Bulldog Homecoming

The Fresno State Bulldogs are coming off one of the most impressive wins this season against UNLV – 56-27. The Dogs defense came to play forcing 5 turnovers and 1 fumble recovery for a touchdown. Fresno State held UNLV Running Back, Charles Williams to 3.3 yards per carry and a total 82 yards on 25 plays. Linebacker Justin Rice came to play with 10 tackles and 1 touchdown. Offensively, the Dogs looked much better. Fresno State had 6 rushing touchdowns, 3 of those rushing touchdowns came from the Clovis native Josh Hokit. QB Jorge Reyna looked much sharper, 16-23 229 passing yards with 1 rushing and 1 passing touchdowns.

The Bulldogs are now 3-3(1-1) and will now face Colorado State 2-5(1-2) on Homecoming Night.

Keys to the Game:

If Colorado State is going to win this game, it’s going to have to start with its defense. The Rams are getting some players back on Defense but have given up 25+ points in 4 games this year. Offensively, the Rams will be without one of its main weapons on the field with Senior RB Marvin KInsey Jr. who has rushed for 700 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns. If the Rams are going to pull an upset, Junior QB Patrick O’Brein is going to need to have a big game through the air.

For Fresno State, the Defense looked much better than it did 2 weeks ago. As the Dogs look for its second straight win this game, it will start with its defense. Fresno State has a huge advantage with Colorado State lead rusher out for tonight’s game. The Dogs have to take away the passing game and create some turnovers. The Running game for the Rams won’t be much of a factor, but if the Dogs can take away that passing game, they should be in a great spot to win tonight. Offensively, the Fresno State offense can be consistent for 4 Quarters. The Dogs had a slow start to start both halves. Fresno State had 28 points off turnovers. If the Bulldogs can run the ball like last week and capitalize on the Rams’ mistakes, then Fresno State will be moving on to a 4-3 record.

Red Wave! It’s Homecoming night! Come out and support our Fresno State Bulldogs as they take on the Colorado State Rams. The game will be at Bulldogs Stadium at 4:30pm. The game will also be live on EspnU and on Espn 940.
