Pag Meter Line St Joseph -7
Here is a big one!
The G Hawks come off a big win over Righetti High 37-35. Kyle Connelly threw for 271 yards and 4 touchdowns.
St Joseph lost to Bakersfield Christian 38-31. The Knights have played 3 straight close games.
The X Factor is the G Hawks defense going against the Knights physical offense.
Pag Meter Prediction St Joseph 34 Centennial 27 (FINAL ST JOSEPH 48 CENTENNIAL 28)
Clovis East T Wolves (3-2) at Memorial Panthers (5-0)
Pag Meter Line Memorial -19
It’s the Wing T vs the Spread attack.
The T Wolves have won 3 straight and come off a win over Sunnyside 35-22.
The Panthers come in after beating Garces in the Holy Bowl 47-20. Alec Trujillo went 25-29, threw for 373 yards and 6 touchdowns. Jalen McMillian set a school record with 13 receptions for 202 yards and scored 4 touchdowns and also returned a punt for a touchdown.
The X factor and to pull off the major upset is the T Wolves offense has to be on with long drives and finish with points. The Panthers offense will strike fast so CE has to hope for some turnovers if not the Panthers will roll.
Pag Meter Prediction Memorial 45 Clovis East 26 (FINAL SJM 28 CLOVIS EAST 21)
Clovis North Broncos (1-3) at Ridgeview Wolf Pack (3-2)
Pag Meter Line Ridgeview -6
This is the physical offense of the Broncos vs the speed of the Wolf Pack.
The Broncos come in losing to Edison 37-28. QB DJ Frampton had a breakout game going 16-29 for 288 and 3 TD passes. Legendary Fresno St and future NFL hall of famer Rod Perry is now coaching the CN secondary.
The Wolf Pack come in after getting run over by the Drillers 41-14.
The X factor is the Broncos defense and they struggled against the Tigers and now they get another speedy team. Manning hasn’t had time to get the Broncos going as of yet.The Broncos have to pound it right at the Pack and the Pack offense has to get back to the big play style.
Pag Meter Prediction Ridgeview 33 Clovis North 27 (FINAL RIDGEVIEW 20 CN 14 OT)
Bullard Knights (1-3) vs Clovis West Golden Eagles (0-5)
Pag Meter Line Bullard -6
Who would have thought both teams combined would be 0-7? Not the Pag Meter.
The Knights played the last 2 weeks tough but came up short. The Knights 3 opponents are a 12-0 combined. Now that’s a tough schedule.
The Golden Eagles are playing a tough schedule and especially for a very young team.
The Knights defense is a physical team and the Knights offense just hasn’t stepped up yet.
The Golden Eagles have one of the top QB’s with Dante Chachere that has to do everything or the Golden Eagles have zero chance. Somebody has to step up and help Chachere.
The X factor is can the Knights get back to Knights football? I keep waiting for RB Marcus Fulcher to do his thing and have a breakout game.
There are rumblings in Knights nation that some players are not happy??
If this is the case,
listen up Bullard players and listen good….Don Arax has been coaching for 19 + years and I hear that this team has a few rotten idiots. Arax does it the right way and when I hear some players aren’t happy…then look in the mirror because YOU are the problem. It’s not head coach Arax or any of his staff….It’s you. Suck it up or quit! Tell Mommy and Daddy to stay in the stands and stop the fuss.. Fix it and don’t take the team down. This Bullard team has potential but all the stupid pop warner penalties are killing every drive. Will the Knights team leaders please step up!!!
As for Clovis West, they are young and getting manhandled on the offensive line and the secondary.
Which team will bring it on Friday and get their first win?
Pag Meter Prediction Bullard 27 Clovis West 21 (FINAL BULLARD 37 CW 35)
Dos Palos Broncos (0-4) at Chowchilla Tribe (3-2)
Pag Meter Line Chowchilla -6
The Broncos are 0-3 and easily could be 3-0. Every loss was so close.
The Tribe comes in and they either match up with their opponent or they don’t.
The X factor this is a great rivalry that dates back a long time ago when it was the Broncos vs the Redskins. Both teams match up with each other.
Pag Meter Prediction Chowchilla 30 Dos Palos 24 (FINAL CHOWCHILLA 41 DP 13)
Edison Tigers (2-3) at Dinuba Emperors (4-1)
Pag Meter Line Edison -3
Broadcasted Live on KFRE TV
The Emperors last year went 11-2 and the 2 losses were to the speedy Tulare Union Tribe. Apparently the Emperors just could not match up with the speed so Dinuba got the Tigers on the schedule to help when the playoffs come around.
The Tigers have plenty of speed but their bread and butter should be pounding the ball with McKinley Lee III who rushed for 248 yards on 26 carries and scored 3 touchdowns in the win over Clovis North. 37-28.
The Emperors come off a win over El Diamante 35-12.
The X factor is the Emperors defense. Dinuba does a great job against the run so this should be a good match up. The Tigers match up with any team but Central, Buchanan, Bakersfield and Liberty. Anybody else the Tigers can hang with. For the Emperors to win at home, QB Josh Magana has to have a great night. Edison has played a million times tougher schedule so the town of Dinuba has to bring the crowd to fire up the Emps!
Pag Meter Prediction Edison 36 Dinuba 33 (FINAL DINUBA 30 EDISON 7)

Golden West Trailblazers (2-3) vs Porterville Panthers (4-0)
Pag Meter Line Porterville -9
This is a big division 4 seeding game with the WYL vs EYL.
It’s the power running game of the Blazers vs the spread of the Panthers.
GW comes in after beating Madera South 49-22.
The Panthers beat Hanford 26-22. QB Hector Nava has now thrown 12 TD passes on the year.
Aaron Cruz scored the winning TD with 18 seconds to go.
The X factor is both defenses and who will play better?
Pag Meter Prediction Porterville 36 Golden West 27 (FINAL PORTERVILLE 28 GW 13)
Hoover Patriots (0-4) at Washington Union Panthers (2-3)
Pag Meter Line Washington Union -9
This is a very good match up with 2 teams that need a win.
The Patriots are getting better every week and playing a very tough schedule. The Panthers have also played a tough schedule and have plenty of speed.
The X factor is Jordan Daniels of the Patriots and can the Panthers slow him down?
Pag Meter Prediction Washington Union 29 Hoover 20 (FINAL WU 28 HOOVER 14)
CVC Cavaliers (4-1) at Immanuel Eagles (2-3)
Pag Meter Line CVC -27
The X factor this is the year that CVC can win it all and this is a rebuilding year for the Eagles.
The Cavs have been starting quickly since week 1 so the Eagles can’t get knocked out early or it will be a long night.
Pag Meter Prediction CVC 44 Immanuel 17 (FINAL CVC 51 IMMANUEL 21)
Lemoore Tigers (2-3) at Tulare Union Tribe (4-0)7
Pag Meter Line Tulare Union -16
Both teams can score a bunch of points.
Lemoore comes off a loss at Sanger 48-41. Brandon Hargrove rushed for 143 yards and scored 4 TD’s including 2 TD passes from Justin Holaday (17-24, 316 yards, 4 TD’s).
The X factor is the Tigers defense matching up with the Tribe offense with Nate Lamb (63-88, 1,063 yards, 11 TD’s) and WR Darius Baker (18 receptions, 421 yards, 4 TD passes)
Pag Meter Prediction Tulare Union 41 Lemoore 25 (FINAL TU 49 LEMOORE 0)
Liberty Patriots (3-2) at Clovis Cougars (4-1)
Pag Meter Line Liberty -3
This is a great match up and we will find out who is the No 4 team in division 1?
The Patriots bring in a very good defensive front/offensive line and power running back with Sammy Stewart. The Pates come off a loss to Buchanan 28-13.
The Cougars come in after crushing Salinas 40-16. The Cougars defense won and controlled the game for 48 minutes.
The X factor is the Patriots defense going against the Cougars passing attack. The Cougars flat out can’t run the ball so it’s the spread attack with the dink and dunk. The Cougars have the receivers of Matt Sanchez and Reef Dove that will take that dink or dunk for a long TD’s. QB Isaiah Robles is doing a great job getting the ball out quickly.
The Pates got run over by the Bears and the Bears offense is completely opposite of the Cougars. I was shocked that the Bears ran all over the Patriots when the Bears literally can’t throw the football.
The Bears can’t pass and the Cougars can’t run so how will the Patriots come up with a game plan this week.
That Patriots have played a million times tougher schedule but this is still a tough game to figure out because football is about matchups. I picked the Patriots last week to beat the Bears so do I pick the Patriots again? I can’t see the high powered Patriots going 2-3 heading into the SWYL.
This is by far the best team that the Cougars will have played this year.
Pag Meter Prediction Liberty 27 Clovis 24 (FINAL LIBERTY 48 CLOVIS 10)
Liberty (Madera Hawks (4-1) at Templeton Eagles (1-3)
Pag Meter Line Liberty Madera -30
The X factor is the Hawks will get back and do what they do best and that is getting the Hawks offensive machine rolling…
This could be a tough matchup for the Eagles.
Pag Meter Prediction Liberty Hawks 44 Templeton 14 (FINAL LIBERTY 67 TEMPLETON 27)
Madera Coyotes (4-1) at Selma Bears (2-3)
Pag Meter Line Madera -22
The Coyotes come in after getting run over at Merced 63-35. Merced finished with 617 yards of offense against the Coyotes. The score wasn’t as close as it looks. The Coyotes schedule did not prepare them for the Merced machine.
The Coyotes offense is real good and leading the way is QB Colt Nelson who threw 4 touchdowns in the 2nd half as he finished with 268 yards passing. He completed 29 of 48 passes.
The Bears have won 2 straight games and they have found a QB after starter Ricky Mota broke his arm in week 1 . Sophomore Joey Ramirez is now 2-0 as the starter and has thrown 6 TD passes.
The X factor is the Selma Bears offense is not close to the Merced Bears offense but the Coyotes defense is still a work in progress.
Can the Bears defense stay with the Coyotes speed on offense?
Pag Meter Prediction Madera 46 Selma 24 (FINAL MADERA 57 SELMA 55 double OT)
Madera South Stallions (0-4) vs Fresno High Warriors (1-4)
Pag Meter Line Fresno High -6
Both teams come in limping and this is a tough call. Both teams have the potential to get better.
The X factor is the Warriors are excited to be playing in the NYL where they match up with every team and for the Stallions….they have nothing to look forward too because they have to play in the TOUGH CMAC. Comparing the NYL vs the CMAC is like comparing a petting zoo to hanging inside the Lions cage at the Zoo.
WHEN WILL MADERA DO THE RIGHT THING AND GET MADERA SOUTH IN THE NORTH SEQUOIA!!
Pag Meter Prediction Fresno High 29 Madera South 23 (FINAL FRESNO HIGH 33 MS 19)
McLane Highlanders (4-0 ) at Yosemite Badgers (4-1)
Pag Meter Line Yosemite -4
Broadcasted on 940 ESPN Radio
Who would have thought in July that this would be a great match up? McLane sure did!
The Highlanders come in rolling and they have a new coaching staff with last years Yosemite head coach JD Burnett. JD took over a McLane team that was 1-19 in the last two years.
The Badgers also have a new coach with Chance Sigala and Chance and his staff are doing a great job especially at the beginning of the year when practice was tough to get outside because of all the big fires.
The X factor is going to be the Highlanders defense matching up with the Badgers offense.
This should be a great game and we are excited to be broadcasting it live on 940 ESPN Radio.
Pag Meter Prediction Yosemite 34 McLane 30 (FINAL MCLANE 42 YOSEMITE 13)

The Saints beat Golden West 42-30. The defense struggled against the Blazers Wing T but the offense steam rolled. QB Dominic Martinez scored 3 TD’s and Sammy Herrera scored 2 TD’s.
The X factor is both defenses and who plays better vs the high powered offenses?
The Pioneers have already played against two of the best with Tulare Western’s running game and Tulare Union passing attack so MW should be ready.
