PAGMETER WEEK 4 FOOTBALL

WEDNESDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FINAL

Lancaster Eagles (0-2) at California City Ravens (3-1)
Pag Meter Line Cal City -35+
One of the hottest teams in the section are the Ravens and getting better every week.
Lancaster comes in losing to Valley Christian 41-6.
The Ravens shutout Foothill 32-0 with a fast and physical defense. The Ravens had two pick 6 with one from Robert Mitchell and one from Chris Richardson. QB Jeremiah Neal threw 2 TD passes, each to Robert Mitchell (60 yards) and Kwamain Ross (55 yards). Freshman RB Nathan Baker scored on a 12-yard TD run.
The X factor is the Ravens defense vs a struggling Eagles offense.
Pag Meter Prediction Cal City 44 Lancaster 6

FINAL CAL CITY 38 LANCASTER 0
Due to scheduling issues. The game was played on Wednesday night. QB Jeremiah Neal threw 4 TD’s, 3 of them to Kwamain Ross and one to Roosevelt Toussain. The defense had 8 sacks and held them to around 30 yards of total offense. It’s the 2nd straight shutout for the red hot Ravens and 6 points in the last 3 games.

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FINALS

Mission Prep Royals (1-2) at Greenfield Bruins (0-3)
Pag Meter Line Mission Preps -14
The X factor is the Royals will come in pissed off after losing to Kern Valley 21-20. Mission Prep went for the 2 points early in the 4th quarter but was stopped.
Pag Meter Prediction Mission Prep 35 Greenfield 21

FINAL MISSION PREP 34 GREENFIELD 20

Liberty Patriots (3-1) at Buchanan Bears (3-1)
Pag Meter Line Buchanan -4
WHY IS THIS BIG GAME ON THURSDAY!
The big showdown game and some big players might not play. The Patriots starting QB Haden Mann, has been out with a bad ankle. The Patriots are listing Mann day to day and we all know that ankles can last for a LONG time.
The Patriots come in beating Clovis West 17-7. The Patriots defense stuffed the Golden Eagles offense with 41 yards of rushing. Ramon Henderson returned a kickoff 93 yards for a TD. Brayden Blevins kicked a field goal and a short TD run by Prentice Boone.
Buchanan beat Edison 17-0 and the Bears’ defense stuffed the Tigers. Word has it that Kendall Melton might play but I doubt that. Kendall will not play unless he is 100 % especially with De La Salle coming up.
The X factor is both defenses are real good and if Mann doesn’t play the Patriots offense might struggle. The Patriots will need some big plays to win this one.
Last year in the Semifinals Brayden Blevins kicked the game winning field goal with no time left in the game. This game is tough to call with so many X factors. It has the makings to be a low scoring game.
Pag Meter Prediction Buchanan 13 Liberty 9

FINAL BUCHANAN 19 LIBERTY 17
Big night for Cade Uehling who scored on a short pass and took it down the sideline for a 75-yard TD pass from DJ Stevenson, also sprinted up the middle for a 73-yard TD run! Brandon Hernandez with a 4-yard TD catch in the back of the End zone from DJ Stevenson.

Madera South (1-2) at Golden West Trailblazers (4-0)
Pag Meter Line Golden West -21
The big win in week 4 was Madera South beating Wasco 42-12. Beware division 5 because with the Stallions murder schedule, division 5 will be a breeze.
Golden West beat division 2 Nipomo 39-17. Lonnie Wessel, rushed for a career-high 262 yards and scored 5 TD’s. The Trailblazers rushed for 474 yards while averaging 10.5 yards per carry.
Golden West fullback Lonnie Wessel has scored 13 total touchdowns this season.
The X factor can the Stallions crank it up for a physical offense? If the Stallions can bring it like in week 3…..we got a ball game. If not, GW will roll. Thursday night football, wild things happen. Can the Stallions slow down Wessel. NOPE.  This is a short week and not good for the young Stallions.

RB Roman Rodriguez has quietly rushed for over 100 yds every game and on pace for 1000+ yard season. The Broncos defense is also very good!! It won’t be easy at Ratcliffe for the Broncos. The Tigers have played a killer schedule and most teams would be 0-3 as well. The Tigers coaching staff has to work overtime with this group because at Edison when they start 0-3, the community goes wild. If  0-4, the Westside might shut down…lol
