The Vikings are real good! Senior QB Jett Jackson returns from injury and will be ready to roll. Jett will play everywhere on both sides of the ball. Seniors WR/RB Blake Spomer, WR Kaden Tate, and DB junior Micha Spomer all return and they are good. The Vikings will also have coming back with senior LB Cal Muxlow, junior LB Cole Dias, OL junior Seth Carender, and senior OL/DL Bhodi Gonzalves. Sophomore QB Ethan Winslow who is going to be real good. Sophomore RB Trace Jackson is a work horse and will get plenty of carries.

The defending division 3 Section Champions and state Champions lose some tremendous stars to graduation with Ben Yorosek and QB Dominic Gamboni. The Eagles should be good again if the young Eagles step up. Look for Junior RB Jess Wattenbarger, to have a big year. Seniors QB Jayden Huggins, and WR Tyler Carr are ready to lead the Eagles. A star is born with sophomore Kresean Krizzy.

The Cavaliers will be very good this fall and this spring football is a great thing for a young bunch. Look for seniors, RB Mason Haworth, and WR Ethan Hansen to have a good year. The Cavaliers will be very good for awhile especially with VUSD falling apart. Look for some new tremendous student athletes to become Cavaliers in all sports. It’s a no brainer because CVC rocks! Look for great things from their new QB 6’2 sophomore QB Max Bakker. (I like this kid!) The Caves have some major young talent coming up!

The Tigers have the makings to be very good. Two of best Offensive Tackles in the section are seniors Thomas Cole who is 6’7” 270lb, and Christian Jones, 6’7 290lb. Cole already has 20 plus Division 1 offers and picked UCLA over Michigan, Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, California, Cal Poly, Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas State, Northern Arizona, Oregon State, Princeton, SMU, UNLV, Utah, Washington State, and Yale. DB Landon Nelson has decided to play his senior year in West Des Moines Iowa and for the Valley High Tigers.

Last year was simply a horrible year. The School boundaries need to be redrawn. The big question…is the administration in it to win it? Redwood has 80 players on Varsity and the Pioneers had less than 30. Something needs to change at MW.
