Fantasy Playoff Fun 2021

For fun we put together a playoff bracket if we had a real playoff. The CIF is thinking about combining the top teams from 2 divisions to make the playoffs. Remember the new format was going to be, take the top teams from (division 1/division 2) (division 3/division 4)(division 5/division 6) combined for a Playoff. The rest of the (division 1/division 2) (division 3/division 4) (division 5/division 6) combined lower ranked teams would make a playoff. It might look like this……WHAT DO YOU THINK???

No 1 BUCHANAN BEARS (5-0) TRAC SPRING CHAMPIONS

The Bears have their QB with Jayden Mandal set for the next 2 years.

No 2 CENTRAL GRIZZLIES (4-1)

The Grizzlies are young and only got better. If a real playoff, tough to beat.

No 3 LIBERTY PATRIOT (5-0) SWYL SPRING CHAMPIONS

Beat Bakersfield 35-0. The Patriots would have loved a real playoff

No 4 KINGSBURG VIKINGS (5-0) CSL AND DIVISION 3 SPRING CHAMPIONS

The Vikings are one of the hardest working teams in the Central Section and can beat anybody! Tremendous defense!

No 5 SANGER APACHES (4-1) CMAC AND DIVISION 2 SPRING CHAMPIONS

Beat Memorial 28-21. This was the 1000th game in the 121 year Sanger history. Alan Pelayo picked off his 3rd pass of the year late in the game and Morgan Privett scored the game winning TD with 37 seconds to go.

No 6 ST JOSEPH KNIGHTS (5-0) MOUNTAIN AND CENTRAL COAST CHAMPIONS

The Knights are real good and the best team on the Central Coast 

No 7 CLOVIS COUGARS (3-2)

The Cougars will be really good when fall football starts.  Will QB Nate Johnson verbal to Michigan?

No 8 MEMORIAL PANTHERS (5-1)

Beat Madera 42-14. Jordan Hornbeck scored 2 TD’s and TJ Homes returned a punt for a 74-yard TD and the Panthers rolled.

No 9 FRONTIER TITANS (4-1) 

Beat Stockdale 35-12. This Titans will be very good this fall

No 10 GARCES RAMS (2-3)

Ian Jernagin, breaks the Garces record rushing for 381-yards

No 11 TULARE UNION TRIBE (4-1) EYL SPRING CHAMPIONS

Tulare Union now leads the all-time Bell Game series 40-16

No 12 CLOVIS EAST T WOLVES (2-3) 

Jacob Tafoya will go down as one of the best T Wolves of all time.  

No 13 Bullard Knights (4-2)

Beat Edison 53-26. The Knights crushed the Tigers in the spring Crosstown Classic

No 14 TULARE WESTERN MUSTANGS (4-1) 

After 8 tremendous season, head coach Ryan Rocha is stepping down. Coach Ryan did an amazing job building the Mustangs into a outstanding power. NEW HEAD COACH will be DEREK ROSA. Rosa, a former Mustangs QB, was the TW QB coach in 17 & 18, then became the OC in 19 & 20 for former HC Ryan Rocha. Rosa has only coached with Rocha at TW and bleeds Mustangs

No 15 SELMA BEARS (2-2) DIVISION 4 CHAMPIONS

The Bears would have been the favorites in a real division 4 playoff.

No 16 SHAFTER GENERALS (5-0) SSL SPRING CHAMPIONS

Beat Golden Valley 41-14 The Generals should be playing Liberty for the Bakersfield/Kern district Championship this Friday!!

No 17 ARROYO GRANDE EAGLES (2-3)

Plenty of football players played baseball instead

No 18 CENTENNIAL GOLDEN HAWKS (2-3) 

Lost to Frontier 25-13. The G Hawks will be ready when fall start

No 19 HANFORD BULLPUPS (3-1)

Beat Edison 47-17. The Bullpups crushed the Tigers in the spring game. Watch out for the Bullpups this fall!

No 20 WASHINGTON UNION PANTHERS (2-2)

New head coach Paul Holland and staff are doing a good job with this Panthers team. The most improved team in the Central Section.

No 21 BAKERSFIELD CHRISTIAN EAGLES (1-2) 

Playing spring football was real good for the young Eagles

No 22 PASO ROBLES BEARCATS (3-2)

The Cats will be good in the fall

No 23 TEMPLETON EAGLES (3-2)

QB Tyler Kaschewski will go down as one of the best to ever play at Templeton.

No 24 NIPOMO TITANS (4-1)

The Titans had one heck a good spring and will be ready for the fall

No 25 BAKERSFIELD DRILLERS (1-2)

Lost to Liberty 35-0. Simply not a good spring team for the Drillers

No 26 EDISON TIGERS (1-4) 

Lost to Bullard 53-26. What is going on with Tiger’s football. Will Cory Hall be the coach in the fall?

No 27 RIGHETTI HIGH WARRIORS (2-1)

The Warriors will be ready for the fall after playing with a young team

No 28 MADERA COYOTES (2-5)

Lost to Memorial 42-14. Played a tough spring schedule

No 29 LIBERTY MADERA HAWKS (4-1)

The Hawks would have been tough to beat in the playoffs

No 30 PIONEER VALLEY PANTHERS (3-1)

Tremendous spring for the Panthers

Head Coach Tim Randall has resigned and sophomore QB Dayton Tafoya has transferred to Central. Not a good time in Golden Eagles football nation. The new head coach will be ERIC BROWN!

RIDGEVIEW WOLF PACK (1-3)

Beat Stockdale 32-6. The Pack defense stepped up

CLOVIS NORTH BRONCOS (0-3)

3 QB’s have transferred out, 1 QB quit the team, the Seniors didn’t want to play,  5 coaches have quit the team. What is going on in Bronco land? With the disaster at North, they prey for QB Jack Johnson to transfer back from Utah
