Eagles Go For 3 In A Row

Firebaugh Eagles are coming into this week as leaders of the overall WSL record at 2-1 after a 63-31 barnburner against Riverdale outscoring the Cowboys 42-7 the second half as they were led by Hunter Hogue who scored 5 touchdowns. The Eagles now are getting ready for their Homecoming game against Caruthers looking to continue their streak with just one game after this week before League Play begins. Will the Eagles fly high again and win their 3rd straight? Or will the Blue Raiders ground the Eagles and snap the streak? Mendota was coming off a defensive battle against Roosevelt and Immanuel these past two weeks and they went 1-1 beating Roosevelt 12-6 and losing to Immanuel 22-14 last week… They enter the Bye Week (1-3) as they get ready for their final non-league game against Minarets on the 29th.
Dos Palos traveled up north to face off against their rival Los Banos in the 79th Westside War at Loftin Stadium where the Broncos were looking to finally snap a 6-year losing streak and bring the Cotton Bale back to Bill Hume Stadium… Unfortunately, it was not meant to be as the Tigers came in hard and quick and dispatched Dos Palos to extend their losing streak to 7 years after the 49-22 win. Dos Palos will now look to face off against Chowchilla and get a win to boost them back to their winning ways with 2 weeks till WSL Play starts. Broncos vs Tribe… Dos Palos vs. Chowchilla
Avenal had the week off after beating Corcoran in OT 26-20 and will set their sights on the Aztecs… No not the Mendota Aztecs… The Farmersville Aztecs as they look to maybe start a winning streak as they also get ready for WSL Play to start.  Bucs vs. Aztecs… Avenal vs. Farmersville
Coalinga started so well at 2-0 and was atop of the standings… After two weeks they fall to 2nd after another loss this time to the Selma Bears 28-6 and drop to 2-2…Coalinga will have the night off as they prep for their final non-league game against Kingsburg next week.
Tranquillity has fallen on hard times and sit dead last in the WSL at 0-4 after Minarets had their fun with them in a 55-12 blowout last week and will get a much deserved rest before going against the Strathmore Spartans to finish off their non-league schedule next week.
