Can Central Bounce Back

The Grizzlies took over the court last Friday against Clovis East coming out with a 74-65 victory, putting them in a first place tie with Buchanan and Clovis West. The Grizzlies hit the road against Clovis West, tuesday night, and it was a game to be forgotten. Central was beat from the opening tip off in 70-43 loss.
It was just a bad shooting night for the Grizzlies, shooting only 27% from the field on 18 for 67 attempts. Central also shot 11% from 3 point land only making 3 of their 27 attempts. Senior guards Cashmin Williams and Uriah Carter only had 8 points on 3 of 14 shooting. Junior Guard Tahriq Sharp said “It was just a bad shooting night, no shots were falling in”. Central’s offense wasn’t the only problem as the Grizzlies defense was flat out horrible giving up 10 points in the first 3 minutes which really set the tone of the game. Some of the keys that led to the Grizzlies big loss were their poor shooting, poor transition defense, and poor rebounding. Central will now shift their attention to last place Clovis North who beat Buchanan 60-58, a team who beat Central 72-65.
This game will be a great opportunity for the Grizzlies to bounce back against a very young team which has defensive struggles. Keys to the game will be Central has to create turnovers, run the floor, control the tempo, and play a fast tempo.

The Grizzlies will also have to drive to the basket more and get rebounds if they want to bounce back Friday night. This game is very important for Central if they still want a shot at the TRAC championship and the number 1 seed. Can Central bounce back after a horrible loss or will the Broncos of Clovis North pull an upset Friday night? @CentralEastHighSchool @7pm. Be there!!!
