THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FINAL SCORES

EAST YOSEMITE
DELANO TIGER (3-5) (0-3) vs MONACHE MARAUDERS (6-2) (2-1)
Pag Meter Line Monache -25
The X factor is the Tigers are struggling on both sides of the ball to open the EYL and getting shut out 108-0. They did have to play the two best with Tulare Union and Tulare Western.
The Marauders are a good team and also got shut out against Tulare Union 35-0.
The Marauders in this game have the better offense and leading the way is running back Aidan Galvan who has rushed for 996 yards and has scored 16 TD’s.
Pag Meter Prediction Monache 42 Delano 17 (Monache 37 Delano 13) Aidan Galvan rushed for 177 yards and scored 2 TD’s, also ran back a 94 kickoff for a TD. For the year Galvan has now rushed for 1,173 yards

No 17 PORTERVILLE PANTHERS (6-2) (1-2) at No 5 TULARE UNION TRIBE (8-0) (3-0)
Pag Meter Line Tulare Union -35+
The Panthers found out on Friday that the No 2 team in division 2 is real good losing to TW 50-26. Hector Nava Jr did throw for 295 yards with 2 TD passes but was picked off 3 times.
For the Tribe they come in smoking hot on defense with 4 straight games without giving up a point.
The X factor is the Tribe will bring tremendous pressure against Nava Jr along with man to man defense. Tribe QB Nate Lamb has now thrown for 9,000 career passing yards with 98 touchdowns.
The Panthers could break the Tribe shutout streak but they won’t have enough to pull the upset.
Pag Meter Prediction Tulare Union 55 Porterville 14 (TU 49 Porterville 0) 5 straight games with a shutout! Nate Lamb with 4 TD passes.  Lamb now has 33 TD’s on the year and 102 in his career.

NORTH YOSEMITE
REEDLEY PIRATES (3-5) (1-2) vs FRESNO HIGH WARRIORS (4-4) (3-0)
Pag Meter Line Fresno High -7

The Pirates coming in beating McLane 41-21. Jairo Aguillar scored 3 TD’s, Max Alvarez scored on a 33-yard run. The Pirates had a 41-7 lead at the half so this game wasn’t close.
The Warriors beat Sunnyside 19-16. New transfer from Central QB Nathaniel Najera threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Devon King and also scored on a 3-yard TD run.
The X factor is the Pirates defense and slowing down Najera. The Pirates offense needs to pound the ball and keep the Warriors offense on the sidelines.
Thursday night is the night for upsets!
Pag Meter Prediction Fresno High 27 Reedley 20 (Fresno High 28 Reedley 20) Pag Meter almost nailed the score!

ROOSEVELT ROUGH RIDERS (6-2) (2-1) at MCLANE HIGHLANDERS (4-4) (0-3)
Pag Meter Line Roosevelt -27
Both teams come in and got beat up in week 8. The Rough Riders lost to Hoover 35-13 and the Highlanders lost to Reedley 41-21. Both teams got beat up on the line of scrimmage.
The X factor is the Rough Riders should have a big first half..
Pag Meter Prediction Roosevelt 41 McLane 14 (Roosevelt 53 McLane 7) Leading the way for the Rough Riders is QB  Angel Maldonado.

TRAC
No 1 CENTRAL GRIZZLIES (8-0) (3-0) vs CLOVIS NORTH BRONCOS (2-5) (1-2)
Pag Meter Line Central -35

If you are ever going to knock off the No 1 team in the Pag Meter rankings, it will be on a Thursday night because it’s the night teams are not fired up, the students attendance is low….basically it’s a bad night to play football.
That being said, the Grizzlies leader is QB Trent Tompkins and I will bet he will have his team ready to roll. This Central team is a machine. They can play on a Tuesday night and they will roll.
Central comes in beating Clovis 53-14. Trent Tompkins threw for 345 yards and 3 TD Passes. For the year Trent has thrown for 2,351 yards with 36 TD passes. For his career Trent has thrown 109 TD passes. Trent has now thrown for 2,805 yards and 40 TD passes.
The Broncos lost to Clovis East 21-6. The Broncos got beat up on the line of scrimmage.
The X factor is Thursday night is the upset night and if this was one of the old Broncos power house teams, Central might be in trouble but it’s not. The Grizzlies will start slow and when they turn it on……game over. Keep an eye on the Grizzlies in the 2nd quarter because that’s when the machine will turn on.
Pag Meter Prediction Central 42 Clovis North 7 (Central 48 Clovis North 14) Trent Tompkins, 23/28, 450 Yards, 4 TD’s. Trent now has thrown
Jeremiah Hunter, 11 catch for 175 yards and 2 TD’s (21 and 35 yards)
Quali Conley, scored 2 TD’s (21 & 9 yards and caught a 60-yard TD pass.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS FINAL SCORES

CMAC
No 6 MEMORIAL PANTHERS (8-0) (3-0) vs No 21 EDISON TIGERS (4-4) (2-1)
Pag Meter Line Memorial -14
Broadcasting live on 940 ESPN Radio
The Tigers have owned the Panthers in the battle of the Cats for a LONG LONG time. If the Panthers are going to break the 30 plus year streak, it better be this year.
The Panthers come in beating Madera South 49-6. QB Alec Trujillo went 15-15 for 363 yards and 5 TD passes. Jalen McMillan caught 4 passes with 2 TD’s. Mac Dalena caught 2 TD passes.
Edison beat Madera 62-38.
The X factor is last year the Tigers defense beat up the Panthers. It was the first test for Trujillo against a division 1 defense and it didn’t go well. One thing that I learned about Trujillo is he can take a hit because he got crushed all night long and he still stood in the pocket. That is something you can’t teach.
This years Tigers defense is not close to last years Tigers defense so the Panthers offense should be just fine. The Tigers have to be able to pound the ball with Mckinley M. lee III who ran wild against a struggling Coyotes defense with 4 TD’s including a 95 yard TD run. He finished close to 300 yards rushing. If the Tigers can’t run it……it will be a long night. The Panthers defense is light years better than the Coyotes defense so the Tigers offense better be on their game. If the Tigers can’t put pressure on Trujillo, look for the Panthers offense to put up huge stat numbers.
The winner will play Sanger for the outright CMAC Championship.
Pag Meter Prediction Memorial 42 Edison 28 (MEMORIAL 41 Edison 14)

No 23 MADERA COYOTES (4-4) (0-3) vs BULLARD KNIGHTS (2-6) (1-2)
Pag Meter LIne Bullard -5
The Coyotes come in losing to Edison 62-48. Colt Nelson threw 4 TD passes. Joziah Velasquez scored on TD runs of 51 and 61 yard runs and caught a TD pass.
The Knights lost to Sanger 38-36 on a last minute field goal. Marcus Fulcher rushed for 237 yards and scored 3 TD’s.
The X factor is the Coyotes defense seems to give up 60 points almost every game and if Fulcher rushed for 227 against the Apaches….he could go for 300+ against the Coyotes. The only way the Coyotes win this game is in a shootout.
The Knights have a real good young QB with sophomore Bryce Weiner and he might just have a breakout game this week.
Pag Meter Prediction Bullard 50 Madera 45 (Bullard 49 Madera 27)

No 12 SANGER APACHES (7-1) (3-0) vs MADERA SOUTH STALLIONS (0-8) (0-3)
Pag Meter Line Sanger -31
The X factor is the Apaches will have enough in Madera to win and get ready for the next 2 weeks vs Sanger and Memorial.
Sanger comes in beating Bullard 38-36. David Ayala nailed a 30 yard Field Goal with 6 seconds to go. Sanger had 428 total yards but gave up 497 yards.
Pag Meter Prediction Sanger 44 Madera South 13 (Sanger 63 Madera South 19)

TRAC
No 8 CLOVIS COUGARS (5-3) (1-2) at No 2 BUCHANAN BEARS (6-2) (2-1)
Pag Meter Line Buchanan -21
The Cougars come in losing to Central 53-14 and Buchanan beat Clovis West 35-7.
The X factor is the Cougars have to play the two best teams back to back. The Buchanan Bears defensive front is better than the Central Grizzlies defensive front so the Bears will put more pressure on the Cougars passing attack.
Can the Cougars slow down the Bears offense of Kendall Milton, Jalen Cropper, Brock Jones. Brock and QB DJ Stevenson?
Pag Meter Prediction Buchanan 42 Clovis 21 (Buchanan 28 Clovis 7)

CLOVIS WEST GOLDEN EAGLES (1-7) (1-2) vs No 11 CLOVIS EAST T WOLVES (4-4) (1-2)
Pag Meter Line Clovis East -4
The Golden Eagles are looking for their first win and now get to play the red hot T Wolves.
CW lost to Buchanan 35-7 and the T Wolves snapped their 41 game TRAC losing streak beating Clovis North 21-6. Ryan Hunt rushed for 127 yards and scored 2 TD’s.
The X factor is this is not a good matchup for the Golden Eagles. The kryptonite for the CW defense is when teams run right at them. Can CW QB Dante Chachere put his team on his back and get them their first win. It’s the only way CW will win.
Can the T Wolves make it the Hat Trick of snapping streaks? No 1 streak, the T Wolves snapped their 27 game losing streak on Aug 24 beating Wood. . No 2 streak, last Friday snapped their 41 game TRAC losing streak. No 3 the T Wolves have not beaten Clovis West since 2006…..Stay tuned.
Pag Meter Prediction Clovis East 36 Clovis West 32 (Clovis West 20 Clovis East 14)

NORTH YOSEMITE
HOOVER PATRIOTS (1-7) (1-2) vs SUNNYSIDE WILDCATS (2-6) (2-1)
Pag Meter Line Hoover -1
The Patriots come in beating Roosevelt 35-13 and it was the upset of the night. Head Coach Rus Pickett gets his first varsity win. Jordan Daniels racked up 418 total yards (90 yards passing, 328 yards rushing which was a school record and scored 4 TDs. Daniels also had a 75-yard INT return for a TD. The 5 TD’s tied a school record.
Sunnyside lost to Fresno High 19-16.
The X factor is nothing this year is working for the Wildcats. They should be favored by 28 points but the Patriots come in the favorite and improving week by week. Hoover is the much tougher team upfront than the Wildcats. Will the real Wildcats show up? They sure did !!
Pag Meter Prediction Hoover 27 Sunnyside 26 (Sunnyside 38 Hoover 18)

SOUTHWEST YOSEMITE
FRONTIER TITANS (2-6) (0-3) at No 4 BAKERSFIELD DRILLERS (6-2) (3-0)
Pag Meter Line Bakersfield -35
The X factor this is not a good matchup for the Titans. The Titans have a zero chance against teams with speed and the Drillers have plenty of speed.
Pag Meter Prediction Bakersfield 55 Frontier 13 (Bakersfield 35 Frontier 7)

No 19 CENTENNIAL GOLDEN HAWKS (5-3) (1-2) at No 22 GARCES RAMS (3-5) (2-1)
Pag Meter Line Centennial-1
The Golden Hawks come in beating Stockdale 41-38 in a great comeback win. Kyle Connelly had his best game throwing for 355 yards and five TD passes and scored the game winning TD. WR Donald Adams caught 7 passes for 223 yards and 4 touchdowns including a 96 yard TD.
Garces hung in against Bakersfield but lost 50-26.
The X factor if one of these teams want to finish at 3-2 in the SWYL, this is a must win. Nobody is beating Liberty and Bakersfield so Centennial, Garces, Frontier and Stockdale are all in play.
Which ever QB plays better between Joseph Campbell and Connelly will have the upper hand.
Pag Meter Prediction Centennial 34 Garces 33 (Garces 31 Centennial 23)

No 3 LIBERTY PATRIOTS (7-1) (3-0) at STOCKDALE MUSTANGS (3-5) (0-3)
Pag Meter Line Liberty -34
The Patriots learned that they got a win back in week 1 to Mission Viejo. MV played with an illegal player and we will never know if that affected the game but an illegal player should not be playing so Liberty is now 6-1.
The X factor is the Patriots are steam rolling anybody in their way and it’s the Mustangs turn to get run over.
Pag Meter Prediction Liberty 47 Stockdale 13 (Liberty 31 Stockdale 7)

CENTRAL SEQUOIA
HANFORD WEST HUSKIES (0-8) (0-3) at No 16 CVC CAVALIERS (6-2) (2-1)
Pag Meter Line CVC -35 +

The Huskies come in losing to Exeter 62-27.
CVC lost to Kingsburg 19-16. Eric Dragt threw 2 TD passes to Jaalen Rening. CVC had a 16-6 lead at the half so you know they will come out early and take care of business.
Pag Meter Prediction CVC 55 Hanford West 13 (CVC 70 Hanford West 12)

No 15 KINGSBURG VIKINGS (6-2) (2-1) at No 20 DINUBA EMPERORS (6-2) (2-1)
Pag Meter Line Dinuba -3
If the Vikings win, they will be the CSL Champions. If Dinuba wins, there will be a 3 way tie along with CVC.
The Vikings had one heck of a 2nd half in the win over CVC 19-16. QB Jett Jackson threw 2 TD passes. Bo Jackson scored on a 2-yard run.
Dinuba beat Selma 35-0. QB Josh Magana went 13-16 passes for 246 yards with 4 TD passes. Josh Martinez scored on a 69-yard TD run.
The X factor is Dinuba is very good at home. Can the Vikings get fired up again like they did against CVC?
The Emperors have a very good defensive line but so does CVC and the Vikings did just fine.
Pag Meter Prediction Dinuba 28 Kingsburg 25 (Dinuba 47 Kingsburg 35)

SELMA BEARS (4-4) (2-1) at EXETER MONARCHS (2-5) (1-2)
Pag Meter Line Selma -10
The X factor is the Exeter offensive line and can they control the line of scrimmage? Bears sophomore QB Joey Ramirez is doing a nice job. Joey is the younger brother of former Selma star Jr Ramirez. The Bears are a very streaky team.
Last week the Bears lost to Dinuba 35-0.
Exeter beat Hanford West 62-27. The Monarchs rushes for 517 yards in first win at their new stadium and first win since Oct. 14, 2016. Tyler Reser rushed for 252 yards and scored 5 TD’s.
Can Exeter get on a streak? This should be a very good game.
