Women’s Water Polo dominated in the pool this past week. Last weekend they participated in the El Capitan Summit Tournament and they cruised through the competition. Going 5-0 with scores of 14-2, 14-0, 14-1, 15-0, and 14-1. Then the Wolfpack welcomed the Central Grizzlies to the REC for another TRAC showdown. They breezed to victory with a 21-0 win! Next up is the CN Invitational, then Tuesday(10/12) the Golden Eagles travel to the REC to avenge their loss to the T-Wolves earlier in the season.

Men’s Water Polo also hosted the Grizzlies and they seemed to find their stride in the pool. Cruising to a 11-5 victory behind juniors Cameron Frazier and Jacob Sill, both with 3 goals. Senior goalie Ashton Valdez kept the Grizzlies out of the goal with 6 saves. The Timberwolves will also welcome Clovis West in another TRAC showdown.
Women’s Volleyball had a huge TRAC game against the Clovis Cougars last Thursday following their win against Clovis North. The Timberwolves and Cougars battled it out. The Timberwolves defeated the Cougars in 4 sets, improving to 2-0 in the TRAC. Clovis West entered the gym and the Lady Timberwolves geared up for another huge TRAC game. The Golden Eagles revealed some weaknesses for the Wolfpack and took the game 3-1. Next up for the Clovis East are the #1 ranked Central Grizzlies on Tuesday(10/10) who will be a tough match for the Wolfpack but they are up for the challenge.

Football put in work this past week as they prepared for their TRAC opener against the Clovis Cougars. The Timberwolves are the underdogs but don’t count them out. Their big struggle this year has been finishing games, losing their last 2 games on last minutes touchdowns. The Wolfpack is hungry for their first win in two years and their first TRAC win since 2009. Don’t be surprised if there is a close game at Lamonica Friday night in the Pigskin for the Pink game as both Clovis East and Clovis High will be supporting breast cancer awareness. Kickoff is at 7:00.
