Bullard Knights Marcus Fulcher  is now the 2nd all-time career rushing leader at Bullard with 3779 yards. 1,403 rushing yards so far for the year.  Passed (UNLV) Charles Williams, 3,580 yards. (2014-2015)
The all time leader is Demetrius Warren with 4,456 yards. (2009-2011)

Pretty cool that this is the 50th annual Granite Bowl game and it should be a great finish!!

Just like last year both teams come in at 9-0. Last year Kazmeir Allen and the Tribe ran all over the Mustangs 62-41 and Kaz scored 7 TD’s,rushed for 310 yards.
This year Kaz graduated and the Tribe still has QB Nathan Lamb, who has thrown for 2,964 yards and 38 TD passes. Lamb’s favorite WR’s are Darius Baker, (1,026 yards, 54 Receptions, 16 TD’s) and Willie James, (828 yards, 51 Receptions, 11 TD’s).
For the Mustangs they will lead with RB Tairyn Johnson, who has rushed for 1,519 yards, 25 TD’s along with Mikey Ficher and Andrew Davis.
The Tribe are retiring the numbers of Zac Diles, Virgil Green, Bryce Harris and Dominique Dorsey. Tairyn Johnson reminds a lot of Tulare folks of Dominique Dorsey which is one heck of a complement.
The Mustangs defense is lead by Jordan Burrell, who leads the valley with 7 interceptions.
The Tribe defense comes in red hot with 24 straight quarters without giving up a Touchdown. 6 STRAIGHT GAMES! The Tribe is on a 26 straight regular-season game winning streak.
The X factor is PRESSURE! Can the Mustangs bring the defensive pressure??
The Mustangs have been watching the Tribe’s media show all year long and the Tribe has deserved all the attention because they are the defending Champions but let me tell you…..NOBODY is talking about this Mustangs team!! They are kicking ASS and taking names. They show up….pound you and onto the next game. This Mustangs team is scary good!!
When playing against the Tribes offense this year, teams have decided to drop 8 in coverage and let Nate Lamb play 7 vs 7 football and the Tribe offense has been steamrolling teams. It hasn’t worked because Lamb is crushing it. The Teams that the Tribe have played have a zero pass rush.
Not in this game!!
I’m thinking Lamb will be uncomfortable standing in the pocket with major pressure because the Mustangs defensive front is GOOD!! The Mustangs need to bring it and if the Mustangs can put pressure like I think they can, the Mustangs will win and win big! If the Mustangs can’t put pressure on the Tribe passing game then the Tribe will win. There is no more Kaz and if the Mustangs can bring in a physical attitude then they will be just fine and the Tribe 26 game winning streak will fall. You just know the Tribe are expecting to roll against their cross town rival just like last year.
If the Mustangs come in and they are thinking they are playing Kaz’s superteam then the Tribe will roll. Sometimes football is all between the ears and sometimes you just have to strap it up and hit somebody over and over every play. Do the Mustangs believe? Stay tuned!
