Let the debate begin on who is the No 1 team on the Pag Meter!
We are so fortunate here in the Central Section to have 2 of the greatest public HS schools in the USA battling against all the Private Professional High Schools. What an incredible story!
At the start of the season, it was a no brainer that Clovis West was the No1 team on the Pag Meter.
The expectation was that the 7 straight Central Section Champion, Clovis West would dominate over the Clovis North Broncos for the No 1 spot. Cal-Hi Sports has Clovis North at No 9 in the state and Clovis West at No 18 in the state, but Cal-Hi Sports is not paying attention.
Clovis West has won the Central Section for 7 straight years and Clovis North has only beaten Clovis West one time EVER! The last time they played against each other was for the Central Section Championship in March. CW could have won the game by 50 but CW shut it down and won 73-38.
If I were CN, I would want to be No 2 and just wait to play CW on Jan 10th. Settle it on the court.
If Clovis West starts losing some games and Clovis North wins games then there will be a change.
CN will play CW 3 times this year and that includes the Open Championship at Selland Arena.
This isn’t one of the great Clovis West teams but this is the best Clovis North team in school history. The stars are aligned for the Broncos to win it all because they have an awesome team!
Will this be the year that the Broncos win the ring or will C-Dubb win their 8th straight?
In the meantime, Clovis West starts the week at the No 1 spot on the Pag Meter!
I can’t wait for Jan 10 at the Broncos Stable Center!
PAG METER NOTE,
The Pag Meter Rankings are out. Don’t get too excited if your team is high/low right now. We had to start somewhere. Some teams will start slow because some players are finishing fall sports, some have new players, some are sitting out with the 30 day transfer rule, some have young players that will get better…..
Once the winter tournaments get going, we will get a better idea on your team. By the time the seedings are out at the end of the regular season, the Pag Meter rankings are sooooo close with the seeding brackets.
Good luck this year and make sure you keep the Pag Meter updated on stats, highlights & news so we can get the word out on your team.
