**Our Thoughts and Prayers go out to the Washington Union Community and the family of Ernesto Garin who was killed in a traffic accident last week. The Panthers will be playing this week with Heavy Hearts!
**We got word that there was a shooting threat at Central High School, so they called off the game vs Damonte Ranch. Redwood had to shut down because of the political flu and cancelled the game vs Clovis West. The Damonte Ranch Mustangs were heading to Central from Nevada and got word at 11am that the game was cancelled who they reached out to Clovis West and BOOM, we got a ball game. Damonte Ranch played at Clovis West in the first Golden Eagles home game ever and it was the greatest environment.
**There were a couple of games that made me sick to my stomach.
**Ugly game number 1
The Hanford Bullpups playing the SJM Panthers at Memorial. The halftime score Panthers 8 Bullpups 7 and apparently both Athletic Directors decided to call the game because of bad air. WAIT……………WHAT!! Are you joking? Just to be clear, the SJM AD really pushed to cancel the game!
It was no joke, the game was called at the half and yep, ridiculous. How in the world do you kick-off and play for 2 hours and then deem it not safe to play? It will be filed as a “No Contest” like they didn’t play. No score or stats will be kept but fans showed up, Hanford fans made the trip, paid the $5 gallon of gas, and wasted a hot Friday night for nothing. A complete shame especially after 18 months of what the kids have gone through, we have adults making bad decisions repeatedly. Whoever did make the call and you know who you are, you should be ashamed of yourself!
The Bullpups had a Week 1 Bye so they can’t schedule another date to play unless it is a Sat-Wed.
The Bullpups will only play a 9-game season and now this week they have to cancel because of the political contact tracing.
Some questions I get asked, “Hey PAGMETER, how can Hanford-SJM play on a Monday and still prepare for the upcoming game”? Just look at the top notes above with Damonte Ranch vs Clovis West, they had 6 hours to prepare for each other. If you are really in it for the Kids, Hanford-SJM will make it happen.
**Ugly game number 2
With 7 minutes to go at McLane Stadium, the Highlanders were leading the Orosi Cardinals 21-18 when some McLane administrator came on the field and said we need to delay the game for bad air. So, for 30 plus minutes as the Orosi team sat on the bench waiting with all the fans in the same air, the McLane administrator called the dummies at Memorial and ask them, what are going to do? the McLane administration end up calling the game because SJM made a bad decision.
Both teams battled all night, but a Nut Job homer-administrator pulled the plugged on the game and Orosi will be credited with a loss. You can’t make this shit up.
Note to any outside team wanting to come to Fresno to play a Fresno Unified team, you better think long and hard before you do. The Orosi Cardinals and their fans made the trip into Fresno only to get SCREWED!
**IN OTHER NEWS, THE CLOVIS COUGARS PLAYED A GAME RIGHT DOWN THE ROAD AND CELEBRATED JENNA PRANDINI NIGHT AND CLOVIS WEST HEAD COACH ERIC BROWN GOT HIS FIRST WIN IN THE SAME FRICKIN AIR!!!!!
**WITH THE POLICICAL FLU GOING ON, PICKING GAMES WILL BE TOUGH THIS WEEK BECAUSE SOME SCHOOL DISTRICTS ARE SPINELESS AND WON” T STICK UP FOR THEIR STUDENT ATHLETES AND OTHER SCHOOL DISTRICTS HAVE COMMON SENSE. BY GAME TIME SOME HEALTHY PLAYERS MIGHT HAVE TO SIT OUT BECAUSE OF THE CALIFORNIA POLITICAL BULLSHIT.

The X factor is Paso hasn’t put 48 minutes of the offense and defense together but will have to this week against the best team in the Central Section.

Since the rivalry started in 2016, the Badgers are 5-0 against the Mustangs.
The X factor is since Minarets is practicing and who knows what the heck Yosemite is doing, I always will take the team that is playing football. Minarets keeps getting more students in from Yosemite because Yosemite keeps forgetting they are in the kid business. The Badgers have 20 players just dying to get back playing some football but excuse after excuse by the Yosemite administration so stay tuned!

PAGMETER nailed the scored. The Mustangs went for the winning field goal and the Badgers blocked it and fans stormed the field in the big Highway 41 Mountain Bowl game. It’s great to see the smiles on the Badgers fans/players faces & playing the game they love again. I sure hope the Yosemite administration saw what they taken away from the kids at Yosemite. The blue Badgers are now 6-0 over the purple Mustangs since they started playing in 2016.

The X factor is the Chieftains head coach Mark Stelling and staff have a tough job with coaching 11-man football one week and then 8-man football another week. This week is 11-man. Since the Chieftains play 11 man and 8, the Aztecs have the big advantage. The Chieftains will be like taking the donut off when you’re in the on deck Circle when they play 8 man football. Baseball players will understand.

The Chieftains and head coach Mark Stelling/staff are doing a tremendous job building a football program. The goal is to get back to 100% 11-man football. A great example, sophomore basketball player Logan Kilbert who has never played football before and in his first game, rushed for over 100 yards and scored a TD.

The Bulldogs finally get to hit somebody after having a tremendous spring. The Panthers had to cancelled last week vs Roosevelt so they will get back playing.
The X factor the Bulldogs have plenty of team speed and the Panthers have a tremendous defense.

WOW what a match up of the speedy Scots vs the Power of the Birds.
The Scots come in beating Shafter 20-13 and the Thunderbirds slaughter Hoover 56-0. Avian Pesina rushed for 148 yards and scored 3 TD’s. The Birds rushed for 467 yards as a team with 7 TD’s.
The X factor if the Thunderbirds get the lead, they will milk the clock and be tough to beat in the 4th quarter.

The Kingsburg game was cancelled and this week the Hanford game was cancelled. The Tribe come in losing in a shootout to El Diamante 47-44. This week Redwood cancelled so on Wednesday afternoon we have the Union Bowl.
The X factor is the Panthers are trying to find their offense and the Tribe is trying to find their defense. This will be a very interesting game.

They got a big win last Friday over Arroyo Grande 47-21 with a very balanced attack led by QB Levi Manning, both passing and rushing for a combined 5 TD’s. Jackson McDonald carried the offense on the ground with 111 rushing yards averaging over 10 yards per carry. Jaxton Santiago caught 2 TD passes. Noe Estrada returned a kickoff for an 85-yard TD. Leading the Defense was AJ Morgan with 2 sacks and 6 tackles.

The X factor the Coyotes got a gift when they got transfer senior QB Beau Green in who is the most traveled QB in the state. Beau hasn’t been healthy, but this is his 4th transfer (Downey, Turlock, Mater Die) and the family picked Madera because the Coyotes throw the football. BTW Beau Green is an outstanding dual-threat QB and will have the Coyotes ready for a division 2/division 3 playoff championship run. The Coyotes will roll at home.

McLane administration called Memorial and asked them what they were going to do. BLIND LEADING THE BLIND. The Cardinals got a bus, brought the fans, and didn’t finish the game and since they were losing, they will be credited with a loss. A BIG *asterisk loss.
The X factor the Grizzlies must play a pissed off Cardinals team and if I were the Cardinals, I would remember on every snap they play for the rest of the year on what McLane did to them.

On the Panthers offense it’s a complete mystery on why they keep trying to force the ball to outstanding WR TJ Hall? As of now, you double team TJ and the Panthers have no plan B. The Panthers apparently still think they are a passing team. They are not. They have one of the best running backs in the country with Brandon Ramirez who is being recruited by at least 30 division 1 schools and the Panthers apparently forgot he’s on the team.
