Male Pag Meter Player of the Week
Tyler Mello is the best Linebacker in the Section!
Tyler carries a 4.16 GPA. He is a 3 yr varsity starter and has been team captain the last two years. He is a two time first team WYL linebacker. He plays MLB, but has also played free safety, defensive end, outside linebacker, and tight end for the Bullpups.
This year his totals are 105 tackles, 7 sacks, 11 TFL, 7 receptions, 3 TD’s. He also competes in track and field as a sprinter and throws the shot put. He is involved with CSF and the Christian Club. He has verbally committed to UC Davis and has offers from Montana State, Sac State, UNLV and Univ. of Wyoming.
Female Pag Meter Player of the Week
Heather Ayerza is a returning four year varsity starter for softball and volleyball for the Clovis Broncos. Heather received First Team all league TRAC for softball the past three years (first freshman in CN softball history), and was also selected for the Pag Meter All Star team.
Heather has served as team captain the past three seasons for both sports. She represents softball for the Athletic Leadership Council at Clovis North. Heather has received the offensive leader award for both sports multiple times and holds the school record for most assists in a single season for volleyball and the batting average and stolen bases record for softball.
Most recently, she received the All Tournament team award at the Clovis Invitational volleyball tournament and the MVP award at the Clovis North Hard Driven volleyball tournament. She has earned the Athletic Scholar award the past three years for both sports. She is an honor roll student and California Scholastic Federation member with a GPA of 3.9 who is concurrently enrolled in the Clovis Community College Advantage Program. Heather is proud to be a part of the Clovis North volleyball team – currently undefeated in the TRAC, ranked 9 in the state and 1 in the Central Section.
