FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS SEMIFINAL FINAL SCORES
No 4 WOODLAKE TIGERS (5-7) at No 1 TAFT WILDCATS (6-4)
Tigers come in beating Delano 28-14. Hector Rodriguez rushed for 158-yards and scored on a 1-yard TD run. Jr Cervantes threw 2 TD passes (Michael Chavez 40-yards) (Michael Chavez 12-yards).
Wildcats beat Lindsay 26-14. Jackson Berry threw a TD pass and scored a TD. Cyris Gaylord rushed for 110 yards and scored a TD.
The X factor the defenses going against both offenses that love to pound the ball. Can the Tigers slow down Jackson Berry? Can the Wildcats slow down Hector Rodriguez? For the Tigers to win on the road, they can’t afford any turnovers. If Tigers QB JR Cervantes has a big game, the Tigers will win. Which team will win the line of scrimmage battle? This could come down to the final minutes.
PAGMETER Prediction Woodlake 30 Taft 27
FINAL TAFT 49 WOODLAKE 13
No 3 PIONEER VALLEY PANTHERS (1-8) at No 2 MORRO BAY PIRATES (6-6)
Panthers come in beating Caruthers 14-7 and the Pirates beat East 36-33 in the last minute.
The X factor it’s the Panthers offense vs the Pirates defense. Can the Panthers score enough to win? The Panthers play tremendous defense, and the Pirates will have to play better defense this week to win. The Panthers D and the Pirates playing at home make this a tough call.
PAGMETER Prediction Morro Bay 21 Pioneer Valley 20
FINAL MORRO BAY 29 PIONEER VALLEY 26
Nicky Johnson hit Ethan Lisman on a 18-yard TD pass and the game winner.
No 8 LIBERTY MADERA HAWKS (7-5) at No 4 BORON BOBCATS (6-5)
Hawks beat Immanuel 14-0. Head Coach Mike Nolte gets his 100th Career Win and the Hawks 3rd straight shutout at the same time. Mitch Whaley scored both TDs and kicked both extra points. The defense stuffed the line of scrimmage for 48 minutes. Whaley and Caleb Sisco each had 10 tackles and Dominic Castaneda had 2 INTs.
Bobcats beat Shafter 50-33. Mykel McClenden rushed for 178-yards.
The X factor this is going to be a battle up front and who can stop the run. The Bobcats have some big bodies upfront. The Hawks are playing tremendous defense especially upfront. This game will come down to turnovers and finishing drives in the red zone. This is a long bus ride for the Hawks and the Bobcats have the home field advantage but if the Hawks defense continues to play outstanding, then the Hawks will have fun bus ride home. THE HAWKS DEFENSE CONTROLLED the line of scrimmage.
PAGMETER Prediction Boron 21 Liberty Madera 20
FINAL LIBERTY MADERA 20 BORON 6
Dominic Castaneda scored 3 TDs and the red hot defense plays outstanding for the 4th straight game.
No 15 RIDGEVIEW WOLF PACK (3-8) at No 3 RIGHETTI HIGH WARRIORS (4-8)
Wolf Pack beat North 41-22, and the Warriors beat Coalinga 34-18. Elias Martinez scored on a 26-yard TD run. Ryan Boivin scored 2 TDs (30- & 81-yard runs). Elijah Swanson scored on 2 TD runs (17 & 12 yards).
The X factor It’s a battle of division 2 teams with 3 wins each. I’m sure both teams are tired of hearing that they are playing in division 5 because when the coin is flipped, GAME ON. Can the Warriors defense step up and play tough at home? THEY SURE DID!
Both teams had miserable starts and both teams have stepped it up. The Warriors are very disciplined and they will need a big game on both sides of the ball to beat a physical Wolf Pack team.
PAGMETER Prediction Ridgeview 33 Righetti High 27
FINAL RIGHETTI HIGH 27 RIDGEVIEW 6
The Warriors defense played their best game of the year. The offense had plenty of holding calls but still had a 27-0 lead before shutting it down. Ryan Bovin rushed for 120-yards and scored on a 2-yard TD run. Elias Martinez, Abel McCormack each scored on TD runs and Alex Magellan kicked 23 & 22 yard Field Goals.
No 13 MENDOTA AZTECS (8-3) at No 8 HIGHLAND SCOTS (9-4)
Aztecs beat Foothill 42-21. Chris Mejia scored on a rushing TD. Jacob Silva scored 2 TDs and caught a TD pass from QB Renato Gaeta. Richard Ceja Jr caught 2 TD passes. The Trojans were not happy about losing to the Westsiders because they didn’t want to shake hands after the game. The Aztecs are quietly making some noise in the division 4 playoffs and back on the bus to Bakersfield.
Scots beat Nipomo 13-12 in a great game. Jojo Mata threw 2 big passes to Manny Valeta including a 3-yard TD pass with 22 seconds left, Mata kicked the extra point and the game-winner.
The X factor the Scots have plenty of team speed and will spread it out and use it. The Aztecs in the last 2 games have gone against Wing T teams so can the Aztecs defense make the adjustment battling the spread? The Aztecs offense will spread it out and will also line up and run downhill. Both defenses are very good. Starting Aztecs QB Juan Ceja did not make the trip in the win over Foothill because he coughed at school, and they sent him home for precautionary reasons. You can’t make this up. Juan is 100% healthy but Mendota panicked and will not let him play again this week and its completely ridiculous. That means Renato Gaeta will start again at QB for the Aztecs. The Aztecs will need a big game from RB Jacob Silva to win on the road. SILVA HAD A HUGE GAME!
To all students and student athletes, do not sneeze or cough at school because you could get tasered and taken away.
PAGMETER Prediction Highland 28 Mendota 24
FINAL MENDOTA 34 HIGHLAND 28
Jacob Silva had a monster game rushing for 368-yards on 45 carries and scored on 4 rushing TDs. Richard Ceja Jr and Silva each caught TD passes from QB Renato Gaeta
No 7 ROOSEVELT ROUGH RIDERS (6-5) at No 6 INDEPENDENCE FALCONS (7-6)
Riders beat Tehachapi 41-20. Uly Diaz scored on a rushing TD. QB Mario Cosma scored a TD and threw 3 TD passes (Zapien caught 2 TD passes & Miguel Reyna caught a TD)
Falcons beat Monache 42-20. Anthony Rico scored 4 TD’s, and Evan Peaker rushed for 149 yards on 23 carries and had 9 tackles.
The X factor Falcons have scored 40 plus points in 5-straight games. Peaker has now rushed for 1,458-yards so can the Rough Riders slow down a red-hot offense? The Rough Riders offense needs to hold serve to stay in this one and that means they can’t afford to be punting or turnovers. The Falcons are a big & physical team and playing at a high level. Riders QB Mario Cosma must have a big game and be the leader that the Riders need. Falcons senior QB Ladon Denmark does a great job running the offense.
Riders Head Coach Vince Branstetter will be leaving Roosevelt after the season so you know the players will be playing extra hard for their coaches. It’s sad the Roosevelt AD and administration simply don’t get it. This could be the last Roosevelt playoff run in a long time so Rough Rider nation enjoy the ride now.
PAGMETER Prediction Independence 40 Roosevelt 25
FINAL INDEPENDENCE 42 ROOSEVELT 14
QB Ladon Denmark scored on 4 rushing TDs and Evan Peaker rushed for 195-yards and scored a TD.
No 5 WASHINGTON UNION PANTHERS (7-4) at No 1 CENTRAL VALLEY CHRISTIAN CAVALIERS (9-4)
The Panthers beat Arroyo Grande 52-32. Lawrence Stell threw 3 TD passes and scored 3 TDs. William Fowler caught 3 Passes and Malik London scored on an 18-yard run.
The Cavaliers beat Firebaugh 35-20. Blake Gambini scored on a 14-yard TD run; Max Bakker threw 3 TD passes (Jaeden Moore caught 2 TDs & Chapman Dunn caught a 14-yarder).
The X factor can the Cavaliers defense slow down senior QB Stell who has thrown for 1,488 yards and has rushed for 796 yards? That’s the huge X factor.
Can the Panthers defense slow down junior TE/WR Jaeden Moore? QB Max Bakker who has thrown for 2,003 yards and will do whatever he can to get the ball to his big 6’4 target. Leading the Panthers defense is outstanding middle linebacker Keanu Kuma.
This will be a hard-hitting physical game and tough to call. Both teams are so even.
PAGMETER Prediction CVC 31 Washington Union 27
FINAL CENTRAL VALLEY CHRISTIAN 24 WASHINGTON UNION 0
The Cavaliers defense stuffed the Panthers red-hot offense. Josh Sousa scored 2 TDs with runs of 32- and 2-yard runs. Trent Koltsier kicked a 25-yard FG, and Max Bakker hit Parker Jones on a 14-yard TD pass.
No 7 BAKERSFIELD CHRISTIAN EAGLES (9-3) at No 3 DINUBA EMPERORS (8-5)
Eagles beat Strathmore 29-19. The Eagles have won 7-games in a row and in the last 5 games, averaging over 40 points per game.
Emperors beat Paso Robles 28-24. On 3rd and 18, Emperors scored with 6 seconds to go. Mikey Olvera caught a pass from Casimiro Barragan and took it in for a 24-yard TD and the game winner. Emperors have won 4-straight games and averaging 40 points a game the entire year.
The X factor both teams have red-hot senior QBs with Eagles Braden Waterman who has thrown for 1,540 yards and 18 TD passes in 8 games and Emperors have Casimiro Barragan who has thrown for 2,434 yards and 29 TD passes.
Both defenses are very good and will need to make some big stops to advance. Which defensive front can put the most pressure on the passing game? This game could come down to the final minutes. This game also has the makings to be the highest scoring semifinal game of the week. Get ready defensive backs because you will be busy.
PAGMETER Prediction Dinuba 37 Bakersfield Christian 35
FINAL BAKERSFIELD CHRISTIAN 49 DINUBA 27
QB Braden Waterman threw 3 TD passes (Dylan Johnson, 28-yards, Bryson Waterman 53 & 73-yards) and scored on a 19-yard TD run. Bryson Waterman returned a 47-yard punt for a TD and. Nathan Perez scored on a TD run.
No 4 KINGSBURG VIKINGS (10-3) vs No 1 BULLARD KNIGHTS (8-4)
Vikings beat Mission Oak 32-26. The Vikings were down 19-6 in the quarter 3rd quarter and the Vikings scored 26 straight points. Sophomore QB Max Warkentin had his best game yet going 17-28 for 318-yards and 4 TD passes. Jack Rodgers 10-yards, Conner McFall caught 2 TD passes (5 yard and 94 yards). Trace Jackson scored 2 TDs.
The Knights beat Clovis West 70-42. Nick “Stubby” Stubblefield had a breakout game scoring 5 TDs, rushed for 128-yards, scored 3 TDs on runs of 9, 5 & 31-yards, caught 2 passes, and each went for TDs. (9 & 18 yards). The win was the highest combined points total in any Bullard game in Bullard history with 112, beating out a 64-39 win (103 points) over Madera in the 2005 semifinals. QB Roland Russo went 19-23 for 269-yards and 4 TD passes. Jalyn Utendahl caught 8 footballs for 123-yards and a 35-yard TD. Jayden Davis caught 4 passes for 80-yards and a 48-yard TD. Herman Zamora rushed for 139-yards and scored 2 TDs on runs of 3 & 41-yards.
The X factor if you watched the Kingsburg games vs Dinuba and Mission Oak, Dinuba and Mission Oak had the better talent on those nights because the Vikings were banged up.
Junior QB Ethan Winslow went out in the Dinuba game and Max stepped in and did a nice job. Micah Spomer didn’t play in the Mission Oak game and Max again stepped up along with McFall, Trace Jackson, the offensive line, the defense with Jackson, Daniel Ortega, Caleb Irigoyen, Seth Carender, Kenyan Simpson and Gavin Jensen. The Vikings found a way to win those games. The Coaching staff did a great job with making halftime adjustments.
The Vikings are a very good division 2/division 3 team and now they must play a very good division 1 team in these new silly playoffs. The Central Sequoia League player of the year Micah Spomer did not play with personal issues vs Mission Oak and should be back this and that will help the Vikings BIG TIME. The Vikings are a heavy underdog and not having your best player would have been beyond BAD.
The Vikings are the football program that every small school team wants to be like but beating the Knights would be the biggest win in school history. Sorry Viking nation, but it’s a long shot that the Vikings can pull it off. The Vikings will play hard and battle, but the Knights will have just too much on both sides of the ball. The Knights will give up points because the wide receivers play both ways and are simply so tired.
The Vikings should NEVER play the Knights in a playoff game.
PAGMETER Prediction Bullard 42 Kingsburg 21
FINAL BULLARD 49 KINGSBURG 21
QB Roland Russo threw 7 TD passes. Jalyn Utendahl caught 11 passes for 151-yards and caught a 31-yard TD. Daizon Allen caught 6 passes for 103-yards and 3 TDs (39, 17, and 12 yards). Jayden Davis caught 2 TD passes (26 & 34 yards) and Koda Lamanuzzi caught a 5-yard TD.
No 6 FRONTIER TITANS (6-3) at No 2 BAKERSFIELD DRILLERS (6-5)
Titans beat Wasco 35-0. Titans defense played outstanding. Vincent Igoa threw for 183 yards, threw a TD pass, and ran for a TD. Daniel Overton rushed for 116 yards and scored 2 TDs on 14 carries.
The Drillers beat Mission Prep 28-16. QB Ty Monteiro, threw for 129 yards, threw a TD pass, rushed for 83-yards, and scored 2 TDs.
The X factor it will be the outstanding Titans defense vs the speedy Drillers offense.
Drillers have played the much tougher schedule, Titans took 3 weeks off during the year because of the political flu and did not play Bakersfield, Liberty and Garces. Being battle tested in the playoffs is a huge thing and it could be a big factor in this game. Are the Titans fully back playing outstanding football?
The Drillers come in banged up and Head Coach Rashaan Shehee and his staff will have to hope his team plays a complete team game. Junior running back Tybo Rogers who has rushed for 1,064-yards has a high ankle sprain and is slowly coming back from and will be a game time decision but looking doubtful. Tybo is being recruited from all over the country and has offers already from Fresno State, Boston College and Oregon State. Tybo will come into 2022 as one of the top running backs in the state and will have tons of offers to choose from. Senior WR/DB Daylon Leach dislocated his pinky finger and should play. Leach will have to see if he can catch the football but should play plenty at DB. Sophomore RB/LB Drahcir Mackey will be a game time decision with a rib injury.
All Star LB/TE Alex Rocha will be a game time decision with a bad hip that he has played with for a while but reinjured it on Friday.
Drillers junior QB Monteiro needs to have his best game. TY HAD A GOOD GAME. That means the rest of the Drillers need to step up to win on Friday. The Drillers might be banged but they are still the Bakersfield Drillers! Dangerous!
Titans QB Igoa needs to do his thing running and throwing the football, Titans defense needs to play tough to win. Banged up or not, this will be the best team that the Titans will have played so far.
This is now a tough pick!
PAGMETER Prediction Bakersfield 25 Frontier 21
FINAL BAKERSFIELD 21 FRONTIER 14
Ty Monteiro scored on a2-yard TD run and Monteiro hit Drahcir Mackey to tie the game up at 14-14. Tybo Rogers scored the game winner with a 31-yard TD run.
CENTRAL SECTION CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION
No 4 LIBERTY PATRIOTS (9-2) at No 1 BUCHANAN BEARS (10-2)
Patriots beat Clovis 45-35. Jalen Hankins rushed for 145-yards and scored 3 TDs.
Bears beat Clovis North 35-3. The Bears defense stuffed the Broncos running attack for 48 minutes. Caden Rodgers and Michael Runnels each scored on rushing TDs.
These two teams have had some tremendous battles with each other because most of the time, both teams are very even. They both play outstanding defense, pound the football with very good O-lines play action passing and are coached up so well!
Patriots don’t really care what kind of talent the Bears have because the Patriots will play the Bears tough. We all remember in 2018 when the Bears had the most talented team in school history with Kendall Milton, Brock Jones, Jalen Cropper, Tanner Blount, CJ Jones, Hayden Pettersen, Matt Merritt, Zack Studt, Race Mahlum and the Patriots won with a game winning field goal. That will be the year that the Bears had the greatest team in school history and didn’t use the great talent they had. The Bears threw one pass that night to Jalan Cropper and it went for a TD. I’m thinking if the Bears can’t win with that 2018 team, the Patriots won’t be intimidated by any Bears team.
2019 the Patriots were beat up with injuries and the Bears won.
2020 the world ended.
And now it is 2021 and both teams are very good. The Patriots are young because next year the Patriots will be the team to beat.
Leading the Patriots is senior QB Carson Woods who has thrown for 1,590-yards and 16 TDs. Carson is the perfect leader for the Patriots offense. Carson can play-action pass just as good as anybody. RB/DB Jalen Hankins leads the running attack with speed & power and senior speedster WR Jason Oliver will be the guy the Patriots will work to get the ball to. The Patriots are always big and physical upfront and leading the way is junior DE/TE Grant Buckey who is a man beast at 6’5, 280lbs. Grant is being recruited by all the big boys around the country. The Patriots O-line also has DL/OL Xavier Campos, DL/OL Christian Gretlein, DL/OL Shay Achen, and Bryce Monsevais OL/DL.
I don’t know what’s going on at Liberty, they always seem to have the best kicker in the Central Section almost every year. PAGMETER All Star in 2018/2019 Brayden Blevins kicked the game winner against Buchanan in 2018 and this year the Patriots have two of the best with senior Dylan Lynch and junior Grant Meadors.
Bears will have junior QB Jayden Mandal who is about 80% with a high ankle sprain. Whoever has had a high ankle sprain, you will always think about it especially if it’s not 100%. The Bears didn’t want to play Mandal last week but back up QB Colton O’Toole got knocked out of the game, so Mandal came in and limped around. Jayden was invited to the NFL 2022 National Combine at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio Texas on Jan 6-8 and the NFL combine at the NFL Pro Bowl in Las Vegas Feb 3-6. VERY COOL!
RB Caden Rodgers is healthy again from a sprained ankle earlier in the season and Michael Runnels has speed. WR Josiah Ayon is the Bears go to when they need the big play. A star is born with OLB/DE Sophomore Logan Studs was also invited to the NFL 2022 National Combine at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio Texas on Jan 6-8 and the NFL combine at the NFL Pro Bowl in Las Vegas Feb 3-6. Logan will be heavily recruited so get to know this Bears star!
Leading the Bears upfront will be seniors Dylan Stairs, Levi Little, Drew Washburn, Cyrus Lo, TE/MLB Kyle Sanchez and junior Waseem Alsaber. Bears secondary is very good and leading the way is senior safety Jerry Rangel.
The X factor both teams play tremendous defense, both have outstanding O-lines, both play physical upfront on both sides of the ball, both are coached up so well and don’t make mistakes. Plenty of Patriots & Bears play both ways and the weather will be perfect for two-way players.
This game will come down to who can finish drives with points. Turnovers will be huge. This game could come down to the final drive.
The Patriots are looking for the Hat Trick. The Patriots beat the best Bears team in school history in 2018, last week, the Patriots beat one of the best Clovis Cougars team in school history and in the semifinals, and now the Patriots will be looking to beat a great 2021 Bears team for the Hat Trick. Kicking could be huge again in this game.
PAGMETER Prediction Liberty 31 Buchanan 28
FINAL LIBERTY 28 BUCHANAN 21
Carson Woods threw a TD pass to Luke Wattenbarger, Jason Oliver returned a punt for a TD and Grant Austin scored 2 TDs including the game winner. Bears Caden Rodgers scored 3 TDs.
No 3 CENTRAL GRIZZLIES (9-1) at No 2 MEMORIAL PANTHERS (9-1)
Grizzlies beat Hanford 62-12. RB Jesiah Lindsay rushed for 216-yards on 14 carries and scored 2 TD’s. QB Dayton Tafoya went 10-15 for 226-yards and 5 TD passes.
Panthers beat Garces 35-10 in Holy Bowl No 2. Donovan Harris scored 2 TD’s. Mikey Bell scored a TD and threw a TD pass and Brandon Ramirez rushed for 107-yards and scored on a 6-yard TD run.
Central will be looking to play in their 5th straight Central Section Championship if they can win in the semifinals.
Panthers are looking to win their first Central Section Championship in school history. YES, IT WOULD BE THE PANTHERS FIRST CENTRAL SECTION CHAMPIONSHIP. Panthers have won 3 straight Division Championships (division 3 in 2017 & 2018 and division 2 in 2019) but they are now in the Big Boy Central Section Championship division. One of the reasons why we have this new playoff format is because of the private schools and now Memorial can’t hide any longer and has to play up.
Brad Roznovsky who coaches SJM basketball team always wanted to play in division 1 and so did SJM baseball but football wasn’t in a big hurry to play in division 1 even with all those great teams the last 5 years and now SJM football has no choice. In the old ways of doing things, if SJM football said, “we want to play in division 1”, the CIF would never let them back into division 2 even if the Panthers stopped getting super talent coming in. I get that and understand because that was not a good system putting teams in divisions every 2 years. Just look at Hanford Girls basketball, they were very good and had to move up into division 1 but when they didn’t have the good Hanford basketball teams, the Bullpups still stayed in division 1.
The X factor and there are 4 big ones.
No 1 X factor, Grizzlies junior QB Dayton Tafoya who has thrown for 1,770-yards and 21 TD passes and needs to step up for the Grizzlies to win. DAYTON DID STEP UP WITH A GOOD GAME. Tafoya transferred in from Clovis West for this very reason and to play in big games. Tafoya has played like a season veteran and sometimes a rookie. This game Tafoya needs be a season veteran for the Grizzlies to win. The Panthers love to bring plenty of pressure on the QB and can Tafoya handle it? The Grizzlies will need to able to run the ball with Jesiah Lindsay, Ah’Marion Gaines, Michael James, and David Bell. The Grizzlies offense is playing their best football at the right time. Leading the way up front for the Grizzlies will be seniors OL Tanner Hirschler, NG Gilbert Munoz, OL Harmanjot Singh and OL Colin Garrett. Leading the Grizzlies on defense will be seniors DL Jeremiah Shelton DL Amarian Hunter and LB Marcus Ramirez.
No 2 X factor and we all know the Panthers are a very physical running down hill team, with a big physical offensive line and No 8 RB Brandon Ramirez leading the way. The Panthers have steam rolled everybody but Hanford. As we all know the Hanford/SLM game was called at the half, but the Bullpups had a pretty good game plan against the Panthers offense. The outstanding Panthers offensive line are junior LT-Brayden Hall, Junior LG-Phil Torres, sophomore Center-Connor Azevedo, Senior RG-Gage De la cruz, and sophomore RT-Anthony Razo.
The Panthers are a downhill running team and to beat the Panthers, you must focus on stopping the run and slow down one of the top WR/DB players in the state and that is TJ Hall. QB Mikey Bell is a tremendous play action pass QB that wants to get the ball to Hall. The rest of the defense must focus on Brandon Ramirez and the run game. The Teams that SJM has played besides Hanford didn’t have to personal to pull it off but Central does. If Central works their game plan, they will roll by 3 TDs. THE GRIZZLIES GAME PLAN WAS TO STUFFED THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE AND KEY ON HALL AND MEMORIAL HAD NO ANSWERS FOR IT.
No 3 X factor the Grizzlies have played in the TRAC and are battle tested. The Panthers only game that they were tested was against Bullard and Bullard played timid. That means Bullard went for it in the win over Clovis and played scared in the loss to Memorial. I guarantee you that Central who wants to play for their 5th straight Central Section Championships will play to win. X FACTOR WAS HUGE! MEMORIAL SIMPLY WASN’T READY FOR THE GRIZZLIES.
No 4 X factor the Grizzlies are almost unbeatable playing at home and on the field turf. The Grizzlies have the best home crowd of any team in the Central Section, but this game is played at tiny Memorial and Memorial has a big advantage because of it. Back in the day when Memorial used to have huge crowds, they would put bleachers in the end zone. Will SJM put bleachers in the end zone with the biggest crowd they will be having in 50 years? The answer is no. Should they? HELL YES! Both Bands should be in the end zone. Memorial is not a great place to watch a game because the stands are low and with the players standing up it’s tough to see. This game is on TV and Radio so will Grizzlies nation make the trip or stay home and watch it on TV? TV crushes crowds so it might not be as big as people think. TV DID HURT THE CROWD.
If you are going to beat Central, it is on the road. This is the biggest football game in San Joaquin Memorial Panthers football history because they are finally playing in the Big Boy Central Section Championship Division. There is only one Central Section Champion and Memorial has a chance to win their first.
PAGMETER Prediction Central 31 Memorial 28
FINAL CENTRAL 37 MEMORIAL 20
QB Dayton Tafoya went 9-14 for 91-yards and threw a TD pass, rushed for 57-yards, and scored on a 10-TD run. RB Jesiah Lindsay rushed for 110-yards, scored on a TD run and caught a 4-yard TD pass. Ah’ Marion Gaines-Smith rushed for 64-yards and scored on a 2-yard TD run. Amarian Hunter made 9 tackles. Marcus Ramirez with an interception. Imari Conley blocked a field goal and returned a kickoff for a 72-yard TD.
Panthers Brandon Ramirez scored on a 65-yard TD run. Mikey Bell hit TJ Hall on a TD pass.
