Madera South Is Storming through

The Stallion Storm is ‘storming’ through the third week of the 2017-2018 school year marvelously! Thursday, August 31 MSHS and MHS will be hosting the NAACP rally to remind children that if you stay in school, you may strive for tremendous goals. The “We Believe” movement is going around Madera schools, reassuring students, that no matter the dream they have, MUSD staff members will do everything in their power to help reach this goal. All students were asked to fill out “We Believe” note cards stating their beliefs in the school, district and/or themselves, MSHS has put up their students note cards aligned into big letters spelling out “We Believe” on the Media Center Windows for parents to view at Back To School night Tuesday, August 29.

Madera South Football faced Pacheco High School Friday, August 25th and came out with a loss of 14-35. Quarterback, Steven Alaniz #18/ #9 says that the team started off good but needs to finish the fourth quarter strongly, it was a tough devastate that nobody expected to occur due to the team’s confidence being at its ultimate high, but little mistakes got to them and stopped them from moving the ball. This week they will be working on coming back from the little mistakes and recovering for their game, Friday, September 1st, 7 PM @ Kerman High School. In spite of this past game, he also feels that the team has a lot of playmakers on both sides of the ball and can do tremendously this year. He believes they will surprise many fans at their first home football game, he also truly believes that due to their abundance of talent the team can be great, and maybe even championship contenders.
