The best game of the week and it’s played on Thursday night.
Both teams have had 2 weeks to get ready for this showdown.
The Mustangs have had 2 weeks to think about the loss to Redwood 27-22.
The Bullpups beat a good Porterville team 35-14.
This has the makings to be a Thursday night shootout.
Both teams have plenty of firepower on offense. The Mustangs are led by red hot senior QB Elijah Burrell who has thrown for 1,075 yards and 15 TD passes. The Mustangs have unleashed Burrell and he’s having a heck of a year. RB Tairyn Johnson, comes in rushing for 290 yards and has scored 3 TD’s. The Eagles beat Nipomo 21-6. QB Ethan Royal scored 3 TD’s.
The X factor is Eagles outstanding RB Caleb Tomasin has a torn MCL and is out. This is a huge loss for the Eagles. The Knights are very good on defense and the running game but struggle in the passing and kicking game. QB Weiner has to relax and play catch with his amazing receivers. If the Knights are really the No 4 ranked team they should roll this week. Next week is another big game vs Memorial at Ratcliffe Stadium.
For the Eagles, they are coming right at you and the Knights better strap it up. The Eagles will need somebody to step up for Tomasin.

The Hawks come in beating Kerman 21-6.
The Stallions beat up Fresno High 49-28.
The X factor is both defenses. The Hawks have yet to play against a Wing T offense so can the Hawks speedy defense step up? The Stallions lost to Kerman and Mission Oak beat Kerman so Mission Oak should win but football is all about matchups.
