THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FINALS

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

EAST SEQUOIA
Woodlake Tigers (8-2) (5-1) at Granite Hills Grizzlies (3-7) (2-5)
Pag Meter Line Woodlake -31
The Tigers come off a win over Farmersville 49-0 and the Grizzlies 55-10.
The X factor is the Tigers are looking to finish at 8-2 and a possible 6-8 seed, home game in the Division 5 playoffs. The Tigers soft schedule could hurt them. The Grizzlies will enter the Tournament and could be looking at the No 6 seed in the Division 5 playoffs and the Grizzlies will be on the road in the Division 6 playoffs at a possible No 14 seed.
Pag Meter Prediction Woodlake 44 Granite Hills 13

FINAL WOODLAKE 54 GRANITE HILLS 6

NORTH YOSEMITE
Reedley Pirates (6-4) (4-1) at Sunnyside Wildcats (6-4) (5-0)
For the NYL Championship
Pag Meter Line Sunnyside -21
The Pirates are playing for the first league championship in 47 years.
Reedley comes in beating Hoover 42-28. Danny Cortez scored 3 TD’s. Michael Rois scored on a 3-yard TD run.
The Wildcats beat Roosevelt 21-14.
The X factor is the Pirates defense has to step up with QB Gannon Gabeldon, with a game time decision if he will play with a sore shoulder. Gannon is very good and the Pirates might decide to rest him for the playoffs. The Pirates will bring in the energy with half the town coming to Sunnyside stadium and the Wildcats will have about 14 fans. If the Pirates can turn this into a home game with loud fans, the Pirates can pull it off. The Wildcats are big up front but who knows if the Wildcats offense will show up? The Wildcats are much bigger on both sides of the ball over the Pirates but the Wildcats are big and sometimes sloopy. NOT TONIGHT. That means the Pirates have to be quicker and smarter to win. They were not
Pag Meter Prediction (Upset halloween special) Reedley 26 Sunnyside 25

FINAL
SUNNYSIDE 38 REEDLEY 6
The Wildcats are the NYL Champions!
The Cats were to fast and physical for the smaller Pirates who struggled throwing the football. Pag Meter blew this upset pick

BREAKING NEWS

EDISON TIGERS WILL BE FORFEITING THEIR 3 WINS BECAUSE OF PLAYING 3 INELIGIBLE PLAYERS. EDISON WILL NOT ENTER THE TOURNAMENT

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

CENTRAL SEQUOIA
CVC Cavaliers (6-4) (3-2) at Exeter Monarchs (4-6) (1-4)
Pag Meter Line CVC -14
The X factor the Cavaliers lost Jaalen Rening, the best running back in the section to a season ending injury so can CVC step up and win a playoff game without their star?
Pag Meter Prediction CVC 27 Exeter 13

FINAL CVC 47 EXETER 12

Hanford West Huskies (1-9) (0-5) at Dinuba Emperors (5-5) (2-3)
Pag Meter Line -Dinuba -35+
The X factor Emperors just learned that they will get a FORFEIT win over Edison because Edison played with 3 ineligible players so they can go in the playoffs at 5-5.
QB Josh Magana will put up big numbers and the Emperors defense will finally have a big game. Josh has thrown for 2,021 yards and 23 TD’s and off the radar because the Emperors have had a down year with a zero running game. Will Hanford West break the scoreless streak of 5 games (21 quarters) without scoring? This is the defense to do it against.
The Emperors are looking at the No 13 seed the Division 2 Tournament.
Pag Meter Dinuba 54 Hanford West 6

FINAL DINUBA 51 HANFORD WEST 6

Kingsburg Vikings (10-0) (5-0) at Selma Bears (8-2) (4-1)
(87th Fire Hydrant game) Broadcasting on 940 ESPN Radio
Pag Meter Line Kingsburg -12
This is the showdown that both towns have been waiting for since July.
The Vikings come in with a semi-bye beating Hanford West 53-0.
The Bears come in beating CVC 35-3. QB Joey Ramirez, threw 4 TD passes (Aaron Blancas, 26, & 63 yards, Aaron Moreno 36 & 28 yards). Adam Rodriguez, scored on a 1-yard TD run.
The X factor is both teams are playing great defense and the Vikings QB Travis Hall will need a huge game with Jett Jackson out.
If Joey Ramirez has a big game then the Bears will win.
Pag Meter Prediction (Upset special) Selma 27 Kingsburg 25

FINAL KINGSBURG 43 SELMA 27 (VIKINGS ARE THE CENTRAL SEQUOIA CHAMPS)

CMAC
Bullard Knights (8-2) (4-1) vs Edison Tigers (0-10) (0-5)
In the Crosstown Classic
Pag Meter Line Bullard -28
Since 1959, the Tigers have won 32 games and the Knights have won 29 games. Now that’s a Rivalry!
Side note-The Tigers will forfeit their 3 wins to Dinuba, Madera and Madera South because they played 3 ineligible players. Also the Tigers will not enter the Tournament.
The Knights come in beating up Madera South 62-6. QB Jaden Pierucci, went 12-14 for 270 yards & 4 TD passes. Deandre Greeley, caught 3 passes for 67 yards & 2 TD’s. Last week the Knights took it easy on Madera with Old Coach Yosef Fares, back home but this week they let the dogs out. One little problem, Pierucci went down and hurt his hip and will be a game time decision if he plays. If that’s the case the Knights would go Wildcat with Greeley who is fast!
The X factor with the Tigers mess and the football program falling fast, will the Tigers show up and play hard? WHO KNOWS but I doubt it with kids quitting this week.
Pag Meter Prediction Bullard 35 Edison 7

FINAL BULLARD 32 EDISON 6

Madera South Stallions (4-6) (1-4) at Madera Coyotes (5-5) (2-3)
12th annual Battle for the Saw
Pag Meter Line Madera -14
The Stallions and Coyotes will both get FORFEIT wins because Edison played with 3 ineligible players so have a chance to be 5-5.
This has the makings to be a great game. Both teams have to play in the CMAC with both schools splitting students and it’s been a disaster with both in the CMAC for years.
Both schools had to go through the CMAC death march and now get to play somebody their own size again. Imagine, schools like Bullard, Sanger, and Edison starting a new school one mile away and then have to play in the CMAC. It’s not right and its unfair and NOBODY is doing a frickin thing about it.
If I was part of Madera South, I would do what Immanuel did and go freelance and play 10 non league games until the
The X factor and there is 2.
No 1, the Coyotes are small and fast and will need a big game from their QB Isaiah Martinez. No 2, the Stallions didn’t play a bunch of starters the last 3 weeks and can’t put the ball on the turf to win.
Pag Meter Prediction (Upset special) Madera South 26 Madera 24

FINAL MADERA 28 MADERA SOUTH 7

Memorial Panthers (9-1) (5-0) at Sanger Apaches (6-4) (3-2)
20th meeting and Sanger leads 12-7
Pag Meter Line Memorial -13
If the Panthers win they will be back to back CMAC Champions and the No 2 seed unless Lemoore beats Hanford then SJM will be the No 1 seed. If the Apaches win then there will be a 3-way tie with Bullard in the CMAC and Sanger could get the No 3 seed. A loss and the Apaches could get the No 4-5 seed. It will depend if TW beats Tulare Union.
Memorial comes in beating Madera 55-14. Jordan Hornbeak has now rushed for 1,105 and has scored 12 TD’s. Finn Collins, went 14-18 for 272 yards & 3 TD’s. Jalen McMillan had 8 receptions for 147 yards & now has 4,628 yards, 4th best in state history, 52 touchdowns 8th best 227 receptions 14th best. Running back Jordan Hornbeak had only 5 carries for 151 yards & two scores.
Sanger comes back and beats Edison 38-28. Kosi Agina rushed for 111 yards and scored 3 TD’s and also caught a 39-yard TD pass from Noel Collazo.
The X factor is both defenses. Sangers offense needs to be on to stay with Memorial.
Pag Meter Prediction Memorial 40 Sanger 27

FINAL SJM 31 SANGER 28 (PANTHERS ARE THE BACK TO BACK CMAC CHAMPIONS)

EAST SEQUOIA
Sierra Pacific Golden Bears (4-6) (3-3) at Corcoran Panthers (4-6) (2-4)
Pag Meter Line Sierra Pacific -21
The Golden Bears FINALLY played a great game and beat Lindsay 28-0.
The X factor is the Corcoran offense and they need a big game at home to win. SP has to win to enter the Tournament.
Pag Meter Prediction Sierra Pacific 32 Corcoran 13

FINAL SIERRA PACIFIC 42 CORCORAN 0

Strathmore Spartans (9-1) (5-1) at Lindsay Cardinals (7-3) (4-2)
99th annual Bell Game
Pag Meter Line Strathmore -7
The Spartans are steam rolling and the Cardinals were steam rolling until last week in the ugly loss to Sierra Pacific 28-0.
The X factor I’m sure the Cardinals were looking ahead to this week’s big game and had a let down but can they turn it on in the 99th meeting? If the Cardinals can win at home, they are looking at the No 5 seed. The Spartans are looking at the No 4 seed.
Pag Meter Prediction Strathmore 27 Lindsay 20

FINAL LINDSAY 10 STRATHMORE 7

EAST YOSEMITE
Mission Oak Hawks (5-5) (2-3) at Delano Tigers (0-10) (0-5)
Tigers will not enter the Tournament
Pag Meter Line Mission Oak -35+
The X factor the Hawks will be battle tested heading into the Division 5 playoffs.
Pag Meter Prediction Mission Oak 40 Delano 0

FINAL MISSION OAK 14 DELANO 0
Game was called in the 3rd quarter because the Tigers started a fight when 10 plus Tiger players attacked a Hawk player on the Tigers sideline. Something needs to be done with Delano!!

Porterville Panthers (6-4) (3-2) vs Monache (2-8) (1-4)
51st annual Granite Bowl
Pag Meter Line Porterville -35+
The Panthers come in beating Delano 48-6. Hector Nava went 11-19, 309 Yards & 3 TD passes & scored 2 TD’s. Isaiah Ellis rushed for 81 yards on 6 carries, scored 2 TD’s and caught 5 balls for 139 yards & a TD. The Panthers will end up at 6-4 and has played the toughest schedule in division 4, looking at the No 4 seed in the Division 4 Playoffs. The Marauders have to win to enter the Tournament but they can’t match up with the Panthers so the season will end for Monache.
The X factor Porterville 55 Monache 6

FINAL PORERVILLE 61 MONACHE 6

Tulare Western Mustangs (8-2) (5-0) at Tulare Union Tribe (8-2) (4-1)
55th annual Bell Game (Tribe leads the series 39-15)
(This is for or the East Yosemite League Championship)
Pag Meter Line Tulare Western -3
This is the big one for the EYL Championship.
In the last 4 years, TW crushed everybody until the Bell game and then got crushed because they were not physically ready. This year will be different and TW can thank Hanford and Redwood because they are good and TW needed to play some good teams instead of every year playing a soft schedule.
The Tribe have been rolling after losing to Redwood,
The X factor is both defenses are real good but the edge goes to the Mustangs on offense.
The Tribe offense which is led by WR Willie James and QB Jorge Gonzalez need to go off to win. The Mustangs are back pounding the football and leading the way is RB Tairyn Johnson.
Both teams have outgrown the EYL and playing in the EYL will never get them ready for the playoffs but because Hanford and Redwood being really good this year will help the Mustangs win the Bell game.
Pag Meter Prediction Tulare Western 27 Tulare Union 21

FINAL TULARE WESTERN 24 TULARE UNION 14 (MUSTANGS ARE THE EYL CHAMPIONS)

HIGH DESERT
Bishop Union Broncos (8-2) (5-0) at Cal City Ravens (8-2) (4-1)
This is for the High Desert Championship
Pag Meter Line Bishop Union -7
Both teams have been waiting since day one for this one.
Both teams have been crushing everybody in their way.
The X factor can the Ravens play good for 48 minutes? The Ravens are winning but not playing their best football. The Broncos are playing their best coming in and has the edge.
The Winner will be the No 1 seed in the division 6 playoffs.
Pag Meter Prediction Bishop Union 27 Cal City 20

FINAL BISHOP UNION 7 CAL CITY 0 (BRONCOS ARE THE HDL CHAMPIONS)

Desert Scorpions (0-9) (0-5) at Boron Bobcats (4-6) (2-3)
Pag Meter Line Boron -35+
The X factor the Bobcats will roll at home. The Scorpions will not enter the Tournament.
Pag Meter Prediction Boron 55 Desert 0

FINAL BORON 74 DESERT 0

Rosamond Roadrunners (3-7) (1-4) at Kern Valley Broncs (4-6) (3-2)
Pag Meter Line Kern Valley -35+
The hottest team right now is Kern Valley they will roll at home.
The X factor don’t be fooled by the Broncs record because this team is good. The Roadrunners will not enter the Division 6 Tournament. The Broncs are looking at the No 10 seed in the Division 6 Playoffs.
Pag Meter Prediction Kern Valley 54 Rosamond 6

FINAL KERN VALLEY 55 ROSAMOND 0

MOUNTAIN
Righetti High Warriors (7-3) (1-2) at St. Joseph Knights (7-3) (3-0)
Foster Road Rivalry
Pag Meter Line  St Joseph -5
If the Knights win they are the Mountain Champions. If the Warriors win then there will be a 3-way tie with Arroyo Grande.
The Warriors come in beating Paso 28-21 and the Knights beat Arroyo Grande 21-14.
The X factor is the QB’s and who plays better will win. It is Warriors Logan Mortensen vs Knights Hunter Barnhart. The Knights are completely different team with Hunter at QB since he became eligible. The Warriors without their star Jake Steels will hurt them in this one. IT DID. The winner will get the No 6 seed and the loser probably the No 7 seed in the Division 2 Playoffs.
Pag Meter Prediction St Joseph 27 Righetti High 20

FINAL ST JOSEPH 22 RIGHETTI HIGH 7

NORTH SEQUOIA
Chowchilla Tribe (3-7) (0-4) at Liberty Ranchos Hawks (4-6) (1-3)
Tribe must win to enter the Tournament
Pag Meter Line Liberty Ranchos -14
Who would have thought both teams would be 3-6? The Tribe had a big transfer leave along with injuries and the Hawks have had injuries along with leading the world in turnovers.
The X factor is of course who can finish drives with points and without fumbles. NO FUMBLES FOR THE HAWKS.  This should be a physical war between the tackles.
Pag Meter Prediction Liberty Madera 27 Chowchilla 13

FINAL LIBERTY MADERA 33 CHOWCHILLA 7

Kerman Lions (4-6) (2-2) at Washington Union Panthers (9-1) (4-0)
Pag Meter Line Washington Union -34
The winner will be the North Sequoia League Champions.
The X factor if the Lions can pull it off, it would be the biggest win in school history but don’t get excited Lion nation, it’s not going to happen. The Panthers speed will be too much.
Pag Meter Prediction Washington Union 47 Kerman 13

FINAL WASHINGTON UNION 48 KERMAN 14 (PANTHERS ARE THE NSL CHAMPIONS)

Hoover Patriots (4-6) (2-3) at McLane Highlanders (2-8) (0-5)
Revolution Bowl
Highlanders will not enter the Tournament and the Patriots have to win.
Pag Meter Line Hoover -16

Pag Meter Line Roosevelt -23
The Riders need to win to enter the Tournament and the Warriors will shut it down.
The X factor the Riders need to continue to pound the ball and the Pig will be at Tulare and Cedar after Friday night,
Pag Meter Prediction Roosevelt 36 Fresno High 13

FINAL ROOSEVELT 49 FRESNO HIGH 14

SOUTH SEQUOIA
Kennedy Thunderbirds (8-2) (4-2) at Chavez Titans (8-2) (5-1)
Pag Meter Line Kennedy -2
If Chavez wins they are the South Sequoia League Champions!
The Birds come off their first loss to Shafter 27-21. The Titans come off a bye.
The X factor can the Birds get back on the bike after falling off? Can the Titans offense and D-line play great? The Thunderbirds matchup well with other Wing T teams but we will see what they do vs a spread attack. I can’t see the Birds losing 2 straight games. I’m thinking the loss might have woken up the sleeping giant. If the the Titans can match what Shafter did on defense vs the Birds, they can win.
Pag Meter Prediction Kennedy 27 Chavez 25

FINAL CHAVEZ 21 KENNEDY 17 (TITANS ARE THE SSL CHAMPIONS. BEAT SHAFTER AND KENNEDY IN THE TIEBREAKER)

Pag Meter Line Shafter -7
The Tigers come in playing their best football winning 2 straight.
The Generals come in beating undefeated Kennedy 27-21 and now have won 4 straight.
The X factor is the Generals defense just played Kennedy and the Wing T and now face almost the same style of offense again. Can the Tigers defense slow down a red hot Generals QB Jackson Sanchez?
Pag Meter Prediction Shafter 27 Wasco 20

FINAL NORTH 26 SOUTH 24

SOUTHWEST YOSEMITE
Centennial Golden Hawks (4-6) (1-4) at Frontier Titans (5-5) (2-3)
Pag Meter Line Frontier -7
The X factor is the Hawks have hit a wall especially on offense and will not enter the tournament and the Titans are playing good football. The Titans come in beating Stockdale 21-14 even though the scoreboard said 21-20 in OT. The Ref made the worst call in the USA this year to give the Mustangs a free TD pass on an incomplete pass. Stevie Wonder would have called it an incomplete pass. The Hawks offense won’t be able to keep up. A win and the Titans are looking at the No 8 seed in the Division 2 playoffs after beating Stockdale and Garces.
Pag Meter Prediction Frontier 30 Centennial 13

FINAL CENTENNIAL 13 FRONTIER 0

Stockdale Mustangs (5-5) (2-3) at Garces Rams (4-6) (2-3)
Pag Meter Line Garces -4
The Mustangs come in losing to Frontier 21-20 in OT but really the score was 21-14 and the Rams lost to Liberty 31-0.
The X factor is both teams are very up and down. The Rams should win if they stop turning the ball over. The winner could be looking at a rematch at Frontier with a No 9 seed in the first round of the Division 2 playoffs. The loser could get the No 10-11 seed.
Pag Meter Prediction Garces 28 Stockdale 23

FINAL GARCES 27 STOCKDALE 13

Dillers senior Isaac Jernagin, who has verbally committed to play at Nevada has quit the team and soph brother Ian, might have quit as well but did fracture his ankle against Centennial is out for the rest of the year. Put $$ on it that Ian Jernagin, is playing at Garces next year. Stay tuned,

The X factor is the Cougars can run the ball with Red Hot Risley who will be over a 1000 yards after this game. CW has won the last 5 games against Clovis but look for Clovis to snapped the streak.
Pag Meter Clovis 30 Clovis West 23
