Meredith McDougal
Meredith McDougal is a 4 year varsity athlete in girls golf for San Joaquin Memorial. Meredith is a four time All Central Section player. She shot 77 as a freshman for fourth place and the highest placing freshman in the section. As a Junior Meredith shot a one under par 71 to win the section individual championship by 5 shots. In addition to her school team she has played in the Championship division of the Junior Tour of NorCal (JTNC), she’s also played dozens of events on the JGANC and AJGA tours. She has won numerous events but the highlights have been earning a qualifier spot in the most prestigious tournament in NorCal the NCGA Junior Championship and hitting a 180 yard hole in one in the California Women’s Amateur in a field of mostly college players.
Meredith’s tenure at Memorial has seen the girls golf team rise to prominence. After never having won a CMAC title or a Section/Valley Championship, her sophomore year, the Memorial team brought home the DIII Championship, her junior year they repeated and were promoted to DII. This season they won the DII championship, for a “three peat” in Meredith’s four years.
Meredith is an organized and driven student athlete with cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.7. She is narrowing her college choices and has taken two visits to date. She is scheduled for several visits after the International and Senior Showcase AGJA event in Las Vegas in December. Meredith is the most accomplished golfer to play at San Joaquin Memorial in 35 years
