Following the heartbreaking loss in extra innings to Buchanan, the Wolfpack turned their attention to the Central Grizzlies. Looking to turn the tide before getting into the final rounds of TRAC play, the game would not go as planned. The Grizzlies jumped in front following a 2-run home run from Isaac Ayon, then tacking on another the following inning, Central would get an early 3-0 lead. However, the Timberwolves would answer with a 5 run inning in the bottom of the fourth. The Wolfpack would hold off the Grizzlies, winning 5-4 and improving to 12-6 (2-3).

After getting back into the win column, Clovis North was next up on the schedule. The #1 ranked Broncos imposed their will early grabbing a 4-0 lead after the 2nd. Some walks and hit batters plagued the Broncos’ pitching staff giving up 5 runs in the 5th and 7 in the 6th, but a grand slam by Trevin Qualls put the game out of reach. The Timberwolves’ offense woke up and exploded! After taking down CN, the Wolfpack evened up the season series and moved to 13-6 on the season. They will look to take the series Friday at CN.
