Another amazing week has passed for Madera South High School! Many of our Stallions came together in hopes to save lives suffering from the Zika Virus on Friday, January 19th by donating 1 pint of blood each, to the Central California Blood Center in the East Gym. There was a terrific turnout of willing donors, and in result many people will receive the help needed.

Our MSHS Boys Soccer team has been performing extremely well with two wins in their last two games. Thursday, January 18th our boys faced MHS and came out with an exceptional victory on 5-2. Next, Tuesday, January 23rd our boys came back to faceoff with San Joaquin Memorial and finished with a win of 2-0. Thursday, January 25th MSHS Boys Soccer will be competing against Sanger High School at 3:00/5:00. Then, Tuesday, January 30th the boys will be competing in an away game vs. the Bullard Knights. Following this, Thursday, February 1st will be a home game vs. the Edison Tigers at 3:00/5:00. Amazing job and good luck to our favorite boys soccer players!

Girls Soccer has also had a great, well played week. This included their intense match up with MHS Friday, January 19th which finished with a hard fought loss of 0-1. Despite their previous loss, our girls came back stronger and with a positive mindset to face San Joaquin Memorial and finish with a remarkable win of 3-1. Next our Girls Soccer team will travel to Sanger High School to face off at 3:00/5:00 Friday, January 26th.

Friday, January 19th, the Madera South Varsity Boys Basketball team had an intense game vs. Sanger High School, including going into overtime, and finishing with a tremendous score of 69-68. Following this, Tuesday, January 23rd our Boys Basketball team faced off against San Joaquin Memorial, and after intense effort and a well fought game, finished with a loss of 51-82. Determined to bounce back stronger, our boys will be facing MHS and will also be celebrating the amazing Senior Night in their next home game, Friday, January 26th at 3:30/5:00/6:30. Following this match up, MSHS Boys Basketball will be travelling to Bullard High School ready to play at 3:30/5:00/6:00 Tuesday, January 30th. Good luck and tremendous job to our Boys!

Stallion’s Lady Basketball team went up against Sanger High School Friday, January 19th and came out on top with an outstanding victory of 62-47. Next, our girls faced San Joaquin Memorial, Wednesday, January 24th and finished with a loss of 23-75 despite their positive attitudes and drive to finish on top. Friday, January 26th our Girls Basketball will be playing at MHS at 3:30/5:00/6:30. Our girls hope to play their hearts out and come out on top, so good luck to our favorite girls basketball players!

We wish luck to both our JV and Varsity Madera South Wrestlers who will be competing this Saturday, January 27th at the Rumble XIV located at Pitman High School at 10 AM. Following this will be a match up at Edison High School Wednesday, January 31st at 5:30/6:30.
