Thursday Night Football Final
EAST SEQUOIA
Granite Hills Grizzlies (7-1) (2-1) vs Sierra Pacific Golden Bears (2-6) (1-2)
The Battle of the Bears
Pag Meter line Granite Hills -35
The X factor is the Grizzlies are one week away from the Showdown in Strathmore. The Grizzlies have 5 shutouts in 7 games. Will it be 6 shutouts in 8 games?
Pag Meter Prediction Granite Hills 35 Sierra Pacific 0
Final Sierra Pacific 25 Granite Hills 12
The Pag Meter blew this pick!!! QB Will Springer threw 3 TD passes and scored on a 10 yard TD run. Are the Golden Bears back and ready to make a playoff run?
Friday Night Lights Finals
SOUTHWEST YOSEMITE
Centennial Hawks (2-6) (1-2) at Bakersfield Drillers (4-4) (2-1)
Pag Meter line Bakersfield-14
The X factor is the Golden Hawks defense. The Drillers might have found a steady QB with Jacob Maran who threw 2 TD passes in the win over Frontier 26-14. The Golden Hawks lost a tough game to Garces 28-21.
The only team that can beat the Drillers are the Drillers so we will see.
Pag Meter Prediction Bakersfield 35 Centennial 21
Final Bakersfield 28 Centennial 0
BHS held Centennial to 32 yards of net offense. WOW!! Caden Ochoa scored 3 TD’s in the first half and Ceyontay Bell rushed for 122 yards, scored on a 33-yard TD run in the third quarter.
Frontier Titans (6-2) (1-2) at Stockdale Mustangs (2-6) (0-3)
Pag Meter Frontier-6
Both teams need a win to stop the bleeding. Not only is this a big game in the SWYL but it’s also a big division 2 seeding game.
The X factor is Tye Johnson and J.J. Flores vs the Mustangs defense.
Pag Meter Prediction Frontier 27 Stockdale 21
Final Frontier
Titans QB Dustin Montanio went 9 -10 passing with two touchdown passes. Running back Tye Johnson ran for 120 yards and a score on a TD run and caught a TD pass.
Liberty Patriots (4-4) (3-0) at Garces Rams (2-6) (2-1)
Pag Meter line Liberty-7
The winners is in the driver’s seat to win the SWYL.
The X factor is the Rams defense and can they slow down the Patriots running game and Sammy Stewart? The Patriots are finally healthy as a team. That non league schedule beat up the Patriots. The Rams also played a tough non league schedule and it only made them better.
The Rams are playing really good football right now and watch out division 2 for the Rams. If the Rams win they will need a big game from Isaiah Martin who is on fire.
Pag Meter Prediction Liberty 27 Garces 20
Final Liberty 45 Garces 13
Isaiah Hill was 5-of-7 passing for 88 yards before halftime with touchdowns passes of 15, 25 and 36 yards while twice connecting with Seth Krauss. Sammy Stewart finished with 210 rushing yards on 28 carries and scored 2 touchdowns.

TRAC
Buchanan Bears (6-2) (1-2) at Clovis Cougars (5-3) (1-2)
Pag Meter line Buchanan -14
The good news for the Cougars is QB Payton Mayer is back after his shoulder injury. The Cougars really need a spark plug on offense. The Cougars got shutout on Saturday 33-0 to Central and the Bears blew a 14-3 lead at the half and lost 36-17 to Clovis West.
The X factor is the Bears are a very physical team and the Cougars offensive line needs to play off the charts good and protect Payton if the Cougars expect to win.
Can the Cougars defense slow down Trevor Ervin and/or Kendall Milton? It won’t be easy.

Bears WR Jack Wilkins got loose and caught 9 passes for 198 yards and 2 TD’s. Vinny Ortiz caught a 15 yard TD pass from Ty Hall. QB Ty Hall (208 yards, 3 TD passes) and QB Carson Bailey (112 yards, 2 TD passes) each had break out games. Cougars QB Jason Hunt ran for a 3-yard touchdown, connected with Michael Machado for a 6-yard TD, and scored on a 1-yard run.
Clovis North Broncos (2-6) (1-2) at Central Grizzlies (7-1) (3-0)
Pag Meter Central-41
Here is the scoop in this game.
The Broncos offense is not good but the Broncos defense is kind of good.
The Grizzlies offense is very good and the Grizzlies defense is very good.
You see the problem here for the Broncos?
The Grizzlies have the gunslinger QB Trent Tompkins who has thrown for 1,812 yards with 20 TD passes. The wide receivers are red hot with Jacob Torrez, Jeremiah Hunter, Tyrell Grayson, and Avery Boyd. You can’t forget about one of the hottest running backs with Jevon Bigelow.
The X factor is the Broncos offense will not be able to keep up with that Grizzlies group on the field turf.
The only question is will the Broncos score?
Pag Meter Prediction Central 41 Clovis North 0
Final Central 53 Clovis North 7
Trent Tompkins went 15-23 for 312 yards with 3 TD passes and scored on a 8 yard TD run. Jacob Torrez caught 2 TD passes including a 87 yarder. Javon Bigelow rushed for 112 yards and scored on an 15 yard TD run.

Clovis West Golden Eagles (7-1) (3-0) vs Clovis East T Wolves (0-8) (0-3)
Pag Meter line Clovis West -28
The Golden Eagles are the heavy favorite but if the T Wolves offense does their thing, the Golden Eagles will not get many chances on offense. CE loves to milk the clock and it might keep the CW offense on the sidelines for much of the quarters.
The X factor is the CE defense doesn’t have enough to slow down the CW offense.

Pag Meter Caruthers-7
Broadcasted on 940 ESPN Radio
The Pag Meter is excited to be broadcasting the westside showdown. These teams are only 10 minutes away from each other so it will be a big crowd.
The Blue Raiders come in red hot on offense and leading the way is Wide receiver Issac Franco who set a school record by catching 4 touchdown passes from quarterback Jared Gilmore as the Blue Raiders beat Parlier 58-21. Franco also ended with 5 receptions for 117 yards.
The Cowboys took care of business and beat Minarets 55-24. Leading the way for the Cowboys is senior QB 6-3 Mitch Maggini. The Cowboys offense can light up the scoreboard.

Imanol Arredondo scored 2 TD’s and with 6 seconds left in regulation Jared Gilmore hit Isaac Franco on a beautiful TD pass to send the game into overtime. The Cowboys Jo Jo Piceno scored a big TD to give the Cowboys the lead. QB Mitch Maggini was a man beast running the offense. Mitch would be starting on any team in division 1 at QB!

Fowler Redcats (6-2) (2-0) at Minarets Mustangs (2-7) (0-3)
Pag Meter Fowler-9
The Redcats are the in between team. They can beat the weaker teams but struggle against the top teams on the schedule. Minarets has played a killer schedule.
The X factor is the Mustangs defense going against Martin Plata, Chris Silva, Anthony Lopez and the Redcats offense.
Pag Meter Prediction Fowler 36 Minarets 27
Final Fowler 33 Minarets 27
Martin Plata had a big game rushing for 248 yards and scored 4 TD’s. Plata scored on TD runs of 47, 8, 81 yards and returned a kickoff for a 80 yard TD.

CVC Cavaliers (8-0) (3-0) at Exeter Monarchs (5-3) (1-2)
Pag Meter line CVC -22
The Caves got thru Selma and Kingsburg but has to take care of business on the road before the big game next week in Dinuba.
The X factor is the Exeter defense and can they slow down the red hot CVC offense which is led by QB JJ Lino and RB Jaalen Rening who rushed for 114 yards and scored 2 TD’s in the win over Kingsburg 24-7. The Monarchs beat Immanuel 38-21.
Pag Meter Prediction CVC 38 Exeter 16

Dinuba Emperors (7-1) (2-1) at Kingsburg Vikings (6-2) (1-2)
Pag Meter line Dinuba -17
The Emperors are red hot on both sides of the ball.
The X factor it’s always tough to play in Kingsburg and Dinuba can’t look past the Vikings with the CSL championship game next week vs CVC. Can the Vikings offense have a good game against a very good Dinuba defense? It’s QB Josh Magana from Dinuba vs RB Bo Jackson (978 yards/16 TD’s) from the Vikings. Dinuba’s RB Alek Marroquin has rushed for 571 yards rushing and 9 TD’s. Senior receiver Colton Martinez has caught 7 TD passes.

Final Selma 31 Immanuel 14
Junior Ramirez rushed for 245 yards and scored on TD runs 34, 59 and 41 yards. Eagles QB Adam Simonian threw 2 TD pass. (Bradley Collins-Dunn 21 yards and Chris Gurrola 88 yards)
CMAC
Bullard Knights (5-3) (3-0) vs Madera South Stallions (1-7) (0-3)
Pag Meter line Bullard -45
The Knights are on fire and the Stallions are learning to build a football foundation. Matt Johnson is slowly changing the Madera South culture to football. It’s never been done before at Madera South. Donny Arax had to do the same thing at Kerman, Reedley and even Bullard so it will take time for Matty J.
The X factor while Matt Johnson is changing the ways at Madera South, the Stallions have to play in the CMAC and battle red hot running back Marcus Fulcher and the Knights offense.
Pag Meter Prediction Bullard 45 Madera South 0
Final Bullard 54 Madera South 7
Marcus Fulcher rushed for 135 yards and scored 3 TD’s. For the year Marcus has now rushed for 1,233 yards and has scored 15 TD’s.
Edison Tigers (4-4) (2-1) at Sanger Apaches (7-1) (2-1)
Pag Meter line Edison -17
Every year the Tigers have struggled against the Apaches triple option.
The X factor is Apaches QB Jalen Cropper vs the best defense in the valley.
Sanger leads series 21-15-0. Last year Sanger beat the Tigers 28-18. How will the Apaches defense handle the Tigers running backs of Mckinley Lee and Taylin Green?
The Tigers should be too much for the Apaches.
Pag Meter Prediction Edison 30 Sanger 13
Final Sanger 27 Edison 20

— PAG METER (@PAGMETER) October 25, 2017
This is the worst Edison loss in 20 plus years and the best Sanger win in a while. Edison has 10 plus division 1 college players and Sanger is rebuilding. Edison lacks discipline and cocky. Sanger is business like and a smarter team. Jalen Cropper with a sore ankle out ran the super athletes for a 67 yard game winning TD. Jalen also scored on a 8 yard TD run. Orlando Douglas scored on a 21 yard TD run and Bill Kulow scored on a 1 yard TD run. Tigers Taylin Green (15 yard TD run) and Steve Stevens (6 yard run) scored TD’s. Teyjohn Herrington caught a 36 yard TD pass from Jameson Silva.
Madera Coyotes (4-4) (0-3) at Memorial Panthers (7-1) (2-1)

EAST SEQUOIA
Lindsay Cardinals (3-5) (2-1) at Woodlake Tigers (3-5) (0-3)
Pag Meter line Lindsay-2
The X factor both teams are very streaky. The Tigers come in after losing a tough one to Corcoran 23-21 and Lindsay played tough in the loss to undefeated Granite Hills 14-0.
This should be a really good game.
Pag Meter Prediction Lindsay 22 Woodlake 20
Final Lindsay 33 Woodlake 23 (No stats available)
Corcoran Panthers (1-7) (1-2) at Strathmore Spartans (8-0) (3-0)
Pag Meter line Strathmore -35
The Panthers are a good 1-6 team. They play well for 36 minutes but a mistake here and there has cost them. Now they have to play the red hot Spartans.
The X factor can the Panthers offense slow down the game with RB Julian Escalante’s with long drives? The Spartans might be looking ahead to next week’s big game vs 7-0 Granite Hills. The Spartans are a knockout team and the Panthers have to avoid the big 1st quarter onslaught of Joseph Garcia who has rushed for 1,173 yards/21 TD’s scored and the Spartans offense.

NORTH SEQUOIA
Kerman Lions (7-1) (2-0) at Sierra Chieftains (1-7) (0-3)
Pag Meter line Kerman -48
The X factor is this game will be over by halftime and it’s not the fault of Sierra. They only have 17 players on the roster. This is why the Pag Meter believes that we should figure out divisions before the season begins and not every 2 years. That being said the Chieftains should be playing in division 6. Sierra will be leaving the North Sequoia league.
Lions QB Sean Chambers has turned into a running back who can throw the football. Sean has rushed for 973 yards and has scored 11 TD’s. Chris Acosta has rushed for 720 yards and has scored 5 TD’s. Colton Smith has rushed for 362 yards and has scored 7 TD’s.
The defenses playing the Lions are stuck with a decision? Take away the run (Good luck with that) or force the Lions to throw it. BTW, Sean has thrown for 848 yards.
The difference this year with the Lions team is the defense is real good.
Pag Meter Prediction Kerman 55 Sierra 7
