No.1 Central vs No.2 Clovis West

Wednesday, October, 25:
Central is coming off a 53-7 victory against Clovis North Broncos. The Grizzlies are now 7-1 overall and 3-0 in TRAC play. The Central offense looked unstoppable putting up 53 points and racking up over 500 yards. Junior QB Trent Tompkins had himself a game throwing for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. The 3 star QB now has 23 TD passes and has thrown for over 2,000 yards. Senior Jevon Bigelow had a good game also he ran for 115 yards and 1 touchdowns. Senior WR Jacob Torrez had a monster game with 3 catches for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Grizzlies offense had their way with the Broncos defensive but so did the Grizzlies defense holding the Broncos offense to 7 points on 39 plays. Both Senior linebackers had a good game Tre walker with 11 total tackles and Jacob Hollins 8 total tackles. Senior FS Jaden Williams had a solid game with 2 tackles and 1 interceptions. The Grizzlies dominated the Broncos in this game but now they will face No.2 Clovis West. This game will have everything on the line the TRAC championship and the No.1 seed for the playoffs. Clovis West is 7-0 overall and 3-0 in TRAC play. Nobody expected Clovis West to be in this position especially after losing 4 star QB Adrain Martinez in the offseason the Eagles are now lead by Junior QB Dante Chachere who has 1,848 passing yarding and 15 touchdown passing touchdowns. The Grizzlies will have to keep their eye on WR Ricardo Arias who has 441 receiving yards on 29 catches. The X-factor for Central is can they stop the running game and put all the pressure on Dante Chachere. The Golden Eagles defensive will have to find ways to stop the best offense in the valley. Grizzlies QB Trent Tompkins is coming off an outstanding performance and with the Golden Eagles losing their leader on defense All-Star Senior linebacker DJ Schramm Tompkins could have another big game. The X-factor could be Tyrell Grayson who has 17 catches, 285 yards, 3 TD’s this season the Golden Eagles will have their focus on Bigelow and Torrez but Central has too many weapons on offense and Grayson and Boyd could have a big game. The Question in this game will be is can the Golden Eagles contain a very good Grizzlies offense and can the Golden Eagles run the ball against a very good Central defense who are lead by the two Senior linebackers Tre Walker and Jacob Hollins. This game could be a classic like Central vs Buchanan earlier this year. With the TRAC championship and No.1 seed for the playoffs on the line this game is a must watch. The game will be live on ESPN 940 pregame show starts at 6:45PM. Who will become TRAC champions and Will be in the driver seat for the No.1 playoff seed. Kickoff is at 7:00PM @ Lamonica Stadium.
