Scored 18 points, including five 3-pointers to help beat Yosemite and secure the North Sequoia League title as well as 21 points, including four 3-pointers to beat Washington Union, ending the league season with a record of 9-1.  Dayle also joined the 1,000 point club in the third game of this season.

Dayle is a four year varsity basketball player. She received 1st team All-League in 10th and 11thgrades, PagMeter Top 40 in 2019-20, and has been team captain for the past two seasons.  She also played volleyball for four years, varsity softball for one year, and track for two years, where she was awarded Sierra High Top Female Track Athlete in 2018-19.

She has a 4.31 GPA and has completed 16 college units by taking Dual Enrollment classes at Sierra High School.  Dayle will be attending Fresno State as a Smittcamp Family Honors College Scholarship recipient and majoring in Interior Design.  GO DOGS!

While everyone has been dealing with COVID, Sierra students had to also literally climb out of the ashes of the Creek Fire.  80% of Sierra’s faculty and students either lost everything in the fire, or had to be evacuated.  When the girls’ basketball team wasn’t allowed to hold practice indoors, they were eager to practice out on the black top. They have a tremendous amount of grit, and it shows. #mountainstrong
