Male Pag Meter Player of the Week
Justin Holaday
Justin Holaday is a Senior QB for Lemoore high school and an exceptional student athlete.
Justin currently has a 4.0 GPA and is involved in CSF, Teachers of Tomorrow club, Chess club and Christian club. Justin plans on attending college and becoming a high school history teacher after college.
After taking his sophomore year off from Football Justin has been the Tigers starting QB for the past 2 seasons. In the past 2 seasons, Justin has thrown for over 3,500 yards and 29 TD’s.
Last week against Golden West Justin went 17 of 25 for 362 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 37 yards on four carries leading the Tigers to a 36-29 win and arguably one of the biggest wins for the Tigers over the past 3 seasons. The week before Justin went 25 of 31 for 321 yards leading the Tigers to a victory over El Diamante 34-23.
Justin also plays baseball for the Tigers and has been on the Varsity baseball team since Freshman year. Justin Pitches and plays outfield for the Tigers.
Female Pag Meter Player of the Week
CORIE SMITH
Corie Smith is a 4 year varsity athlete in cross country from the Buchanan Bears. She placed 4th in the state cross country meet as a freshman, 1st as a sophomore and was unable to compete her junior year due to illness. Corie is an All American and listed as one of the seniors in the country.
On October 12, 2019 Corie becomes the fastest female athlete in Section history at Woodward park. Her time of 16:53 is not only the sections best time, but it places her 4th on the all time list ever for the course. She has helped her team place 2nd and 3rd in the state meet for cross country and help her track team win a state championship for tack this past spring (2019).
Corie is a very hard working student athlete with a GPA of 3.9. She has narrowed her college choices and will be taking official visits at the conclusion of the cross country season. Corie has been recognized for her accomplishments by the school, state and national level.
