Clovis East Football Heartbreaker & More

Women’s Volleyball took the court Tuesday as they traveled to take on the Broncos of Clovis North. It was a hard fought match as the T-Wolves took the first set 25-19. The Broncos battled back winning the second and third. The Lady Timberwolves didn’t quit, winning the fourth and forcing a fifth set. In a close fifth, the T-Wolves edged out the Broncos winning 15-13. This is the first TRAC win for the Timberwolves and there are definitely more to come. Both teams battled hard but only one could come out on top. The Lady Timberwolves will welcome Clovis West to the REC next Tuesday(10/3).

Men’s and Women’s Water Polo both attempted to get back to their winning ways this past Wednesday. They both traveled to Buchanan to take on the Bears. The Men’s team has been having a tough time lately against the TRAC and their struggles continued as they lost to the Bears. The Lady Timberwolves also tried to bounce back from last week’s loss to the Broncos. They too fell to the Bears. The entire Wolfpack Water Polo program will try again next week when they welcome the Grizzlies of Central to the REC.

Football suffered a heartbreaker last Friday against the Foothill Cougars. Leading the entire game just to lose it with 30 seconds left in the fourth. An interception from Justice Cantu seemed to seal the deal with 5 minutes left on the clock and the Timberwolves leading 24-20. However, things can change in an instant. The Cougars got the ball back and marched down the field and scored the go-ahead touchdown. Heartbreak at Lamonica. However, not all was bad. It was Homecoming and the festivities were on full display. The Sophomores took the win in the class skits and Romello Knight and Charity Yang won Homecoming King and Queen. Lots to look forward to as the Wolfpack begins TRAC play October 6 against the Clovis High Cougars. It is the Pigskin for the Pink game so show up in your pink. Kickoff is at 7.
