Porterville vs Hanford 9.13.19
Porterville High School vs. Hanford High School, 9.13.19
This Friday The Porterville Panthers will have their first official home game against the Hanford High Bullpups. Last season, the Panthers beat the Bullpups, 24-20 motivating the team as they go into the game. Both teams are undefeated this season, making this game one that will undoubtedly have everyone on the edge of their seats.
Last week’s victory over the Granite Hills Grizzlies gave the team a spark of confidence and a stronger drive to win. Senior defensive tackle, Charles Finely confidently stated, “It’s going to be an easy game, as long as we take all of the plays, everything should go right.” On the more conservative side, Head Coach Michael Machado commented, “Hanford High School’s a pretty good football team. They are 3-0. They have a lot of athletes, it’s going to be a very difficult game on Friday. We need to play well, limit our turnovers and make sure we make the plays that need to be made when they’re available”.
So far this season, the Panthers have been successful in their games, and able to prove all of the other predictions made about them wrong, which is why I have no doubt they will bring home a win again this week.
In all of my years watching football have I never seen a team give up and kneel the football with 2 mins remaining in the game it was crazy that porterville did that
So Porterville wanted to get it over with?
