THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FINAL SCORES
Most Games are 7pm kickoff. Let us know if that changes.
LIBERTY MADERA HAWKS (2-0) vs SANGER WEST HORNETS (0-2) at Chuck Shidan Field
PAGMETER LINE HAWKS RUNNING CLOCK
The Hawks come into Thursday night beating Mendota 34-14. Caleb Sisco scored 3 TDs, the Italian Stallion Vince Oberti rushed for 105-yards, scored a TD and MItchel Whaley scored a TD. The Hawks started slow and because they were in great shape, they wore down the Aztecs. The Hornets had to play big brother and it was ugly. This year is a learning year for Hornets football. The Hornets are a JV team playing against varsity teams.
The PAG factor the Hawks are much too physical upfront for the young Hornets.
PAGMETER PREDICTION HAWKS RUNNING CLOCK
FINAL SCORE LIBERTY MADERA 47 SANGER WEST 7
MENDOTA AZTECS (0-2) at MCLANE HIGHLANDERS (1-1)
PAGMETER LINE AZTECS -1
Both teams played tough but came up short in their opener.
This has the makings to be a very good game and could come down to the final minutes or overtime. These teams are so even! I GOT THIS PART CORRECT. ONCE IT GOES OT, ALL BETS ARE OFF.
The PAG factor is which offense can finish drives with points?
PAGMETER PREDICTION AZTECS 27 HIGHLANDERS 25
FINAL HIGHLANDERS 20 AZTECS 14 OVERTIME
MIRA MONTE LIONS (1-1) at BORON BOBCATS (1-1)
The Cat Bowl
PAGMETER LINE BOBCATS -1
The Lions lost a tough one to Delano 33-29 and the Bobcats shut out Foothill 8-0.
The PAG factor it’s the Lions offense vs the Cats defense. The Lions are banged up coming in and if they were healthy, the PAGMETER would take the road team. The YOUNG LIONS STEPPED UP FOR THE INJURED LIONS.
PAGMETER PREDICTION LIONS 13 BOBCATS 10
FINAL LIONS 12 BOBCATS 8 (BIG WIN FOR THE LIONS)
Damian Cruz scored both Lions TDs
SOUTH REBELS (0-2) vs PORTERVILLE PANTHERS (2-0)
PAGMETER LINE REBELS PANTHERS -14
The big matchup is the Rebels speedy offense vs the physical Panthers defense. THE PANTHERS PHYSICAL D KICKED ASS!
The PAG factor: the Rebels defense vs the Panthers offense and they need to step up this week. If the O steps up, look for the Panthers to win. THEY SURE STEP UP!
PAGMETER PREDICTION PANTHERS 30 REBELS 14
FINAL PANTHERS 49 REBELS 0 (IT’S OFFICIAL, THE PANTHERS ARE REAL GOOD!)
REDWOOD RANGERS (0-2) vs CLOVIS NORTH BRONCOS (1-1)
PAGMETER LINE BRONCOS -1
The Rangers played Centennial tough but lost in the 4th quarter. Way too many turnovers. QB Frankie Alvarez threw for 181-yards and a TD pass, running back Alex Perch scored a TD, WR Moses Burk, caught 7 balls for 99 yards, S Rio Sanchez made 9 tackles, forced fumble & had a fumble recovery, LB Noe Viveros made 8 tackles. The Broncos got steamrolled against a very good SJM team.
The Rangers defense got beat plenty of times with long paases but the good news for the Rangers is the Broncos passing game is struggling. The Broncos are still looking for a QB with Dean Scribner or Mario Cosma. They could rotate again this week. Broncos are beat up with injuries with sophomore RB McKay Madsen is out for about a month with a shoulder injury. Outstanding TE Brayden Bitter is doubtful with a Hamstring.
The PAG factor: Both teams played horrible on offense in week 1. The Rangers defense vs the Broncos running attack. Can the Broncos defense slow down the Rangers offense? The Broncos could try to throw the ball after seeing the Rangers defense. The Rangers passing game wasn’t pretty with forcing way too many passes into good coverage. With the schedules getting tougher both teams need a win and don’t want to go 0-2. Both teams will be in division 2 at the end of the year so a loss is not the end of the world. The Broncos are the favorite but if the Rangers can play some defense…This is a tough call because I don’t know what offense will show up. Look for both teams to pound the football. THEY SURE DID.
PAGMETER PREDICTION RANGERS 28 BRONCOS 27
FINAL BRONCOS 17 RANGERS 16

Jamie Moran nails a 29-yard field goal with 48 seconds to go.
REEDLEY PIRATES (2-0) vs ROOSEVELT ROUGH RIDERS (0-1)
PAGMETER LINE PIRATES -13
The Pirates come into Sunnyside Stadium beating Firebaugh 34-12. Kahlil Yahlong scored on a 94 yard interception return and a 75 yard TD run to seal the game. Logan Moreno rushed for 34 yards on 7 carries and scored 2 TDs.
The Rough Riders open up the year with a new head coach Dwayne Wright. Leading the Riders will be senior RB Ulysses Diaz. The new QB will be junior Jackson Kloster who just transferred in from Clovis. Jackson has had 2 weeks to learn the offense.
The PAG factor Riders are the mystery team with a new head coach, a new offense, a new QB, a new everything and if you are the Pirates, you will have to lead with Pirates physical football. THE PIRATES TOOK CARE OF BUSINESS
PAGMETER PREDICTION PIRATES 34 ROUGH RIDERS 25
FINAL PIRATES 26 ROUGH RIDERS 16

The Pirates had 363 total yards. 289 rushing. Logan Moreno rushed 12 carries for 90 yards and 1 TD. Zach Lampa rushed for 103 yards on 10 carries and scored a TD. Devon Heinrichs had 2 INT’s and one went for a pick-6.

The Bears are already red hot after beating up Bakersfield 56-3. Bears QB Jayden Mandal threw 4 TD passes. Michael Runnels scored on TD runs of 42 and 70 yards. Tybo Rogers did not play but it wouldn’t have mattered. The Bears defense is good once again.
The Mustangs traveled and beat Damonte Ranch 43-29. Senior RB Ryker Peters rushed for 227-yards and scored 5 TDs.
The PAG factor can the Bears defense slow down Peters and a very good offensive line? Look for Mandal and the Bears offense to have a good night.
PAGMETER PREDICTION BEARS 28 MUSTANGS 21
FINAL BEARS 41 MUSTANGS 40
HANFORD BULLPUPS (2-0) vs BUHACH COLONY THUNDER (1-1)

The Thunder went on the road and shut out the Gregori Jaguars 19-0. Senior RB Jaxson Percoats rushed for 127 yards, Kallin Frade returned the opening kickoff for a TD.
The PAG factor now that the Bullpups are in division 1 for the rest of the year, this is the kind of game they need to win. The Thunder defense is much better than the Knights defense. The Thunder are a downhill running attack but will throw it if needed. Can the Bullpups defense slow the rundown? Senior QB Muir needs to be the Bullpups leader on the road.
PAGMETER PREDICTION BULLPUPS 30 THUNDER 20
FINAL BULLPUPS 66 THUNDER 22
ATWATER FALCONS (1-1) vs CLOVIS EAST T WOLVES (2-0)

The PAG factor the Falcons are much better than last year but so is the T Wolves. Can the T Wolves defense step up this week? Just like last year, look for the T Wolves to start fast.
PAGMETER PREDICTION T WOLVES 37 FALCONS 23
FINAL T WOLVES 52 FALCONS 21
EAST BLADES (0-2) at GOLDEN VALLEY BULLDOGS (1-1)
PAGMETER LINE BULLDOGS -18
The Blades played a good game and lost a tough one to Santa Maria in the last 3 seconds. The Bulldogs lost and got torched by the Sunnyside passing attack.
The PAG factor is a huge game because nobody wants to go 0-2.
PAGMETER PREDICTION BULLDOGS 29 BLADES 13
FINAL BULLDOGS 28 BLADES 7
TURLOCK BULLDOGS (1-1) vs CLOVIS WEST GOLDEN EAGLES (2-0)
PAGMETER LINE GOLDEN EAGLES -14
This is a great matchup of the North valley vs the Central valley.
In week 1 the Bulldogs upset Rocklin 14-7. QB Cole Gilbert went 13-18 for 204-yards, threw a 32-yard TD pass to Logan Bankson and scored on a 1-yard TD run. The Bulldogs defense stuffed Rocklin all night long.
The Golden Eagles beat up Ridgeview 42-0. Before the running clock, Tyler Patrick threw for 222-yards and 2 TD passes. (Landon Wright 43-yard & Jordan Pierro 45-yards). RB Aidan Fortenberry rushed for 83-yards and scored 2 TDs.
The PAG factor is the Bulldogs physical defense vs the speedy Golden Eagles offense. Will the Bulldogs be ready for the Golden Eagles after beating Rocklin? The Golden Eagles win over a good Turlock team will make a statement and could be 5-0 heading into the Buchanan game. Can the Golden Eagles defense slow down Bulldogs QB Gilbert? Will this be the breakout game for the Golden Eagles and show the state that they are the real deal?
PAGMETER PREDICTION GOLDEN EAGLES 35 TURLOCK 17
FINAL GOLDEN EAGLES 48 BULLDOGS 0
ARVIN BEARS (0-2) at SHAFTER GENERALS (2-0)
PAGMETER LINE GENERALS -28

The Generals Head Coach Pierucci said “we are so young and probably a year away” and I fell for it because the Vikings returned so many and Boy was I wrong on last week’s prediction. The young Generals are very good and play physical football.
The PAG factor the Bears will not have enough offense.
PAGMETER PREDICTION GENERALS 34 ARVIN 6
FINAL GENERALS 20 BEARS 19
BAKERSFIELD CHRISTIAN EAGLES (1-1) at ST JOSEPH KNIGHTS (2-0)
PAGMETER LINE KNIGHTS -21
The Eagles played outstanding last week beating Mission Prep 35-9. The Eagles defense is very physical and has an outstanding running attack. . Nathan Perez and David Bonales are the perfect combo in the backfield. Perez scored 3 TDs, including a 55-yard backwards lateral for a TD. QB Jordan Delgado hit Bryson Waterman on a 70-yard TD pass and Shaine Heriford on a 77 yard TD pass.
The Knights beat Palos Verdes 19-16 and played horrible with 24 penalties. Senior QB Darian Mensah threw for 206 passing yards, 63 rushing yards and scored the game winning 9-yard TD with 20 seconds to go. St Joes didn’t play well but a win is a win.
The PAG factor is the Eagles are sound on both sides of the ball and can the Knights show up and clean up the mistakes? This should be a great game!!
PAGMETER PREDICTION KNIGHTS 28 EAGLES 7
FINAL KNIGHTS 38 EAGLES 7
TULARE WESTERN MUSTANGS (1-1) vs BULLARD KNIGHTS (1-1)
PAGMETER LINE KNIGHTS -12
The Mustangs beat El Diamante 31-13. Carmine Ficher (28-46) threw for 359 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Knights got beat up by Hanford 41-22. The defending division 2 champions are very young.
The PAG factor the Mustangs will be fired up playing at famous Ratcliffe stadium and the Knights have to play another team with a tremendous QB. Can the Mustangs offense handle the Knights outside pressure with Kyle Hughes and Elijah Eason? The Knights are a work in progress on offense. Sophomore QB Josh Madrigal threw his first varsity TD pass to TE Kyle Hughes and Josh will only get better and better with every snap he takes. With the tough schedule, the Knights are looking at Division 2 again.
The Knights offense has to play much better this week or it will be 0-2. The Mustangs will want to spread it out and throw it all over the yard. Against Hanford, the Knights were out of gas and the Bullpups took advantage. The Mustangs are not a running offense so look for Ficher to throw quickly.
The Mustangs offense is much better than the Knights offense and the Knights defense is better than the Mustangs defense. The only problem is the Mustangs are not a running team and the Knights defense will bring plenty of pressure.
PAGMETER PREDICTION KNIGHTS 30 MUSTANGS 18
FINAL KNIGHTS 53 MUSTANGS 7
CABRILLO CONQUISTADORES (2-0) at NIPOMO TITANS (0-2)
PAGMETER LINE CONQUISTADORS -5
The Conquistadors snap their long 37 game losing streak beating Nordhoff 50-19 and already like being in the Central Section. The players were tired of hearing that the old teams hadn’t won a game since 2017 and they came out and kicked ass.
The Titans were shut out by San Luis Obispo 35-0.
The PAG factor, can the Titans cut out the mistakes from last week because Cabrillo likes how it feels to win..
PAGMETER PREDICTION CONQUISTADORES 10 TITANS 6

The PAG factor can the Eagles forget about that bad loss and can the Eagles offense keep up with a good Centennial team? The weather will be PERFECT!
PAGMETER PREDICTION GOLDEN HAWKS 34 EAGLES 20
GOLDEN HAWKS 39 ARROYO GRANDE 7
COALINGA HORNED TOADS (1-1) at TEMPLETON EAGLES (0-1)

The Eagles had a bye last week. The Eagles will be young but experienced after starting 12 sophomores last year.
The PAG factor is the Toads running game didn’t work last week with -34 yards rushing and can the Toads run against the Eagles defense? Can the young Toads slow down the Eagles Wing T?
PAGMETER PREDICTION EAGLES 26 TOADS 20
FINAL TOADS 39 EAGLES 15

The Miners lost to Tulare Western 31-13. The Miners could not slow down the TW passing attack. The Tribe lost to a new and improved Mt Whitney Pioneers team 29-16. The Tribe with 5 big turnovers.
The PAG factor can the Tribe fix all the mistakes and win at home. They sure better or the season could get away from them. The Miners offense will get better and better but right now it’s a work in progress.
PAGMETER PREDICTION TRIBE 27 MINERS 13
FINAL TRIBE 43 MINERS 29

The Monarchs lost to Strathmore 18-12 in a defensive battle. Senior running back Matthew Howell went out with a shoulder injury early in the game.
The PAG factor will be a battle of 2 very good defenses so which offense can step up this week?

The PAG factor: the Redcats are big, physical and need to get back to the running game. If the Cats are going to be successful, they need to pound it with a very good O-line and RBs Hector Hernandez and Johnny Mendez.

PAGMETER PREDICTION SCOTS 30 WARRIORS 23
FINAL WARRIORS 48 SCOTS 18
KINGSBURG VIKINGS (2-0) at SUNNYSIDE WILDCATS (1-1)
PAGMETER LINE Vikings -12
WOW what a match up. The Vikings outstanding defense vs the Wildcats outstanding offense.
The Vikings beat Paso Robles 35-0. Trace Jackson rushed for 139-yards and scored a TD. QB Ethan Winslow threw 3 TD passes, Conner McFall (30 yards, Caleb Irgoyen 18-yards, Jack Rogers 20-yards) and Ryan Martinez returned a punt 80-yards for a TD.
The Wildcats beat Golden Valley 50-27. Sophomore QB Tanner Wilson had a record night going 34-44 for 474-yards and 7 TD’s. CJ Jones caught 16 footballs 210 yards and 4 TDs. Malachi Barnes caught 6 passes for 92 yards and a TD. Ethan Ros caught 2 TD passes.
The PAG factor is the Wildcats defense and can they slow down the Vikings offense. Look for the Cats to play from behind and throw almost every down. The DBs are going to be tired. With this silly playoff format a Wildcats loss is actually better for them. This could be a high scoring game and will be fun to watch.
PAGMETER PREDICTION VIKINGS 56 WILDCATS 44
FINAL VIKINGS 49 WILDCATS 9
MEMORIAL PANTHERS (2-0) at CENTRAL GRIZZLIES (1-1)
PAGMETER LINE GRIZZLIES -10
The Early Division 1 showdown! Last year the Grizzlies schooled and beat up the Panthers in the playoffs and that made the Panthers up the schedule to get them much more battle tested.
In week 1 the Panthers crushed Clovis North 34-0. The SJM defense controlled the line of scrimmage. Panthers new QB Carson Dean threw 3 TD passes, (10-13-2-194-yards) each to Ramon Ruiz, Tommy Nix & Italian Stallion Joe Dalena. Brandon Ramirez and Tye Morgan each scored on rushing TDs.
The Grizzlies went on the road and beat Edison of Stockton 28-7.Dayton Tafoya threw 3 TD passes (LaDanian Streets 32 yards, Braylen Hall 25 yards & Noel Felix III 5 yards) Michael James scored on a 13-yard TD run.
The PAG factor the PAGMETER would be crazy to take the Panthers after last year’s bloodbath and playing on the Grizzlies turf. The Grizzlies will have a huge crowd and the Panthers maybe will have about a 100 fans.
But;
This isn’t the Trent Tompkins Grizzlies offense. The Grizzlies offense is a dink & dunk, use the Grizzlies speed with short passes and the Panthers better be able to tackle because the Grizzlies will turn a swing pass into a long TD. The Grizzlies will use Imari Conley as much as possible and get hime the football just like the Panthers will with Brandon Ramirez.
For the Panthers to win the biggest game in Panthers history, it starts upfront and the big O-line needs to take over the line of scrimmage, and RB Brandon Ramirez needs to do his thing.
The Panthers new QB Carson Dean needs to throw down hill to get away from that 7v7 throwing style bullshit that teaches you how to throw running sideways. Both teams will play plenty both ways so this comes down to who makes the big plays? Can the Panthers tackle? Can the Grizzlies D-line hang with the physical Panthers running attack?
PAGMETER SEMI UPSET PREDICTION PANTHERS 30 GRIZZLIES 28
FINAL PANTHERS 23 GRIZZLIES 21
LEMOORE TIGERS (2-0) at WASHINGTON UNION PANTHERS (1-1)
THE PURPLE CAT BOWL
PAGMETER LINE TIGERS -7
The Tigers beat up Selma 78-6. RB Spencer Silva rushed for 102-yards, scored a TD and Anthony Garcia scored 2 TDs. Senior Preston Scott had a record night! Scott scored 5 Touchdowns. 3 of them came on punt returns of 33, 68 and 79 yards. Not only did that feat set a new Central Section Record, it ties for the most ever according to the Most Punt Return Touchdowns (Game) list on CalHiSports. The Bears didn’t learn anything on the punts, and kicked it to Scott and he returned the kickoff for an 80 yard TD. Scott also caught a 6-yard TD pass from Ty Chambers.
The Panthers beat Fresno High 61-0. The Panthers rotated QBs with Trey Morris and Marquese Glynn and they each threw 2 TD passes. RB Josh Vega scored 3 TDs.
The PAG factor: which team will be the contender? The Tigers have senior QB Ty Chambers and if the Panthers are going to rotate QB’s, the PAGMETER will always take the senior over rotation. Next week the Tigers play Clovis West and they can’t look past the Panthers.
PAGMETER PREDICTION TIGERS 34 PANTHERS 27
FINAL TIGERS 56 PANTHERS 35
MADERA COYOTES (1-1) at SELMA BEARS (0-2)
