The Grizzlies battled Roosevelt in a loss 27-10.
The X factor is the Panthers offense vs the Grizzlies defense. Something has to give. Both teams beat Orange Cove so this should be a real good game. Last year Granite Hills beat Corcoran 22-19. This should be another close game. IT SURE WAS!!

The Golden Eagles come in losing to San Jose powerhouse Valley Christian 34-12. The Halftime score was 14-12 and the Golden Eagles offense was shut down in the 2nd half.
The Knights beat up Pitman 63-10. The Knights played their first home game in school history at Don Arax Field. Shalom Welch scored on 4 rushing TD’s, and caught a TD pass from Bryce Weiner. Dre Greeley also caught a TD pass from Weiner.
The X factor is teams now watch film of Clovis West and to beat Clovis West is to force them to pass. CW has a good offensive line, a couple of real good running backs with Brandon Wafer and Mateo Morales but teams are now loading the box.
The Knights secondary is as good as it gets so can Clovis West run the football against a very good Knights defense? The Knights running game is better than the Golden Eagles running game. The Knights have a tad better passing game. This is always a great rivalry and Thursday Night Football strange things can happen.
Last year Bullard beat Clovis West 37-35 and Clovis West owns the series 28-11 which was started in 1979.

Both teams have won 3 games and both teams have lost to Washington Union. Both teams lost because of turnovers and too many penalties.
The X factor is both defenses and who will step up playing against both offenses that can put plenty of points.
Can Coyotes QB Isaiah Martinez stay hot? RB Jeremiah Sanchez is also on fire.
For the Bears, QB Joey Ramirez and the running backs of Adam Rodriguez and Aaron Blancas are also having tremendous years. Both offensive lines are very good. The pressure is on the defense and turnovers. Selma will not play a home game this year because of the new stadium is not ready but loves field turf. This could be another shootout.

The X factor is this is a great Eastside rivalry with both schools 15 minutes away from each other. If there is a good time to play the Tigers it would be now. For 2 weeks, the Tigers haven’t played good Tigers football but they could be waiting for the Cardinals.
Last year the Tigers beat up the Cardinals 49-7. Can the Cardinals defense step up and slow down QB Damian Hernandez who has thrown for 702 yards? Can the Tigers slow down Trujillo?

Ricardo Aguirre recovered two fumbles, while Isaac Villalobos and Anthony Ontives forced a fumble.

The X factor is star running back Caleb Tomasin who got hurt late in the Lompoc game will be out at least this week and could be out for the year with a knee injury. In 4 games Caleb has 89 carries for 709 yards and 8 of their 15 team TD’s. That’s a huge blow for a great running team.
The game will be played at Nipomo’s newly-upgraded stadium. Last year the Eagles shutout the Titans 38-0.

The other big question for the Cougars is when will they unleash sophomore QB Nate Johnson? Nate will play all over and the Cougars will get him the ball anyway they can because he’s dangerous. The future Division 1 college football player will make the Cougars an instant contender with Johnson at QB because he’s special. Most teams are hoping the Cougars stick to the same offense for a while longer.

CE actually completed a TD passes when Chandler Hamilton caught a 10-yard TD from Sean Kelly.
The X factor is the T Wolves defense vs the explosive Panthers offense that can score on any play. Can the T Wolves offense control the clock and keep the SJM offense on the sidelines? Last year the Panthers beat the Wolves 28-21. Look for the Den to be packed and loud. If the T Wolves can play like Kingsburg did on defense vs SJM, Lamonica could be rocking! Memorial will bring about 43 student fans and could have a holy bowl hangover.
