The X factor is the front seven on the defensive side because both teams love to pound the ball.

Rosamond Roadrunners (2-1) at Arvin Bears (1-2)
Pag Meter Line Rosamond -13
The X factor will be the Bears’ defense vs the Roadrunners passing attack and QB Colby Adams? Last year Arvin won in a shootout 42-39. The Bears offense has to step up.
Pag Meter Prediction (Upset special) Arvin 23 Rosamond 20
FINAL ARVIN 45 ROSAMOND 20
Buchanan Bears (2-1) vs Edison Tigers (0-3)
Pag Meter Line Buchanan -28
The Bears come in beating Bullard 28-14. Just like last year, Kendall Milton gets hurt early in the year and this time it’s a strained quad he hurt in week 1. The Bears Defense and the offensive line won the game over Bullard. Sophomore Caden Rogers stepped up and scored on two 3-yard TD runs and senior Dante Lawson scored on a 3-yard TD run. Darrien Gains made a great 5-yard TD catch from D.J. Stevenson.
Edison lost to Clovis West 25-7 and with the Tigers being a mess, they now have to face the top defense in the Central Section.
It looks like Kendall will not play and if he does play this year and some say it’s doubtful, it would be by league time.
The X factor is the Tigers slumping offense vs the Bears great defense. The Tigers speed should match up well with the Bears especially with the slumping Bears passing attack but because the Bears offensive line with Shane Pond, Matt Merritt, Zane Rix, Kasen James and Okey Egbuziem, along with the Bears fantastic defense are so good, the Tigers are looking to go 0-3.
Pag Meter Prediction Buchanan 35 Edison 7
FINAL BUCHANAN 17 EDISON 0

A battle of 2 hot teams.
The Hawks come in hanging on over Mendota 17-14. 3 huge fumbles in the 4th quarter for the Hawks. The Titans come back to beat Monache 23-14.
The X factor is the Hawks Wing T vs a very good Titans defense. This game comes down to Turnovers. Can the Hawks slow down red hot junior QB Cameron Huerta and junior Johanthan Rivas? The Titans will have to tackle juniors Quentin Stewart who is averaging 156 yards per game and Nick Anselmo. This should be a great game!
Pag Meter Prediction Liberty Ranchos 27 Chavez 24
FINAL CHAVEZ 29 LIBERTY RANCHOS 21

The X factor is the Eagles D-line vs the Tribe running attack.
Pag Meter Prediction Chowchilla 31 Immanuel 23
FINAL CHOWCHILLA 17 IMMANUEL 14
Clovis Cougars (2-1) vs Bullard Knights (1-1)
Pag Meter Line Clovis -7
One of the greatest non league rivalries in the Central Section. Back when Clovis and Bullard played in the NYL, it was a fantastic battle and the alumni for both schools remember every game including the Pag Meter.
The Cougars steam rolled to a 2-0 start playing tremendous defense along with a red hot offense. Senior QB Isaiah Robles has thrown for 352 yards with 6 TD’s in 2 games. WR Grant Lake has caught 8 passes for 202 yards and has scored 4 TD’s.
The Knights lost to Buchanan 28-14. The score looks good but it wasn’t a close game. Dre Greeley caught 2 TD passes from Jaden Pierucci who played tremendous in the 2nd half. Starting QB Bryce Weiner was out sick.
The X factor and just like last year, the Cougars are 2-0 and the Knights come in losing to the Bears so how will the Knights do this year? Last year the Cougars beat the Knights 17-14 in a great game. The Cougars lead the all time series starting in 1959 with a 34-12 record and the Cougars have won 3 straight. Can the Knights get back to pounding the football?
Can the Knights offense improve this week vs a real good Cougars defense?
Pag Meter Prediction Clovis 27 Bullard 20
FINAL BULLARD 19 CLOVIS 7
Liberty Patriots (3-0) vs Clovis West Golden Eagles (2-1)
Pag Meter Line Liberty -14
The Patriots come to Lamonica and they are the most talked about team because most want to see just how good the Patriots are. The Pates come in beating a speedy Ridgeview team 21-13. On the Patriots first play, Haden Mann hit Ramon Henderson on an 85-yard touchdown pass. Henderson finished with 5 catches for 146 yards and also caught a 24-yard TD pass. Mann went 11-20 passing for 224 yards and 3 TD’s. Dylan Tooker caught a 31-yard TD pass. Prentice Boone rushed for 81 yards on 18 carries.
For Clovis West, the talk was they might not win a game this year but coach Tim Randall has the Golden Eagles at 2-0. Senior RB Brandon Wafer has rushed for over 300 yards on the year and the Golden Eagles are playing tremendous defense.
The X factor is the Golden Eagles passing game because they will have to throw the ball this week to hang with the Patriots. We will find out a lot about both of these teams after this game.

The X factor is the Pirates have to move the ball with long drives and keep Emperors offfense on the sidelines. Dinuba needs this win especially with the tough CSL coming up. This isn’t the same Pirates team like the last 8 years. Coach Gates has the Pirates moving in the right direction. The Emperors have a zero running game after 2 games and that’s why they are 0-2.

Carmel Padres (1-1) at Templeton Eagles (2-0)
Pag Meter Line Carmel -7
The Padres are very good and they will lead with 3-year starting QB Kai Lee.
The Eagles come off a bye and this would be a huge win if the Eagles can pull this off.
The X factor is the Eagles defense vs an explosive offense.
