The REAL REAL PAG METER TOP 30 FOOTBALL RANKINGS

Down below are the new Divisional Placements for each division

No 1 CENTRAL GRIZZLIES
Defending Back to Back Central Section Champions have to start No 1 even though they lost the best Central Section QB maybe ever. Offense returns 8 Starters and Defense returns 7 starters.
The big X factor will be ….who will step in and try to be the next Trent Tompkins? That will be impossible and the Grizzlies could be a more of a running down hill offense. This year we all know just how great Trent Tompkins really was!! Seniors Jameson Silva who transferred in from Edison and DJ Frampton who transferred in from Clovis North are battling to be the QB. RB Quali Conley will be even better this year and has to stay healthy because he will get plenty of carries. The Wideouts will be fantastic with Jeremiah Hunter who has verbally committed to play at Cal, Manuel Oliver-Davis, David Brown, Xavier Worthy, AJ Simpson and Jermaine Fuller. The Grizzlies BIG X Factor is can the QB get the ball to the wideouts?
Offensive line is returning 4 starters with Matt “Red” McCallough, DJ Tatum, Robert Lopez and E.J. Bergquist. On Defense returns 3 DL who all have starting experience. Having a GREAT off-season and finally 100% healthy is Ricky Correia. Cameron Vaughan has put on 20 LBS of muscle and Daunte Namulauulu will be able to play all 3 spots up front. A couple of Edison transfers Isa Watson and Jaylen Tate are battling for starting spots. Both starting ILB, Shando Lopez & Pag Meter All Star Je’kob Jones are back and will be even better. Dominic Mendez will be a 3 year starter on defense and a man beast. Sean Haymon (CB) , Ye’Brell Emerson will be leading the secondary

No 2 BUCHANAN BEARS
Should be even better this year. Senior RB Kendall Milton is a beast. Keep an eye on Junior Quarterback DJ Stevenson who is working his tail off!! The Offensive line and defense will be very good

No 3 MEMORIAL PANTHERS
Now in Division 2 and the team to beat. Back to back Division 3 Champions. Junior QB Finn Collins transfers in from Loyola High School and expected to be throwing to Jalen McMillian and Mac Dalena. Leading to way up front is big senior Tobin Phillips. Look for a bunch of new Panther players this football season and SJM has the makings to be even better this year!!

No 4 LIBERTY PATRIOTS
Loaded, big and physical! The Patriots graduate some major talent but young Patriots will be stars in a hurry. Big and strong junior Haden Mann is ready to take over at QB

No 5 BULLARD KNIGHTS
Has an amazing coaching staff!! Donny Arax and Yosef Fares are Co-head Coaches. The Knights have tremendous talent on both sides of the ball. Junior QB Bryce Weiner should have a fantastic year and the Knights the X factor if they want to make some noise in the division 1 playoffs

No 6 EDISON TIGERS
The Tigers have cleaned house in so many ways. HC Atnaf Harris is loving this new hard working Tigers squad. The new Offensive Coordinator is former Fresno High Head Coach Joe Marquez. Joe was the former OC at Edison when Matt Johnson was the Head Coach.  The Tigers have lost a ton due to transfers. Tigers finally have early morning football PE. The Tigers problem lately is players transferring. Last years QB Jamison Silva is now at Central and Tory Horton is now at Washington Union. Isa Watson and Jaylen Tate are now at Central.
The Tigers have got better this offseason and will have a new coaching staff with HC Atnaf Harris. This year is probably the strongest group collectively in the history of the program in the weight room. Defense to be the catalyst of the Tigers team returning 8 starters. The #1 cornerback in the Section will be Dezjohn Malone (verbally committed to play at Fresno State) who will anchor the defense along with MLB Josh Allison & OLB Rayshon Harding who will be a Pag Meter defensive player of the year candidate. The Offense returns 6 starters and a host of young talent that is promising. The QB battle is on with soon to be sophomore Ian Miller who took every rep at QB during spring ball and brand new transfer from Memorial with junior QB Justin Klair and he has a fantastic arm. They both have to play so Ian could take over the JV team to get some snaps in. Velltray jefferson (WR) returns for his junior year and expecting a huge season at 6’4 205. Playing opposite side of Veltre will be 6’3 200 pound sophomore Tyrese Fairly who is just a beast and a elite basketball player. The RB returning is Brenden San Mateo and he is good! Backing Brenden will be Miles Lee who is Mckinley Lee lll younger brother. Miles is big, strong, fast and runs with an attitude. Jaidarius jackson who does it all is a big RB that squats over 500 lbs and benches 300 lbs. The Tigers return 3 offensive lineman who have owned the weight room, very athletic and hungry and anchored by 6’5 330 Hector Cisneros who squats over 500 lbs and benched 315 lbs

No 7 CLOVIS EAST T WOLVES
The T Wolves have not decided if the will play in division 1 or division 2 and will be a big contender. I’m thinking the T Wolves will stay in division 1. Stay tuned! Big  early showdown will be against Memorial at Lamonica on Sept 20.
Some of our senior leaders will be Chandler Hamilton (RB/S),  Jo Nation Dejohnette, (RB/LB),  Blake Baldwin (FB/LB), Christian Hudiburgh (DE/FB),  and Josh Sue at QB. Junior Jacob Tafoya RB/LB will be outstanding at running back

No 8 CLOVIS COUGARS
Junior Keanu Williams will be a beast on the defensive line. X factor every year is the Cougars QB

No 9 BAKERSFIELD DRILLERS
New head coach is Michael Stewart who played at Bakersfield. The former NFL defensive back has the Drillers working hard. A big blow with a couple of Driller star players, Isaac and Ian Jernagin, will be leaving Bakersfield High School and will enroll at Santa Margarita High in Orange County

No 10 TULARE UNION TRIBE
The Tribe will have a new young QB. Keep an eye on stud Xavier Haley who will be the next Tribe star. The Tribe will reload with plenty of speed

No 11 DINUBA EMPERORS
New Head Coach is long time defensive DC Carlos Barajas. QB Josh Magana is ready to have a breakout senior year. 3 year starter Johnny Garcia returns on the DL along with Javier Martinez. All the linebackers will be returning with Jose Del Rio and Justin Gonzales. On offense the Emperors will return 4 starting Linemen.  RB Devon Mendoza returns after rushing for 652 yards. The new OC will be former star Emperors QB David Rico

No 12 TULARE WESTERN MUSTANGS
17 returning starters from last year and a brand new wide open offense. (It’s about time). Senior QB Elijah Burrell can finally do his thing and not that silly wing T any longer. This team has the makings to be scary good with senior RB Tairyn Johnson, sophomore DB/RB/WR Mikey Ficher, DB/WR Jordan Burrell and keep and eye on Henry Williams who who will play TE/H back

No 13 GARCES RAMS
New head coach Paul Golla will have the the Rams ready for a division 2 run. One of the best QB’s in the section is senior Joseph Campbell and he will be ready for a big year

No 14 RIDGEVIEW WOLF PACK
The Wolf Pack have new Head Coach Rich Cornford and Dennis Manning will be the assistant coach. Senior QB Justin Hinzo comes off a real good junior year and has a cannon. Justin will have a ton of talent around him with running backs Shawn Allen and Alijah Alexander-Williams and receivers Anthony Ramirez and Zion Hall. If the Pack plays good defense then they will easily be in the top 10…

No 15 HANFORD BULLPUPS
Here is a team that has the makings to be real good! If senior QB QB Juaron Watts-Brown goes off then the Bullpups will be a big time contender. Hanford was pretty young last year. Senior running back Travone Houston returns and he could have a big year. The offensive line will be very good along with the defense and leading the D will be seniors Tyler Mello (OLB) and Thomas Knight (MLB)

No 16 BAKERSFIELD CHRISTIAN EAGLES
The Eagles are the team to beat in division 3. Leading the way and one of the best players in the section is DE/TE Ben Yorosek. Is senior QB Dominic Gamboni ready to take over and lead the Eagles? The Eagles will have plenty of talent with Chris Gutierrez, David Stephenson, Shawn Warren and Ronnie Simril.

No 17 CLOVIS NORTH BRONCOS
New Head Coach is Mike Jacot and new offensive Coordinator is George Petrissans who was the CW Head Coach. The Broncos have not decided if they will play in division 1 or division 2. I’m thinking they stay in division 1. Stay tuned. The Broncos will be much better than last year. Senior QB Trenton Luera is big, strong and very smart and will have the Broncos competing for a division 2 championship. One of the best lineman in the TRAC will be senior Cade Foraker. The wideouts will be very good with senior Caden Eaves and junior Brandon Lemee. The Future looks good for the Broncos with their youth

No 18 RIGHETTI HIGH WARRIORS
Defending Mountain League Champions. Head Coach Tony Payne will have a physical Warriors team just like last year. Senior QB Logan Mortensen is looking to have a big year. Leading the way is Pag Meter All Star senior WR/DB Jake Steels

No 19 ST JOSEPH KNIGHTS
Now playing Division 2. Senior Ben Camarena is the leader in the club house to be the next QB

Physical team last year and graduated some big players. Leading the way will be senior LB/RB Caleb Tomasin

New Head Coach is Former Dinuba Emperors HC Kevin Scharton and he will have the Rangers very good in a hurry. The Rangers opening game is against his old team

No 22 SANGER APACHES
Back in division 2 where they belong. Leading the way will be senior running backs of Kosi Agina and Pierce Jones. Senior QB Noel Collazo returns from last year

No 23 CLOVIS WEST GOLDEN EAGLES
New Head Coach is Tim Randall. Who will step up to be the new Golden Eagles QB?

No 24 CVC CAVALIERS
The defending 4 Champions are now in division 3 and has one of the best running backs in the state with senior Jaalen Rening. Outstanding offensive and defensive lineman Dirk Nelson will be ready for a big senior year

No 25 PORTERVILLE PANTHERS
The Panthers will be the heavy favorites in division 4. Junior QB Hector Nava is back after throwing last year for 2,756 yards and 23 TD passes

No 26 GOLDEN WEST TRAILBLAZERS
The Blazers were young last year and this year they move up to division 3. Leading the way will be the Wessel brothers with Lonnie and Michael who both had a tremendous sophomore year

No 27 CENTENNIAL GOLDEN HAWKS
The Golden Hawks were young last year and this year could be a contender.  Senior Max Richey, takes over a QB for new Head Coach Richard Starrett.

No 28 STOCKDALE MUSTANGS
HUGE BLOW FOR THE MUSTANGS. One of the top QB’s in the section Senior QB Evan Burkhart was down in Southern California competing in a non-contact football clinic and stepped on an opposing players foot while running a route and tore the ACL in his left knee. He just planted, turned and that foot never released and tore the ACL. A total freak accident

No 29 KINGSBURG VIKINGS
Leading the way is junior QB Jett Jackson who is dangerous running and throwing the football

No 30 FRONTIER TITANS
Very streaky last year and will be better this year. 6’4 Sophomore Travis Plugge will take over at quarterback and has the makings of a big time QB. Look for the Titans to get better and better each week!
