Another eventful and amazing week is coming to its conclusion for Madera South High School. Thursday February 1st and Friday February 2nd, eighth graders from feeder schools Desmond and MLK took a trip to MSHS to take tours around and get to know the campus. Led by Link Crew leaders, the eighth graders were able to see and receive information from an athletics standpoint, a medical career path standpoint, guitarist point of view, etc. These students also attended a mini rally, about 20 minutes long, thrown by Leadership in the East Gym to add to this first look of high school.

 

Our Boys Soccer team faced off with Bullard High School, Tuesday, January 30th and after a tremendous fight, finished with a loss of 0-4. Regardless of this minor loss, our boys came back Thursday, February 1st to play against Edison High School and finished with a win of 2-1. Congratulations to our boys Soccer, who will be facing MHS Tuesday, February 6th at 3:00/5:00. Come out and show our Soccer team school spirit and pride!

MSHS Boys Basketball went head to head with MHS Friday, January 26th, and finished with an outstanding victory of 64-43. Next, our boys faced Bullard High School Tuesday, January 30th and ended with a score of 56-73. Friday, February 2nd our Boys Soccer players will be facing Edison High School during a home matchup at 3:30/5:00/6:30. Good luck to our Soccer team on their next upcoming home game Tuesday, February 6th vs. Sanger High School.

 

Wednesday, January 31st, our Girls Basketball team faced Bullard High school and finished with a loss of 39-47. Next, Friday, February 2nd, our girls will be facing Edison High School, in hopes to repeat their latest victory against the tigers, at 3:30/5:00/6:30, located at EHS. Good luck to our girls! Go and show support to our Lady Stallions!

 

Girls Soccer faced Bullard High School, Wednesday, January 31st and despite great efforts, finished with a loss o 1-3. Hoping to come back stronger, our girls will be facing Edison High School in an away game at 3:00/5:00. Following this, our team will be going head to head with MHS Wednesday, February 7th at 3:30/5:00. Good luck to our favorite Girls Soccer Players!!

 

Good luck to our Wrestlers who will be hosting the Jr. High CVAL Championships at Madera South Saturday, February 3rd at 9am. Our wrestlers will be facing Bullard High School in a home match up on Wednesday, February 7th at 5:30/6:30, which will also be Senior Night.

Come out and support or Wrestlers during their tremendous matchup Wednesday!

 

Our Softball team has ended tryouts and began their first week of practice, and is off to a fantastic start. With new additions; Jackie Z., Destiny P., Jocelyn O., Kristina V., and Miranda M., the team looks to have not lost a beat and is starting off strong with productive practices. The players are excited to start the upcoming season with hard work and a strong mentality. Good luck to our Softball girls and we hope to see a terrific season out of them this year!
