye on WR Damraeya Cooks who is fast and upfront on both sides of the ball is 6 ‘5 350 Anthony Romero.
The Aztecs lead with senior dual-threat QB Cejaa Ceja along with Jesse Rodriquez and Chris Mejia.Which defense will step up?
