Sanger baseball is 5-0 as of Wednesday March 7, when they were victorious in a tough game vs Sierra Pacific, ultimately winning on a walkoff hit by Jose Quiñonez. Jake Harrell and Jaime Pacheco combined for 13 total strikeouts on the pitching side, and Avalos, Boissonneault, and Quinonez each had an RBI and great games all around. They played Hoover (Thursday) and tomorrow, March 10, Sanger baseball plays Kingsburg at Fowler High School @3.
Boys basketball is currently in playoffs, having hosted Boyer on Wednesday evening for the Northern CA Division 3 bracket game and winning 66-60. The apaches lost their CIF championship game on Saturday to Immanuel at Selland Arena, final score 68-57. Their next game day, time, and location TBA.
Badminton has a match at home on Monday against Clovis East and travel to Sunnyside on Wednesday.
Swim & dive has a meet today against Clovis and next Wednesday against Central, with CIF relays over the weekend.
Boys tennis has a match on Tuesday at Madera and on Thursday against SJM.
Softball is trying to get their season off to a better start with a game at Redwood on Tuesday and on Saturday against Selma at 10am and Monache at 2pm.
All three boys volleyball teams will play at Clovis North on Wednesday at 3:30, then home vs Clovis East on Thursday afternoon.
Track & field has a meet at Clovis East this afternoon as well as an upcoming meet at Kingsburg on Saturday March 15th.
Lacrosse next plays in their own tournament on Saturday March 10th, and then next week against SJM on Tuesday and at Fresno High on Thursday.
