Arroyo Grande Eagles (5-1) vs Bullard Knights (1-4)
Pag Meter Line Arroyo Grande -10
Broadcasted on 940 ESPN Radio
This is a very interesting match up on Bullard Homecoming night, with two teams that love to pound the ball.
The Eagles are big, physical and very disciplined. The Knights are fast, physical and hoping to be disciplined.
The Eagles come off a shutout win over Nipomo 38-0. Running back Kadin Byrne scored 4 touchdowns.
The Knights got their first win beating Clovis West 37-35. Cameron Simons kicked a 35-yard field goal at the end of the game. Jaden Pierucci threw TD passes to Kai Sunamoto and Marcus Fulcher. Fulcher and Shalom Welch both scored on rushing TD’s.
This is a great match up of 2 very good offensive lines along with good running backs.
The Eagles will lead with Byrne and Caleb Tomasin and the Knights will have Welch and Fulcher and Fulcher is finally healthy.
The X factor is both defenses. The Knights have a new QB with jersey boy Jaden Pierucci who gives the Knights life in the passing game. Jaden is the team leader that the Knights have been missing.
Both teams are very physical up front. The Knights got run over against the run in the week 1 loss to Buchanan so how much have the Knights improved at stopping the run because the Eagles will pound it right at the Knights.
The Eagles are all about their offense and will have many multiple formations and the Knights have to ready for all of them. The Knights defense is improving and almost healthy again is outstanding pass rusher Roman Wells who has 6 sacks.
The Knights are a completely different team from week 1.
The heat will help the valley Knights over the central coast Eagles.

De La Salle Spartans (6-0) at Buchanan Bears (4-1)
Pag Meter Line De La Salle -28

De La Salle comes in ranked 3rd in the state, 12th in the country and Buchanan comes in ranked 20th in the state and 176th in the country.
The Spartans are a machine on both sides of the ball. They have a VERY GOOD O-line and running behind the big guys will be Shamar Garrett & Henry To’oto’o.
The Bears will lead with running backs Levi Willems and Kendall Milton who has been practicing all week at 100%. The Bears have been looking forward to De La Salle coming to town for a while so you know the Bears will be FIRED UP!
The X factor is the Bears have a zero passing attack and without the forward pass there is a zero chance that Buchanan can hang with the professionals.
Will the Bears unleash Jalen Cropper at QB this week or wait for next week at Central? The Bears are a big play team and they will need it against an outstanding defense. The Bears have to get Cropper and Brock Jones involved in the offense for this game to be competitive.
Congratulations to Brock Jones who has verbally committed to play baseball at Stanford. When Stanford comes calling… stop at what you are doing and say yes!
