THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FINAL SCORES

The is a tough matchup for the Stallions. MS offense is getting better but the defense is struggling.
The Knights offense is starting to get it at the right time of year. RB Marcus Fulcher is finally 100 % healthy and showing the valley he’s one of the best. The defense is starting to really fly around the ball and leading the way is Dre Greeley and Kobe Jenkins. This is a great time for Sophomore QB Bryce Weiner to grow and get experience and also to see if he can lead the Knights for the next 2 years. The Pag Meter is an old Knights QB and being a leader at QB is out working everybody on the team and when you have a minor injury, you tape it up and show your team you are ready to go into battle. The Knights haven’t really had a leader at QB in a while. Bryce has sooooo much potential and the team has to believe and I believe in Weiner.
The X factor is there is NOT one team in division 4 that would win a game in the CMAC and the CIF has to get Madera South OUT of the CMAC ASAP. It’s that simple. What the heck does Madera South have to look forward too? Head Coach Matt Johnson is trying to build a football culture from scratch and it won’t happen anytime soon playing against division 1 teams.

The Marauders big game is next week vs Porterville and it will be for the No 2 seed in the division 4 playoffs.
The X factor is the Mustangs also have a huge game next week and they will play Tulare Union in the Bell game. The Bell game will be for the EYL Championship and the No 1 seed in the division 2 playoffs. If there is a rematch in the division 2 Championship game, it will be played again at Bob Mathias Stadium. Both teams play there so for the Mustangs win or lose, they have to prepare to play the Tribe again on Championship Friday.
That’s right, there’s a game this week. The Mustangs are a heavy favorite and they have to take care of business and not look ahead to next week. Nobody is talking about about the very good Mustangs and they like it that way.
RB Tairyn Johnson wasn’t feeling well so his buddy’s stepped up for him. Senior Andrew Davis rushed for 65 yards and scored 3 TD’s. Sophomore Rolondo Holmes scored 2 TD’s in the won over Mission Oak 49-0.
The Marauders are led by junior RB Aidan Galvan who has rushed for 1,173 yards and has scored 20 total TD’s. Galvan is the first running back to go over 1,000 yards rushing under Marauders’ head coach Chris Frankland.

The X factor if the Bears offense shows up like it did when they played Madera in double overtime then we got a ball game. The Bears lost 57-55 but the offense was outstanding.
This will be the last Varsity game played in Staley Stadium. The stadium will be knocked down in December and a new stadium will be built in its place. So many GREAT games played at Staley Stadium.

The Panthers come in thumping Edison 41-14. QB Alec Trujillo went 15-23 for 215 yards and 2 TD passes.
The Coyotes lost to Bullard 49-27.
The X factor there is no secret that the Coyotes defense gives up over 42 points a game and now they play Memorial who averages 45 points per game.
The only chance the Coyotes have in this game is the Coyotes offense has to score 60 plus and hopes for the Panthers to only scores 55.
One little problem….Edison scored 62 in Madera and Edison only scored 14 on Memorial. The Panthers defense is real good. Memorial is a very dangerous team!
The Panthers will not have Leonard Glass in this game because he got the boot in the Edison game. The Panthers have plenty of backs to step up.
Last year SJM beat Madera 54-19, Alec Trujillo threw 348 yards and 4 TD’s. Jalen McMillan has been kind of quiet since the holy bowl so I’m thinking Jalen goes off in this one.
The last win for a Madera team in the CMAC (not counting Madera vs Madera south) was on Oct 10 2014.

The X factor last year Sanger beat Edison 27-20. Edison came in loaded and Sanger was very young and the Apaches still took care of business. This week is the 38th meeting Sanger vs Edison and Sanger owns the series 22-15. The reason is and it’s simple, Edison has much more talent but Sanger is much more discipline. This year….stay tuned!

The X factor last year the Lions beat the Hawks 56-26. It was too much Sean Chambers for the Hawks. This years Lions QB is Gavin Layton and he is good. The Lions can throw it and the Hawks can’t and that could be the difference. Can the Hawks slow down Lions red hot receiver Trace Silva? Can the Lions slowdown Roth? Football is all about matchups and we will see if the Hawks matchup with the Lions.

It’s the power of the Thunderbirds running attack with a very good offensive line and the running backs with Tyreak Walker (1,203 rushing yards, 15 TD’s) and Yoncanni Sandoval (588 rushing yards, 9 TD’s) vs Generals QB Alex Aguilar who has thrown for 2,180 yards, 29 TD passes and has rushed for 829 yards and has scored 13 TD’s.
The X factor and it’s simple…which defense will make the big stops? Can the Generals front seven matchup with the physical Birds. Can the Birds defense stay with Aguilar?
The Thunderbirds have to slow down the game with long drives and keep the Generals offense on the sidelines. The Generals defense has to force the Birds in 3rd and long situations.

The X factor is the T Wolves will finish at 4-6 and head into the playoffs with a low seed. The Bears defense is tough to run against. Can the T Wolves defense slow down the power running attack of the Bears?

The Golden Eagles come in picking up their first win of the year in a crazy way. QB Dante Chachere went out early in the first quarter with a wrist injury. Moments later CW lost their backup quarterback to injury.
George Petrissans went to the bullpen and told junior Brandon Wafer to warm up. At Halftime big George put in a special package for Wafer and it worked because he scored 3 TD’s and CW pulls out a win over Clovis East 20-14.
For all you out there that think Clovis West has lost it…..let me tell you, George of the Jungle can flat out coach!! Nobody goes in at halftime and creates a game plan out of thin air and wins the game!! CW is very young. George has a player at Oklahoma (Caleb Kelly) and a player at Nebraska (Adrian Martinez) so I’m thinking George can coach!!
The X factor is Dante Chachere is done for the year and the new starting QB will be junior David Pierro and he has go against the No 1 team on the Pag Meter. That sounds like fun.
How does the Golden Eagles slow down the Valley’s leading QB Trent Tompkins??

The Broncos need to make their offense a tad easier. For starters the Broncos line up on the ball, they check the sidelines for the play from the coach, then the team looks at their wristband and then the receivers run across the field to line up and sometimes they run back again and it happens almost every play. It’s like a comedy act.
